  1. Re: Tour De France

Yepp, I agree - mass sprint time. Coral are really keen on laying Cav in this one, and have him priced at 5/1 - which I am more than happy to take. I think his price has been inflated because the mountain is, as you say, early on and is, imo, slightly overrated. Furthermore, there are the reports of his illness, but he did well in today's TTT, which is good. Also, it's Mark Cavendish. I think Peter Sagan is overrated in this race (again because of the overrated mountain), and should be opposed. Kittel looks big at 16/1 (again with Coral), and as they're paying out four places in this, he has to be backed in my opinion. That's 4/1 for him to, for example, finish fourth behind Cav, Greipel and Sagan. 3.5pts Mark Cavendish win @ 5/1 - Coral 1pt Marcel Kittel e/w (1/4 odds 4 places) @ 16/1 - Coral
BANG IN THERE CAVENDISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Corals...Pay up LADS!
  2. Re: ladbrokes not paying out, please help!

ladbrokes staff in shop' date=' when I complained said they would try and figure it locally, does that mean anything, or any chance of anything happening?[/quote'] Have a tenner on Crystal Palace to win the League....You will have more of a chance...If they pay you and gets out...Even worse publicity...
  3. Re: The Jockey Thread 3.10 PERTH....Dougie Costello....needs a wake up call...20 lens down jumping 3rd last,,,got serious when 10 lens down after the last,,,gets beat 1/2 len...Feel sorry for punters who backed it in from 12/1.....All you ask for is a fair crack...He is another who is going downhill...Shocking ride.

  4. Re: ladbrokes not paying out, please help!

wrong! place terms for a dead heat first are unaffected the places paid out in full Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
ok,,,,,apologies.:ok.But this result was known within MINS by the BHA,,not weeks/days later, the photo print would have been sent to them with mins,,,THEY KNEW more or less straight away,,its a pity no one had the nuts to make a decision ..instead of sticking their heads in the ground.
  5. Re: ladbrokes not paying out, please help!

Never a truer word spoken. They have to settle on the day's result - if they didn't then mathematically they'd be losing out on the race. Heaven forbid. Blame the judge who got the result wrong and if it helps take some solice the the fact he has been sacked - unlike Jockey's who just get a suspension when they make a mistake or bookmakers who get away with whatever they want all of the time. Morally, they should pay you but I suppose their view is that they can't recover the money they've already paid out on the 2nd(!). Good Luck if you do chase it.
Altho the paid out on the 16/1 win, they also got away with 8/5 on the place, instead of just over 3/1, Yes there will be a slight loss in the scheme of things if they pay out the evens winner, but have you noticed how even in the face of widespread condemnation those LADBROKES reps who like to come on telly, have all gone missing...I blame the BHA, as this was easy to turn around, they stick their heads in the ground, when it comes to punters...They knew within mins...and could have called an inquiry, but they delayed and delayed until the next day.
  6. Re: ladbrokes not paying out, please help!

I would go to the press and highlight their greedy policy. A letter to the racing post or anybody who might fight your corner. Matt Chapman ATR maybe? Nobody likes bad publicity and they may give you an ex-gracia payment if there are public people lobbying for you. Then close your account if it suits.
Joe ...the RP receive hundreds of thousands in advertising off Ladbrokes and Victor...There not going to dump on their own doorstep...and ATR get millions of revenue off Ladbrokes...Don't hold your breath....
  7. Re: BBOTD > Wednesday 3rd July Tough choice today with PETER BOWEN horses, as ive backed a few of them...But which to put in here?, Forever my friend 4/1 2.20 w... or Get Home now 5/1..5.20 w..Both have great chances, and will be a lot shorter...mmmmmmm....OK FOREVER MY FREIND 4/1 2.20 WORCESTER IS MY SELECTION....4/1 BOYELS AND BET VICTOR.....LTO I think the race come far to quick, 4 days...still finishing an honourable 2nd, and he has gone up only 1b. Plus the firm and tight track were against him, they said good/firm, but was quicker than that, this more galloping track on good ground is his game, the horse is still improving for me...He should have nothing to fear from Calypso Bay...on a line thru..NOTHINGBUTHETRUTH...gl

  8. Re: Jump Racing 3rd July

Bowen sends one runner to Perth in the 4:40 - Quel Ballistic. The trainer has a record of 20 wins in 76 at the track overall and a chasing record of 9 in 38 (24%), but there are two Gordon Elliot runners in the race too. Should be a good race! Available at 7/4 with Paddypower at the moment. Bowen has had 11 winners in his last 23 runners (48%). He's running 4 at Worcester which also have a very good chance if the market is anything to go by :ok
Cheers m8, I did say a couple of weeks ago about following him until it dries up,,,I have been following him for the last month or so,,and If I had left it to his stable, I would be to the moon and back..However Ascot killed me as a meeting...But yesterdays 5/2 shot at Startford(vine my boy), was a big lift....Reckon he will get 2 or 3 today,,,:ok
  9. Re: BBOTD > Tuesday 2nd July

