Yeah, and also Krajinovic!
Magda Linette to bat Diana Shnaider at 1.80 with Bet365
It's a bit surprising that Linette is back to playing already, which is why I'm taking this with a bookie that voids retirements, but I haven't liked Shnaider for a while now, and she's just too inconsistent from the back of the baseline. The Hua Hin conditions were a bit tricky over the weekend as well, and that can help only Linette.

J.Sinner/D.Medvedev - Over 3.5 sets at 1.63 with Pinnacle
I don't really see much happening in the women's final, but I am going to go for the "obvious" bet in the men's showdown. I get that Sinner is the favorite, but it's very difficult for me to see him winning 3-0, and the reverse result is even more improbable. Both have shown a lot of fight in Melbourne, and I reckon the pressure will manifest itself once one of them comes within the reach of winning the trophy. Let's hope for a good one!

Back Will Novak Djokovic win the Australian Open? - No at 1.82 with Pinnacle
I'm going to go against most of the forum here, but I'm just not that convinced by Novak. He struggled big time ahead of the Australian Open, and, before that Mannarino beatdown, he had some issues as well. It's going to get tougher from now on, and there are some solid candidates in Sinner, Alcaraz, and co. I'd be surprised, but not shocked, to see him lose against Fritz in the very next round.

Oceane Dodin (+5.5) to beat Qinwen Zheng at 1.75 with Unibet
Dodin has somehow found an incredible form at the start of this season, and I didn't like how labored Zheng's win was in the previous round. With Swiatek out, there will also be some additional pressure on her, and she tended to be shaky in such circumstances before.

A.Rublev/A. De Minaur - Over 3.5 sets at 1.47 with Unibet
Time to dabble in the ATP! Both Rublev and De Minaur are having excellent starts to the season, and we should be in for a really good match here. 1.47 isn't much, but I was expecting 1.33 if I'm to be honest.

Alycia Parks (+6.5) to beat Cori Gauff at 1.79 with Unibet
Parks was hitting a mean enough ball against Fernandez, and she seems to have improved her attitude big time in the off-season. She won't beat Gauff here, but I'd say that the +6.5 line should provide a sufficient head start more often that not.

Every single favourite struggling today it seems - except Ostapenko 😕🤪

Ajla Tomljanovic (+6) to beat Jelena Ostapenko at 1.51 with Pinnacle
I'm a bit low on confidence right now, but I like this alternative line. Tomljanovic has always covered this line against Ostapenko, and the Australian will have the full house on her side in this meeting as well. She's been in a fine enough nick so far in 2024 and, while I don't think it will be enough to get a win against Ostapenko, I don't really see a blowout here.

I very much agree with Cocciaretto there @Smiles Tennis, I just hope the Putintseva debacle didn't leave a scar on her haha!

Daria Saville to beat Magdalena Frech at 1.80 with William Hill
I fully agree with what has been posted here already, Saville always gets a lot of support in Australia and she's been playing rather well lately.

@four-leafConsider yourself warned.

We have an early start for this year's Australian Open!
Leolia Jeanjean (+1.5 sets) to beat Caroline Dolehide at 1.93 with Pinnacle
Jeanjean has qualified for the main draw while beating two very decent players in Rodionova and Lys, and she also beat Dolehide when the two met back in 2022. That was on clay, and there's no doubt that Dolehide is the favorite here, but I very much like the odds for Jeanjean getting a set at least. I think that she's a very live underdog under the circumstances.

Irina Bara (+5.5) to beat Eva Lys at 1.81 with Pinnacle
I had a chance to watch Eva Lys in the previous round, and I wasn't particularly impressed. Her serve was very attackable and Erjavec made it quite easy for her. I still think she's the favourite against Bara and that she'll probably come through, but the +5.5 line looks a touch big to me.

Natalija Stevanovic to beat Maya Joint at 2.02 with Unibet
Maya Joint put in a couple of very good performances in Canberra, where she upset Errani and Seidel before losing to Tauson. That's impressive, but I don't think we should start putting her as the favourite against players like Stevanovic just yet. Most importantly, Stevanovic has this very annoying playing style that's all about slices and low-bouncing shots, which is something that inexperienced players often struggle to deal with. At odds against, I'm happy to back Stevanovic here.

Nuria Parrizas-Diaz (-1.5 sets) to beat Madison Inglis at 1.77 with Unibet
NPD is coming into the AO qualifiers in a stunning form, having won the Challenger in Canberra while beating players like Dart, Tauson, and Rakhimova. Inglis, on the other hand, started the season with a loss against Starodubtseva. Hopefully this won't be too hard.

Staying away from tomorrow, let's hope for better fortunes next week!

Elina Svitolina (-1.5 sets) to beat Xiyu Wang at 1.87 with Unibet
Svitolina looked imperious against Bouzkova yesterday, and this shouldn't be much tougher honestly, especially if Xiyu Wang plays like she did against Parry. You can go for the outright if you're less risk-inclined, but the odds are much worse unfortunately.
Edit: Jeez, yet another injury.

Emil Ruusuvuori to beat Pavel Kotov at 1.62 with Bet365
Kotov's win over Musetti said more about the Italian I feel, while Ruusuvuori had a much tougher day against Khachanov. Despite that, he made it through against the Russian, and this should be a step down in terms of quality. The 2-0 H2H record should help as well.

Anastasia Potapova to beat Elisabetta Cocciaretto at 1.57 with Bet365
Potapova, the defending champion, seemed to lack a bit of match practice against Errani, but the quality of her play was still above what Cocciaretto showed against Stefanini. The conditions give her a natural advantage in this match-up, and I fancy her to convert it to a win.
