  1. Re: The Ashes

hope ur right primeevil!! lumped on big gl all:ok
Its a very dry pitch, England will look to make it big here,,,over 350 min....all day n one or two sessions tomorrow will do......And try to make Australia follow on.....They have strenghthend the bowling line up with Finn....Thing about this bet, you can go too deep....MAN FOR MAN England are better, yes Ausies will play a bit better than they have, but come late Friday n all day Saturday....Drunk n leary home crowd backing every ball that comes in.....Shane Watson will crumble under that pressure...
  2. Re: The Ashes OK....We know the weather is fine....for all the test at TB....We know it was swinging all over the place the other day.....We also know England batsmen have scored big on this track.........Australia will struggle from start to finish,,,,They wont be able to Bat England away...Im sorry they are rubbish after number 4....The wont be able to do anything in the bowling department.........................WHAT WE HAVE HERE IS SOMETHING YOU WONT EVER GET AGAIN IN THIS SERIES....1.92 BETFAIR...4/5-5/6 Most firms....Bank empty time boys n girls.....ENGLAND WIN THIS BY SATURDAY NIGHT....no problem........GET ON GET PAID.....In my very honest opinion...There is more chance of a TSUNAMI coming up the river trent, than England not winning this first test. The easiest (almost) double up you will ever ever see in your life. No need for the exotic bets, this will pay all day.:cow

  3. Re: Tour De France

He deserves to be this short. Like I say even with the injuries he should win this fairly comfortably. Only Froome should really be able to get anywhere near him
Far to short for me here, 2/1 against on the lay..He may win but im not on board at this 4/9(average) price.
  4. Re: Worst Tracks for short priced Favs...getting beat

For flat only I looked into the stats how favourites are doing on turf and AW tracks. Records shown below for the time of 1/09/2003 - today: rzra.jpg All Weather tracks: j1.jpg Source: Flatstats.co.uk Not backing favourites often myself, but overall I find it very hard to get a grip on tracks like Catterick, Pontefract and Beverly...
Thanks for that m8...I knew Yarmouth was up there...ESPECIALLY IN HANDICAPS..in these races it is a true graveyard, There is a meeting today, and a Meeting at my other bug WORCESTER..again in Handicaps.....Many Many people dip their toes in short priced FAVS, and the track bias for winning and getting beat, has to come into a persons calculations....That's good stuff you put up here.:D
  5. Re: BBOTD Tuesday 9th July

20:35 Southwell PULL THE PIN 5/2 B365 I originally thought Prince of Passion would have say in this race, winning here off 59 back in May and then only going down by a length off 60 at Nottingham on the turf. The mark of 64 seemed to catch this one out last time and I don't think running here off the same mark and drawn 1 is going to help. Big market mover though. Pull The Pin has the obvious course win, that coming a bit further back in April. He ran off 55 less the 3lb claimer then and runs off 61 less 7lbs tonight so 2lbs higher for 1.75length victory. Has been running in 5f sprints of late on firmer ground and staying on but not getting near the winners. In good heart though (in the frame last 4 races) and the return to 6f HAS to be a plus as well as the surface. I can't see anything other than Prince of Passion at the weights that will trouble this one tonight. Jockey's stats are woeful but the trainer's last two horses have gone out and won this week so hoping that it's just a steering job.

645 Utt: Sky Khan (11/10 Bet365) Sky Khan has promised so much but is yet to deliver and looks to have found his best opportunity yet and is given one more chance to show his true ability now he is with Philip Kirby. Ran well at both Ludlow and Huntingdon and then ran a weird race at Aintree to say the least when well backed. Last time in a handicap ran ok behind Coffee and this is much easier.

  7. Re: BBOTD Tuesday 9th July

Tue 9th Jul 2013 8.15 Uttoxeter (8 runners) A real messy race, this, but hard to see past BAY CENTRAL. The Evan Williams trained 9yo is the only C&D winner in the field and runs today off the same mark as his last win, and a decent 2nd LTO (both over C&D). It shouldn't take that much winning and if he reproduces that form, he may just not see another rival. BAY CENTRAL 1pt WIN @ 2/1 (BOG PP)
    well done nice SP
  8. Re: Tour De France Stage 10....Time Trial,,,,Why Tony Martin is so short, I just don't know......1/2 or shorter in most places...Ridiculous price, considering how wind direction, can have a massive bearing on the result, the tougher it gets, the less likely he wins, yes it more or less pretty flat, but at such a very short price ..im a layer of this guy

  9. Re: Tour De France

The reporter just asked him if he thought the crash was his fault' date=' hardly a question that shouldn't have been asked. From the interview I have seen Cav suggests that if he had of won the stage they would have demoted him.[/quote'] I know were your coming from m8...But maybe they should do what they do in footie etc, over 1/2 hour cooling off period to talk to people around them...Id be in a coma...if I tried to do it, so they would nt get an answer,,:rollin
  10. Re: BBOTD Tuesday 9th July

