Re: BBOTD - Friday 31st May
A victim of your ........yes those bookies dont like winners..As for your selection mate,,GL, Im with Gabriel in the race, Faarah form does it for me, along with the RA form, another half furlong he would have went past gregorian, and this wont be run at a crawl, you will have to stay 9f in my book to win this today... But best of luck catch up later.245 Epsom - Producer - 4/1, £0.365 & Ladcrooks 4/4 @ the course and has the right jock up to last time the extra distance today. Battled well to beat subsequent Lockinge 2nd or 3rd - can't remember!! Sick to the back teeth of Bookmakers - accountless just before the Derby and Royal Ascot - AGAIN!!!! :@ -
Re: Antepost > Premier League 2013/14 > Winner
Well' date=' no need to sign Coleman as Rafael had a superb season and become a lot better. No chance of losing his spot.[/quote'] Not saying you aint got a great RB, but with so many games in a season, Having competition in that position must be a dream....After all Phil Jones is a world class centre half waiting to happen...Plus maybe im biased, Coleman is a better attacking fullback, his crossing and assists are better.... -
Re: Antepost > Premier League 2013/14 > Winner
If Van Persie stays fit' date=' United will win the league again next year. I think it is as simple as that really. He is a machine. You need a class striker to win a Premier League, Chelsea don't have one (yet). City the only dangers to United, in my opinion.[/quote'] I agree with the VP comment, and I do expect Moyes to play him in every league game if he is fit, and if he has a safe season, 30 plus in the league is on the cards, There is a whisper on Merseyside that he will make a move for Seamus Coleman....:sad, not a good day for EFC supporters if this happens, even worse if he bags baines on the other side. But to be fair, I would be happy for Seamus Coleman if he went to someone like Man UTD, he is by far away the best up and coming Right Back in GB and Ireland, the ultimate professional, dont talk much, stays out the spotlight, does all his talking on the pitch. Maybe if their is one part of his game that could improve,,,Attacks too much at times, but he is still learning at the top level. He is a credit to the professional game. -
Re: BBOTD - Friday 31st May 4pm OAKS Secret Gesture. 9/4 hills coral most firms bog I have been touting Secret Gesture for some time now, and we will find out tommorow. Everything is in her favor as far as i see, and she may even dictate what's going on up front as there is no obvious pace in the race, but i do think Jim Crowley will quicken it up coming down the hill to stretch them in behind, and choose were he wants to go in the straight. And the more i look the more i think she will be a cut above these fillies tomorrow, and if you look deep she has form lines with Just the Judge and Banoffee, and IMO she holds them well. GL whatever you pick, but a serious NAP for me.

Re: Antepost > Premier League 2013/14 > Winner When the handicap comes out, if LFC are in the region of 18-20 points on the scratch, that would be worth a look, I dont see them getting less than 70, However the books will more than likely have them at 12, which is a no bet. OF the lower teams I would take a serious look at Southampton if they were in the region of 40 on the scratch. I see Southampton breaking 53-54.

Re: 2013 Epsom Oaks The Ground tomorrow is Good to Soft Soft in places..after some heavy showers...The worst of the ground is all the way down the home straight, on the far side. Expect them to come to the centre or close to the stands side,,,,6.3 v 6.6 on the scale is a big difference. But obviousley the camber will drag most to the far side, My thoughts are if your horse dont act with give underfoot, and more to the point stay the distance, it may be in trouble.

Re: Royal Ascot 2013. EKTIHAAM or 115, thats surprising to me, I have him a few pounds more, but another that comes into the picture is Mount Athos, on 117, again bang on the rating for the Group 2, and Cumani has indicated that this is more likely the race he will go for.....However he is in the Gold Cup, and at 6/1. This should be avoided, as I dont see them going for this with the Mel Cup, as his main target, When prices come up next week, ill be looking to back these two for the Hardwicke.

Re: 2013 Epsom Oaks The first two furlongs will be very interesting, Moth and Secret Gesture drawn 1 and 2....Who gets shuffled back, who moves forward early, that early position could prove vital. LN drawn to the middle to outside, so should have a perfect position.
-
Re: 2013 Epsom Derby As the great Lester once said, every horse comes down the hill first time....Only a few jockeys cope with the hill first time in a Derby, you need the balance of an acrobat, and Derbys are won and lost in the first half mile. The draw is a nightmare for OCOVANGO, he will have to go like a 5 furlong sprinter in the first two furlongs, to get a position, and a pacemaker next door.

Re: 2013 Epsom Derby I would be seriousley worried about the Jockey on OCOVANGO...He could do more harm than good.

Re: Next Everton Manager
I think it is Martinez's to turn down now' date=' should be a done deal unless they cannot agree personal terms which is unlikely.[/quote'] You may be right, but that 2 million compensation maybe a hard bridge to get over, knowing how tight fisted this board are, It would not surprise me if they insisted Martinez pays it himself. -
Re: 2013 Epsom Derby But at leat PP were offering the only with a run, anyhow im not getting into an arguement over it, gl to you in the race.

