I'm not a great fan of backing horses with penalties but Cougar Kid was quite impressive at Hereford last time out beating Schnabel by 7 lengths. The form has been confirmed and a 7lb penalty shouldnt stop the 6yo from following ip in this sort of company. Jockey Brodie Hampson always rides the gelding so thats another plus.

Struggling to find anything for Monday so a tentative vote goes to Jester Jet who looks to be progressing nicely and should improve from her Ascot second by stepping back up in trip. That Ascot race looks pretty solid as I now they fancied the 3rd and the 4th was backed into favourite. I totally respect Culture De Sivola who looked pretty impressive at Chepstow last time but she has had her problems so i'm going to take her on here.

I quite like the look of the favourite in the last race at Carlisle on Sunday, Forest Des Aigles did nothing after he came over from France and obviously took time to settle in. Back in May he showed his first signs of form when 3rd at Kelso and then returned there to win in heavy ground off 109. A decent third at Ayr followed and showed the benefit of another break when winning at Hexham on his seasonal debut.
Now returns after two months off and looks to be still improving to me, he's only six and looks a progressive sort and thsi race wont take much winning.

Dinons was 2nd over CD back in April and Gordon Elliott has dropped a few hints this French import will have a future, the Mullins runner will be of obvious interest but Jockey Jamie Codd showing up for this sole ride is indication the 4yr old is ready to promote just how bright his future could be, also Owned by a shrewd Owner who has a keen eye for a good Un.

Not much to fancy on Sunday to be honest and the Nap goes to the Tizzard runner in the last at Exeter with the eye catching jockey booking of Mitchell Bastyan in this Conditional Jockey's race.
Padleyourowncanoe ran well last time out at Warwick behind We Have A Dream and now goes handicapping off a very nice mark of 110, i'm guessing he wont be on that for long?

Minimum stakes for this boy, but have to give him a chance here. He showed potential winning his second run, and then was gelded. Returned after 9 month and was in need of the race. Again did not run well on his last run, but that was at Windsor and he his thought to want a more galloping track. He gets that here tonight and also a change of trainer who is in good form that has a 14% strike here increased to 18% with 3yr olds.
