Re: BBOTD > Tuesday 18th June ANIMAL KINGDOM 2:30 ASCOT WIN @EVENS HILLS PADDY POWER SPORTING BET. What we have here is an absolute world superstar. Take the evens, will be around 4/6, once the world punters get involved. AK has had a new investor since his last run, Sheik Mohammed has brought him here to win a top mile race in Europe before retirement, every box will be ticked, and with a few front runners in here which includes elusive kate, his TREMENDOUS turn of foot will be there for all to see. Expect them to come down the middle as per usual, so he should have not trouble in running from his position. Also we know 9f is probably his best distance so when others have cried enough, he will be running straight to the line. Not many times we get evens for something nailed on IMO. GL

Re: BBOTD > Monday 17th June A leap of faith...4.45 carlisle...Mark J and Joe F....Will it be trying? Tuzzie Muzzie 5/1 Ladbrokes Without doubt, he will appreciate the step down in trip and the stiff track. They will also surely go off at a rate of knots, with the fav and 3rd in being make all merchants, this should enable Joe to settle the selection. Acouple of placed efforts to start the season he should be cherry ripe, I do 100% think the horse is good enough....However. GL

Re: BBOTD > Monday 17th June
Here's your m8!,,,:lol750 Warwick - La Arenosa - 9/1 - SJ, £3.65 If we knew that Shirocco Star was going to give her best running, then on all known form she should be around 4/6 but given her last run, (and like Mince a couple of weeks back in a similar standard race) I'd say 5/2 was nearer the mark. Given that I can't have her on my mind at a shade of odds against. Maybe connections are sick of finishing second and she's cherry ripe today. Fallon is booked and he has a 30 odd % strike rate for the stable but that wouldn't pay the bills on 11/10 shots either. There's not alot for her at Royal Ascot to be fair but if she was as good as she was, wouldn't she be tilting at windmills in the Hardwicke? Don't really know what to oppose her with mind you! Gallipot needs to improve for her reappearence and probably will but I'll chance that SDS has got it wrong and Harry Bentley can continue his good record for the stable on a formally consistent animal who's trainer has been listed as 'unknown' fairly recently. Hopefully she's been hanging out away from the pie shop. Complete guess and could easily finish last. Really is more based on wanting to be away from the top 2 but lays aren't gonna pay enough considering my hapless and hopeless record in BBOTD this year! -
Re: BBOTD Sunday 16th June 2.45 Chantilly...Group 1 PRIX DE DIANE 1mile 2 1/2 furlongs. ESOTERIQUE 5/2 hills 365 skybet PP, most places. Better ground and the longer distance, should see the selection show she is the best middle distance filly in europe today. She will have to be on her game tho to reverse the tables on Flotilla and the improving Sillasol. However for me the daughter of Danehill Dancer Will be up to the mark today. Last time Flotilla came with a well timed run, getting there on the line, MG today will have her ready to stretch them from about 2 out, and not get done on the line. She is for me the best filly in europe, and who knows, she may go for the arc after this, or maybe given the connections off to the USA for the BC. She should be backed today IMO. GL

Re: BBOTD - Saturday 15th June
well done,,,we could have had fc between us,,,i had spin again,,i give up on that horse, more hard luck stories, than a greek!20.25 Lingfield Shared Moment 1PT Win 5/1 PaddyPower The top 2 in the betting market, Spin Again and Shared Moment battled over this C&D 8 days ago with Shared Moment finishing first past the post and Spin Again finishing back in 3rd. Spin Again is likely to go off favourite here with Shared Moment going up 2lb in the weights, however I don't think that will stop the horse running another big race again. Shared Moment battled well in the final furlong to keep on top of Spin Again and also keep the fast finishing West Leake at bay. Prior to that race his all weather form looks solid, including 3 more wins over C&D. -
Re: BBOTD - Saturday 15th June
Thank you...I had a few bob at SP..well done19.35 Leicester: Tatlisu @ 12/1 Bet365 Thought Tatlisu ran a much better race than the bare form suggest lto at Ripon. He was unsettled throughout the race but looked to mount a big challenge approaching the 2f marker. He was then short of room there, tried to quicken again but was stopped abruptly again. I think he would have gone pretty close with a clear run. He's down to a very low mark now and could be better than this. A 5lb claimer on board is interesting too, and it wouldn't be a surprise it Tatlisu would make use of his low weight. -
Re: BBOTD - Saturday 15th June