First post in BBOTD, hope it's ok. Bath 7:30 Duke of Perth 11/10 SkyBET Second in a class 4 last time out 5 lengths clear of 3rd place who went on to win a Class 4 event comfortably at Chester in it's next run. My selection is down in grade to class 5 tonight with Frank Spencer on board ( I don't know whether that's a positive but he's been doing well recently)
The very best of luck...and Welcome...
  10. Re: Wimbledon 2013

Agneszia Radwanska to win the Championship 6/1 Most firms. Just about the best player left in the tournament for me. Tomorrow she faces LI NA' date= LI has never progressed further than the 1/4's. on grass.., ,You may say AR has a weak serve, but she is far better at the volley, drop shot, and a all round thinking game, with no big boom serve left in the tourney, she can go 1 better than last year. they are 1-1 in match ups this year, but on grass, AR should take this, and be less than half the odds tomorrow afternoon.
Im happy with that....Win Bet on todays match, and a nice trade on the championship to come..:cow.......8 match points was a bit much..:spank
  11. Re: Tour De France

Sagan has built up a decent lead in the Points classification which means we can do a bit of trading. First of all Cavendish is available to back at 13/2 which is too big as he can gain points on Sagan on the flatter stages to come. Also Stage 1 winner Kittel is avaiable at 40 on Betfair which is a crazy price given he has the advantage of gaining big points on stage 1 when the others gained nothing. Sagan should still be favourite, but I thought he would win stages 2 and 3 so has lost a few points there and the market has over reacted to his lead. This should put us in a good position on this market. Also tomorrow's stage is the team time trial and I like Garmain at 9/4 with Coral. They won this stage the last time it was held in 2011 and this has been their big pre Tour target. They also have the added bonus of being able to get David Millar the yellow jersey should they win the stage tomorrow and that will be a huge incentive. Their main rivals Sky and Omega Pharma-Quick Step both have injury problems in their teams. Geriant Thomas is suffering from a fractured pelvis for Sky, whilst Tony Martin suffered a bruised lung in his fall and that is a huge loss for the latter given he is the best time-trialist in the Tour. Garmain to win Stage 4 1.5pts
Moviestar at 8/1 ew for the stage is worth a look.
  12. Re: HUGHES v MOORE

Just seen the Windsor results' date=' 7 race card, 6 of the winners going to either Moore or Hughes (3 each) plus one for Doyley. The 6 timer paid £399 to a £1 stake and it would have been possible to go with Moore/Hughes rides and perm them for a decent return. I didn't even look at the Windsor cards in any depth so do results suggest they were on the best horses or would you say they are the 2 best jockeys? If those horses has been ridden by Hanagan, De Sousa, Spencer etc would the results be the same?[/quote']I think they have good yards, but more important, very good agents,,I take more notice of outside/out of the ordinary bookings, The last race was a banker for me, riding for Gosden...And if it was not for the James doyle gamble that only just seen it out, the two culprits were right on his tail....However this week, Moore is banned until Saturday now,,:$ As for the jockeys you list, these two are just better IMO, big criteria.

  14. Both just shy of 25% SR, this will go down to the wire in November imo, if both stay fit. 4/11 hughes on july 1st, 5/2 moore. You always fancy in a finish Moore will get the better of the argument, much stronger imo. Well advertised at Windsor tonight.

  15. Re: Flat Racing Monday 1st July

6.45 Ffos Las Captain Whoosh 5/2 Paddy Power Dodger Marley weakened inside the last furlong at Bath in a maiden over 5f and needs to improve to be involved here. After a promising maiden run by Flying Bear it was disappointing to see him finish a one paced 2nd to Meccas Angel over 5f at Haydock. However the one they all have to beat is Captain Whoosh who ran green fto over 5f at Haydock but still managed to stay on for third behind an odds on Gosden winner. The stable is very good with their 2yo and they usually improve for the run. He should know more about it today and provide his trainer with another 2yo winner. 10 Points win Captain Whoosh 5/2 Paddy Power
    wd :okwith this.
  16. Re: My £400 Bet on Italy VS Japan Confederations Cup 2013 Overs was 4/5 if I remember right....That would have been easy, but seriously, if a loss of £400 is that much, play in tenners ...You are likely to have a heart attack, DONT BLAME ANYONE ELSE..Its your money, your choice. Last by no means least, Leave the MUG bets out, a 1 match shoot out in top football is so unpredictable...Ask all those mugs who lumped on Man City in the FA Cup final.:ok,,,Good Luck, and Choose well.

  17. Re: BBOTD Sunday 23rd June 1.40 uttox THE ROAD AHEAD...7/2 CORALS 365.........Peter Bowen, has been in great form, and killing the bookies in the last few weeks, he runs 3 today, and all have great chances, however the value of 7/2 for the mare sticks out, getting a valuable 7lb, the 6yo has been given time to develop, LTO easy winner of a bumper, and the form is standing up, The sire has a really good turnover for jump winners, and in my book should be FAV, the extra distance will bring further improvement, the ground is right...All points to getting on the Peter Bowen boat....Also the Owner Breeder likes to have horses running here...Good winner for me.:ok
