  1. Re: BBOTD > Sunday 14th July 3.35 FAIRYHOUSE....NOCTURNAL AFFAIR...9/1 365.....Now you may think the 7yo, is out of this, But for me he is still in cracking form, and should not be discounted, on GF ground today, blinkers first time, really is overpriced, and stays 7f, Has won over 5...They will go fast here today, I expect him to be very strong at the end.

  2. Re: Ashes - In play/Discussion thread For all those not in the UK....The 2nd Test at Lords, this Thursday 18th July....According to all weather Forecast ...In London for the whole 5 days, will be very little to nothing in the way of rain, or bad light. So we can expect in the most part, 5 full days. Obviously take that into account in your wagers for that test.:ok

  3. Re: Daily Racing Chat Thread That's it tho...More people in the course, more exposure on TV, More Money....Alas the schedule is not there for the DAY in DAY out punter...and the courses could not give a hoot, when York Chester n Newmarket is rammed....The majority of keen racegoers would not go on a Friday night or a Saturday in the summer...For fear of a pint being tipped over their head for a laugh!...Sad but true.

  4. Re: Ashes - In play/Discussion thread I love this series...There are so many swings n turns, But stats on wickets in the most stand up, and that is at every level of the game, If you play club cricket, your pitch will usually favour 1 or the other. The game is not over yet lads, But that draw should be 10,000/1 for the 1st test...And also bear in mind that if AUS are 9 down at 1pm today, England will have another 30 mins before Lunch is taken to bowl the last wicket......The new ball will also be available to England just before Lunch...That's the time Australia may go for it if they only have 6 still down, However England know that so they may continue with the softer ball....I would!

  5. Re: The Ashes

Your hijacking and running commentary on this thread primevil certainly puts me off this forum. Thanks you will probably save me a lot of time.
sorry....Im confused, the majority if not all, of MY posts, have been at a break in play, Lunch tea close of play....OTT saying its a running commentary,,,Dont think im out of order here, Maybe a MOD can adjudicate ?
  6. Re: Saturday 3 x Doubles and 1 x Treble Thread

3 x £5 doubles....1 x £10 treble....On the following........The Dark Wizard...6.55 Salisbury.... ....off 70 on turf' date= 6f should be right on at the stiff Salisbury. Bumped into a progressive one LTO, and won since. Im very happy to put this 1 in first................................................................................2nd selection.....BOLD SNIPER 4.15 ASCOT.......Ran a remarkable race at Royal Ascot last time to finish 3rd, and should have the measure of todays opposition, Stoute has found a decent hcap to win here, before moving into Listed company..........................The 3rd Selection, is the most confident......WASHAAR...2.40 Newmarket...A horse that in my opinion, will be going places over middle distances, however today, over a mile should be right up his street, very impressive on his debut, and notable a G2 is expected on his 2nd run. Stable in form, jockey in form. Good for me.........................................Now prices obviously, we have to go with 1 firm, so im..Going for 365.....11/4.......2/1.........and 4/1........You may find better prices but these are bog....Not much lay out ...if all 3 win, a decent return...GL
    In WASHAAR race...Original FAV outstrip....now a non runner....25p deduction...so 3/1...Washaar is now.

  8. Ok, as we have the best meetings in the most on a Saturday, Im going to start this thread...You can make it what you like, £1 doubles, £2 treble....or £10 and £20.....................However im doing it to £5 and £10...and money and prices will be worked out on this. Im going to really try and get this profitable....so here goes....1ST selections up soon.:ok

  9. Re: Daily Racing Chat Thread Just one point from todays big race, that none of the RUK or CH4 picked on, which I thought was valid....Elusive Kate has most in her life drifted to the left when under pressure...In a 4 horse race, does anyone else think...Hughes should have been better positioned .?.given he done his homework!

  10. Re: The Ashes

i guess i'll just let the bet ride on england no need to hedge...hope for a even better day for england tomo :ok:ok:ok
Good choice....Youll get people saying defo draw etc...if England get 340 plus...None of it m8....England have the best..and I mean the best bowling attack in the last innings of a test...BAR NONE....and 4-5 sessions to go at it...With a rampant Saturday afternoon crowd behind them...One things for sure, it wont be played in silence,,Only Clarke will be able to cope with any pressure for me, The rest will fold like a pack of cards, they have history for it when the crowds against them.:D
  11. Re: The Ashes Possibly mate,,,,, But I reckon This is all over, bar the shouting...261-6...Reckon they will post min 300....That would have to be a record on this pitch for a 4th inns for a win,,,,..The average score is 149...and there is a lot of data in that. To say this wicket is a beast for bowlers on the 4th n 5th day...is a understatement. England will declare at Tea tomorrow if they get there..and then your looking at around 400, In reality, Once these two get over a 100 and 50 respectively, they will go for it in the morning session...300 as a first target..then swing away, because they know even with broad not at 100%...Swan will get this turning at right angles..The pitch was intentially drained of water all spring, to get it as much as an Indian wicket as possible..as dry as a bone...You seen today, there is no bounce/life in it....Australians don't/cant play on dry wickets....The only team I recall to bat out a draw(without the weather help) on this wicket was India...IN there prime....and England almost had them...they spent 8 hrs at the wicket, for 8 wickets down...England win for me.:D

  12. Re: Daily Racing Chat Thread My twopence...Without a doubt if Sky Lantern is on his inside at the 2 marker,,,He wins the race for me,,,SL stops EK going even further left, thus losing more ground, for me SL would have won by 3/4, min...In any other country in the world,,,Amended result, and lets not forget the intimidation ....But these are English stewards, the inconsistancys...are mind blowing......If it was a 2k race around wolves on a Friday night, you bet it would have been changed....But with most bookies doing FPP and amended,,,it would have cost them fortunes...Gets you thinking who the stewards are batting for!