Re: 2013 Epsom Derby
No problem:okNot arguing about passing on the news:ok -
Re: BBOTD - Thursday 30th May 7.15 Sandown Model Pupil 10/1 ladbrokes hills bog The 2 mile plus crown is wide open this year, and this lightly raced 4yo, may take his first step tonight to the crown. G3 class at 12 furlongs, shows he has the speed to cope at a decent level, but if he can settle, he maybe able to keep that speed for the end of a 2mile plus race. At 10/1 he is well worth the chance. A foot note to this is that if he is to win here tonight, the Ascot Gold cup will be his next step, and at 25/1 - 33/1 wont be available post race, so a small investment on this race would be advisable if you are backing Model Pupil tonight.

Re: 2013 Epsom Oaks Another 5mm of rain overnight, and some possible heavy showers today, A beautiful day tomorrow with temps up to 20 degrees. I would imagine the call of Good to Soft would be about right. Best prices for all as follows. 11 go to post, at the moment. Secret G 5/2 Moth 3/1 Libre N 7/2 Banoffee 8/1 Say 12/1 Talent 16/1 Madame Defarge 25/1 The Lark 33/1 Gertrude Versed 40/1 ROZ 50/1 Miss you 100/1

Re: 2013 Epsom Derby BH i totally respect what you say, but we do have to remember that there will be thousands of people out there who have lost thousands of pounds without getting a run. I did not see a comment last weekend after he was put in at 6/1...From the yard of "yes he is still in, but highley unlikely to run", And to top that the only bookmaker who was touting the with a run...was PADDY POWER, all others on Oddschecker had him in the list, mostly at the same price, even so which is an absolute disgrace, many of the patrons on here still had him in the list hours after the news... And lets give a big thumbs up to 888 sport who still have him in at 5/1. He is in all the exchange markets, but at ridiculous prices. So forgive me BH to alerting on this thread the Definate news, not Maybe news. And if that saved £10 going in the bookies pocket for their slow rolling, Im ok with that.

Re: 2013 Epsom Derby MAGICIAN OUT OF THE DERBY........................NO MENTION WHY!.....PUNTERS WHO BACKED HIM...FECKED....

Re: Flat Racing Wednesday 29th May

THE TIDDLY TADPOLE - 2pts ew @ 25-1 7th of 8 by 32 lengths eleven days ago at Thirsk in a 1m4f maiden. He has won three times over hurdles and placed once from three starts on the Flat. Re: 2013 Epsom Oaks OR 111 secret gesture. I am struggling finding any winner of the last 10 Oaks winners near or beating this rating. On Friday it looks like it will be Good ground with a bit of Good/Soft around the place. Beckett says "although she has won on Soft, she will be a far better filly on better ground", For me the Filly will take some stopping on Friday, and dont be surprised if she turned into a rout. I would say she should be 6/4 or even shorter, she would be if a top yard had her, the stable and jockey are in top form, and she is still 5/2 in some places....If your using a lucky pin, you'd better hope it lands on her, a 5 star nap selection for me standing out like a beacon, Distance will be second here, I have never ever been so confident about a classic.

Re: BBOTD Wednesday 28th May 3pm NOTTS INDEGO BLUES 6/1 STAN, BILLYS BOG You just feel everything will fall into place, 6f on the soft side and down in the OR. Usually comes to hand after a couple of runs, and a flat track is right up his street, reckon this yard will have a right go with him today. Win Bet for me.

Re: 2013 Epsom Derby Can't clarify this yet...maybe someone else can. Ladbrokes offering money back if Dawn Approach wins,,don't know how much for etc?

Re: BBOTD TUESDAY 28th MAY
8 mm of rain overnight. Turned to Good, thunderstorms may be knocking around, The Sneezer out to 14/1 on bog, still the dead 8, but don't expect 8 to go to post, 14/1 is a crazy price for this horse, Win for me.3.50 NEWTON ABB Pretty sure ground conditions will soften up overnight and this will be run at break neck speed,if all stand their ground, however I find this unlikely. One that will stays and likes underfoot soft ground is THE SNEEZER, Likes to be up with the pace, and will stay. Second run since coming here from Ireland, and this race could just fall right. 8/1 with 365 is big, expect about half this tomorrow, as I think there maybe a couple of NRs and I feel it will be backed. WIN BET FOR ME. -
Re: 2013 Epsom Derby LIBERTERIAN IMO would be the form angle, DA still wins easily, and BOM and Magician will be fighting out the places. Magician is a very good horse, however Two G1's in a week, and having to improve another 10lb IMO, highly unlikely.

Re: Walsh parts company with Nicholls I understand about the bag slinging....but turn the clock back 5 years, Ruby would have swallowed it, as the best business was at PN at the time, RW would never cut off his nose to spite his face, he just weighed up that there are bigger pay days in Ireland over the next 24 months, so he says to PN I don't give a hoot what you said at Aintree .....IM off ,,, I bet he encourages WM to come over with more horses to pillage all those races that PN would normally mop up, he will want to bring him down a peg or two, by taking big pay days off him.