9.15 UTTOXETER VINNIE MY BOY 11/10 (PaddyPower #BOG) Missed 6/5 as I'm typing I still think 11/10 is worth taking it. Vinnie My Boy won by 20L just one week ago simply idling away from the pack after the second last jump and finished with ease almost on the bridle. 1f more will help to defy the 7lbs penalty (which seems very beatable anyway) and the horse looked like he has no stamina questions. The step up in class is the logical consequence of his recent form. Late form is superb and progressing (a 3rd, a 2nd behind an extraordinary Man Of Leisure and that win in Stratford) and Bowen horses are absolutely striking right now. Jamie Moore again in the saddle (12th time for him), visor applied for the second time straight as the debut was simply too good. The ground will be watered on lunchtime so it wouldn't be too firm and that's a major plus since the horse performs better on slightly slower surfaces.
I have already backed him myself, but this comment is ...maybe something we don't have to worry about..when he was 2nd it was 9.2...he won on 8.8....and tonight is around 8.5....On the going stick, so for me ground is not a problem. Lets hope he scoots up just like last time.:D
  11. Re: Tour De France

Seems to be 50/50 on people saying the crash was Cav's fault or not. Veelers is saying is saying it was Cav's fault. My view is it was a bit of both and the right decision has been made as Cav has not been relegated. As much as I like Cav I have to say the taking of the reporters recorder was pretty petty and out of order.
I don't mind that...Its high emotion, They work bloody hard, and don't get me wrong get paid well, but some reporters do get up their noses....asking some stupid questions, not sure it was that here, but it matters to them, he is a winner and it matters to him.....But I agree, 6 of 1 half dozen of the other, at 40k plus, the slightest touch or mistake can be fatal, I don't think anyone should be blamed here....Just move on.
  12. Re: BBOTD Tuesday 9th July

Pontefract 4.00 - Gifted Girl 3/1 Bet365 BOG I am a little surprised to see that this horse isnt favourite having run so well at Ascot to destroy the field by 5l and then running on from the back to get 2nd in a G3 at Espom despite not really handling the camber. Coming from off the pace isnt the easiest thing to do at Epsom so I think that run can even be rated a big higher IMO. She is clearly thriving at the moment and whilst Im not sure she even has to progress to win this, it is another bonus. I think the favourite has been running some solid times/RPR but she has possibly been a little flattered by some of those results, such as at Ascot where she was in the firing line throughout a steadily run race, and whilst I wouldnt discount something similar happening tomorrow, I think GG is simply a better horse and will hopefully go on to win a minor Group race by the end of the season.
Well done BB,,,but that 3/1 11/4 was gone by 8pm..still 9/4 in shops was good enough
  13. Re: BBOTD Tuesday 9th July

Would certainly have been interested in Gifted Girl @ last nights 3/1 but doesn't look as if that's going to be gettable now. I'd make this a match between GG and Ladies First and believe both are slightly overpriced due largely to Ultrasonic consistently being too short in the betting imho. Not to say she couldn't win - she must have ability at home to keep getting backed at the or towards the front of the market. Ladies First is generally consistent and has only failed to give her running the one time I backed her this season! Hopefully there won't be a repeat! Will be watching the market towards the off but for now I'll side with Fahey and PH. Ladies First - 11/4 - Fred & PP - 400 Ponte
9/2 win on rev fc,,,4/1 LF,,sp, but was steady at 1.7 - 1.75 on place mkt, hope you traded went to evens IR
  14. Re: BBOTD Tuesday 9th July 6.45pm UTTOX SKY KHAN..EVENS WILLIAM HILL....If he stands up he wins,,thats what your betting on, very tough day, It was a toss up which I put up on here, this or the one in the last, both Ive backed, but SKY KHAN, should really do it today, had a few excuses, Now with new yard, Cheeks on first time...Got a stone in hand..LOVES FAST ground...Easy win for me....:cow

  15. Re: The Ashes I was shopping around for some prices on horses today...and low and behold...WILLIAM HILL offering EVENS for ENGLAND TO WIN THE ASHES....£20 max per customer...So got a few faces to put some on...£140 total....easy trade at 2/5...Well done WH...offer is still there till 2pm I believe ...

  16. Re: The Ashes Both Sides had 5 hours at TB on Monday, Aus morning, Eng Afternoon, The whispers are the ball was swinging everywere on the strips made available on the square.....especially from Big Jim Anderson....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  17. Re: BBOTD > Monday 8th July 3.45 NEWTON ABB....SHERIFF HUTTON..15/2 WILLIAM HILL.....This race comes down to most at the head of the market, trying to create a life time best of their marks, and ALL have questions to answer....MARTIN HILL has his string in great form, and as showed at this track last time can get one to bolt in, sherriff hutton has only had one run for him,,,BUT WHAT A RUN...2nd over a 3mile hurdle at Worcester on rattling fast ground...to non other to ON THE LINE..who made an absolute mockery of his increased handicap mark next time out. SH is only running off a two pound higher mark here, over fences granted today, but that's his game,,,on the 21st April he won by a distance beating 8 other rivals in a very competitive Point to Point at Fakenham...then in may following that up in another Point in a canter. This lightly raced 10 yo...has won off a 4lb higher mark in the past,,,and that's the key...He has done it before, in great form, on the ground he loves, and win a very very in form trainer....NAP FOR ME..
