  1. 3.50 NEWTON ABB Pretty sure ground conditions will soften up overnight and this will be run at break neck speed,if all stand their ground, however I find this unlikely. One that will stays and likes underfoot soft ground is THE SNEEZER, Likes to be up with the pace, and will stay. Second run since coming here from Ireland, and this race could just fall right. 8/1 with 365 is big, expect about half this tomorrow, as I think there maybe a couple of NRs and I feel it will be backed. WIN BET FOR ME.

  2. Re: BBOTD - Monday 27th May 4PM REDCAR CLON BRÛLÉE 7/2 hills Ladbrokes coral. A cracking handicap, for the top race of the day, the selection is a rapidly improving 4yo, is used to the hustle and bustle of fast run handicaps, this will be one today. Position early is always crucial here, but you can't be to far back, I expect him to have a decent position around the long bend, he should be close enough to the rail, in midfield. I expect him to come thru and kick about the 2 mark. There are plenty of others to consider here, but inexperience, track position and chap marks take quite a few out for me. A pretty confident win bet.

  3. Re: 25th May @ Chester Second choice KUDA HURAA 3.40CHESTER around 10/1 another good ew bet, 1mile6 today is right up his street, and Chester may bring out the best, acted well at Epsom, he should have no problems here. Alank king is well in form, and has a decent 1 here today. may I suggest, two each way singles and a small ew double, prices are at the moment 15/2 and 10/1 a decent return if both come off, and if both are placed, you'll still see a profit. Weather is glorious have a great day out. Stay safe, and good luck.

  4. Re: BBOTD - Saturday 25th May 5.20 CHESTER GABRIEL'S WAWA 15/2 bet365 Cant get much on with these, but what a price. I honestly can't see this one being out of the frame, and really fancy the horse. Last time out was a bit far, and today will be ideal, dropping a touch. Ground n track are perfect, and is still on the improve, cast iron ew for me, but win for this thread., expect to go off at around 4/1 in my book.

  5. Re: Flat Racing - Friday 24th May 3.55 yar 28/1 Stan j OPERA BUFF A mare that has just moved stable owned by bob cooper, off a really good mark today, and could be the right time to catch her. dead 8 but pulled one out, ew but will also back a place on betfair, still first 3. she is way overpriced on her old form, but not much investment required for a potential decent return

  6. Re: BBOTD Friday 24th 2.35 Goodwood Magic City 12/1 365 The best handicapped in the race, plus jockey taking 5off. Needs to be buried to be delivered late, stable in form, and if they have him on song, will take care of this lot. 1/2 point e/w, decent ew for me.

  7. Re: 25th May @ Chester First one that sticks out. 5.20 GABRIEL'S WAWA Acts on the track, and ground. Down in distance is a big plus, maybe around the front of the betting but a great chance tomorrow. Will have another look later at a few more races.

  8. Re: 2013 Epsom Derby

What with the superstar jolly at 10/11 that's all the man/woman on the street can do fella. The Queen Mother was a slightly different kettle of fish in my eyes, fences had to be jumped too. If your have good money down for the Derby i wish you the very best of luck M8.
If he goes on to win....We will have another superstar, 5f -12f unbeaten. Two classics in there. even the great MILL REEF Could not do that. History books updated, and possibly. Regardless of the price, he will be approaching SEA THE STARS in my book. If he wins the international then ARC he will be in the same boat.
  9. Re: 2013 Epsom Derby It's not the race, that we have or will have a low turnout. As I said to have a 130 horse, will scare most. Did we have a piss poor QUEEN MOTHER or did we have a superstar? Just sit back and watch a great horse in action.

  10. Re: Next Everton Manager

Seems to be a two horse race between Vitor and Martinez now' date=' the Liverpool Echo ran a story today in their rumour section that a Portugese newspaper said that he has already signed a pre-contract agreement with Everton, I know he was a guest at Goodison over the xmas period too. Who knows. Gl anyway[/quote'] OGS halved in price. EFC TO ANNOUNCE OVER THE WEEKEND...IM TOLD
  11. Re: 25th May @ Chester Full dec appear later today, without knowing the draw at Chester it makes some races impossible to call. Maybe tonight or tomorrow night, people may have more time to look. The tag of BBOTD SATURDAY 25th MAY is worth looking at on Saturday morning, also. There may be some selections for a Chester race or two. Have a nice day, THE WEATHER IS SUPPOSED TO BE SUNNY AT 17 Degrees........But hey what do I know..

  12. Re: A Sad Day For Racing

Completely agree with a ban although this is just a needle in a haystack. Lets be honest stuff goes on every week especailly on the all weather with certain operations and not a whiff of a stewards, however some of the best practitioners are much more 'cute' in their misdemeanors- one of the classic tricks being to position their mount well wide on the final bend and running on to finish out of the places- Although if we are honest the lack of prize money has a lot to answer for in this respect in class 4-6 races when especially later in the week there will be reasonable liquidity on the exchanges and laying is easily disguised and a resonable profit to cover over and above the expenses is easily achieved. MInd you I've just seen a clip of Sligo last evening-umm I wonder if that result would have been altered if it hadn't been the MUllins yard's fav which got beaten!!
Point 1. I'm all for trying to get a horse to a win handicap mark, some horses can only win at a certain grade. And people lay horses based on that, and GL to them. It is when a horse is good enough, and thru the jockey not doing his/her job right has got the horse beaten. However, there are some blatant cheats, who have no regard to instructions, and have their own agenda, as they know with other people involved they can make a pretty penny, we all have our ideas on who they are, and you should bet accordingly when in that situation. Ahern was like a full blown cancer on the sport, ,,,no tears here. Point 2. It was a strange decision as we have seen worse without a change, consistency is all we want, but how long have supporters been crying for that? I don't think it will ever change in the foreseeable.
  13. Finally after years of open corruption the BHA have acted. To little to late IMO, Shame on the BHA. That is why it is sad. It has taken far to long. I am referring to the Corrupt "EDDIE AHERN", The times i can think were he has got horses beaten, without any regard for the punters. Good bye Eddie and Good ridance, Filthy Jockey finally got your come uppance. Ban to follow I hope he gets a life time ban, Im sure there will be 1 or 2 more willing to take up the lead!

  14. Re: Tour De France

Contadors price looks far to big at around $3.50. Everybody is taking for granted the fact that Froome will be ahead of Wiggins after the first week and wiggins will help him for the rest of the tour. Sources around cycling are saying that wiggins isn't interested in playing second fiddle to Froome but I dare say if Froome gets on top early he has no choice. Contador is a freak and at the very least should be equal fav imo. What's everyone's picks ? Top 10s and so on.
There is a rumor, that wiggins won't even show up, as there is friction in the camp. That is the last thing sky want, if he ain't on board with playing second fiddle, I expect him to no show, and be number 1 next year for someone else.
  15. Re: 2013 Epsom Derby German G3 Winner CHOPIN supplemented for the Derby. Connections feel that apart from DA it's wide open, and well worth the investment. only have to finish 4th to see a nice profit. 14/1 Spencer will ride, however they will come over a day or two early to get him settled.

  16. Re: 2013 Epsom Derby

Telescope heads to Lingfield like you mentioned and will work at 1pm tomorrow. If they had the option to go for a gallop at Epsom I don't understand why they wouldn't go for that instead.
If it is correct about being high strung, many horses lose the race before entering a box to travel. He may be one of them. But Derby Day hustle n bustle will only make things worse. Cant have a horse that is this way, that's why they geld them.