Re: Flat Racing - Saturday 15th June Should not be doing this....But SPIN AGAIN will never have a better opportunity tonight. Down in grade, and the mile for this strong finisher should be played out tonight. Cheekpieces on for the first time..and has Jim Crowley on top, much stronger than most that have been on top. A year since the last visit to the number 1 position, tonight could and really should be the night. Around 5/1-9/2 with a few books....GL

Re: BBOTD - Saturday 15th June 2.55 Sandown MORAWIJ 2/1 William Hill SMOOTHTALKINRASCAL NOW A NON RUNNER..RULE 4,,TO PRIOR PRICES. Not sure how much rain Sandown got or is likely to get, but his draw alone is giving a huge advantage. When you look, a listed race with 1 Group class horse in the make up, he should take this very easily with the defection of the 2nd fav. Without a doubt the best bet of the day.

Re: Daily Racing Chat Thread
Has anyone purchased the RP Weekender Royal Ascot guide? If so' date=' any good and worth purchasing? Not sure if it's worth buying (I know it's only £2.99, but the RP costs enough as it is!).[/quote'] I found it very poor last year, re cycled information in the daily edition. 1 or two columns ok, but im leaving it out.:ok -
Re: Daily Racing Chat Thread
As far as i know he still has not paid a penny towards buying it, maybe looking to get it even cheaper by running it down,,,I agree we must have the lousey(ist) pool system in the world. Now if he could link those wretched FOBT's in with the pool, im sure he would do it.A couple of years or so on from Fred's takeover and the Tote is still seeming not getting the push it needs. I guess from the lack of posts on the Tote that many of the regular members on here don't give it a second look. I know a few courses have started their own pool system but the majority of courses still operate the Tote. Not sure why it's in decline. Does he want to kill it off? Attracting the overseas market can be lucrative as many countries only operate a Tote system . The lack of liquidity sometimes result in freakish results : Wednesday Beverly 4.00 7 runners Winner...Copperwood 12/1 sp Tote win 5.7 (9/2 approx) Tote place 9.00 (8/1 !!! ) Would be interesting if they'd publish pool size information like some of their other exotic pools. As some of you know I like the Tote Trifecta when it swells up. However on average days the Trifecta can sometimes get only a little over £100 from the entire country !! Sort it out Fred!!! -

Re: BBOTD - Friday 14th June 6:30 Aintree. BESCOTT SPRINGS 5/1 365 HILLS PP BETFRED. BOG I will be looking to get some Royal Ascot money out of this horse tonight. Bescott springs, has been given a real chance tonight by the handicapper, down 9lb since his last chase effort in the winter. He was given a couple of hurdle races in the spring, but this his is game. Ideal distance, and a flat track. But the biggest bonus is that it has been raining at Aintree for the last 2 hours, and is set to continue for most of the afternoon. Come race time it wont be good ground, good/soft at best, more like soft all over. Lucinda Russell uses the jockey sparingly and takes the valuable 8lb off, with being attached to the yard. The yard is also in great form, and gets a 5 star nap from me. Would not be surprised if he is not fav come the off.

Re: Erhaab's Quiz Questions
Think it was Capt Ryan Price' date=' only know cos Josh Gifford took over his yard at Findon and it was talked about when Aldaniti won the National all those years ago.[/quote'] correct he won the champion hurdle n oaks.:ok... -
Re: Erhaab's Quiz Questions
Yes 3 are correct. The 4th was still training in the 80'sThink I have 3, Istabraaq's trainer, his predecessor and the guy who trained Kribensis . Not that I consider myself old, I think the other 4th person must be pre 1980s, to which I wouldn't have a clue. -
Re: BBOTD Thursday 13th June 8.10 UTTOX Putting one up ive backed e/way. Cruise Control 50/1 Betfred Coral BOG Fav is all over the race, but take him out and cruise control would have a very decent chance for me, under prevailing conditions. Slow slow down the hacp...Could be passing a few at the end. e/w for this column. Ive had a rev fc with fav also. GL all
