Good luck with the PP BH !
The two runner novice chase at Ayr (1.40) looks interesting
The odds on favourite is making her chase debut and is up against a gelding for the first time in her career after 15 runs in Mares Only company
She looks a right stayer and is dropping to 15 and a half furlongs today
She looks best going RH and is going LH today.
She's had one run here over hurdles. That was over 21 furlongs where she got outpaced in the finish. I really can't see her being suited by the minimum trip
Her only rival, Captain Cox, is a two miler who has won here over hurdles. He's a bit of an iffy jumper to be fair but these are not stiff fences
I think it could be worth taking on the hotpot........there's only 2 runners and Captain Cox is currently 7/4 against an 8/15 favourite

Brilliant again from BH, the Placepot King
have to wait for the payout to be declared but I reckon it's 4 winning lines ?
well done !.........

4.25 Ex - Milansbar - win at 5/2 bog bet365
Novices handicap chase over 3 miles
My selection is an out and out stayer having won over further than this over hurdles. The stiff track and soft ground should make this a test of stamina and my fellow shouldn't be found wanting !
I also think the handicapper might have let him in lightly in his first handicap chase with a rating 4lbs less than his last winning mark over hurdles, which was less than a year ago
Ran pretty well last time in a small field at Newbury to finished 2nd to Out Sam who looks useful (and also well handicapped now)

They should bring in handicap chase sprints
Five furlongs, four fences, 20 runner fields..........sponsored by bookies to ensure 5 non runners
Lady jockeys only..........err, in bikinis
Whips with flashing lights
Races 15 minutes apart with cartoons between times
That should get the soccer crowd watching.........

Yeah, I watched it.........but it wasn't that good
Bob Cooper seems to suck the life out of the Forum whenever he does it and Gaye Kellaway wouldn't shut up !

Plumpton 2.00 - Aramadyh - ew at 50/1 bog PP
Mares novice hurdle
Looks a very poor race with an odds on favourite who has shown inconsistent form and is giving a stone and more to all the other runners.
My selection is an outsider but has shown glimpses of form such as a win and place on the flat......was rated 70
Ran in her first hurdle here a couple of weeks ago after 18 months off the track and was running 4th until three out when she faded and was pulled up. I'm banking on her coming on a bit from that run and this being a much easier race.

2.10 Exe - Bound Hill - EW at 50/1 bog wm hill
Novice hurdle, heavy ground, 18.5 furlongs
Only 3 appear to be fancied here so it might be worth taking an EW chance on one of the outsiders
My selection ran OK on hurdles debut last time. Although well beaten he stuck to his task and ran on at the finish. The trip that day looked a bit sharp for him and he should be suited by this stamina test, a testing track, a couple of extra furlongs, heavier ground
Of the 3 fancied ones.....
Brelan D'as makes his British debut and carries a penalty for winning a race in France about 4 months ago. He looks pretty good but Nicholls runners can need a run after a break and we don't know how he's settled in, if he'll act on heavy ground
Rolling Dylan was just beaten on the nod last time so is almost a winner without a penalty. But he was hard driven on heavy ground and that could have taken a toll on him. Had 4 weeks to recover
Overturn Express was going Ok when he fell 2 out in a race won by Yanworth, the hottest novice hurdler in the UK. However he was begiining to tire when he fell so I'm not sure this stiffer test of stamina will suit, though he could be the class horse in the field
I'm hoping 2 or 3 of them flop leaving places for my horse to run in to !

well done Jimmy........blimey, that was some drift to 40/1
You must have been the only person in the world who fancied it !

1.45 Ch - The Happy Hammer - win at 11/1 bog betvictor
7f class 6 handicap
My selection is a veteran but still capable of decent form at this level.
7/8F on polytrack is his ideal condition.........and he's won at this track
Was a bit unlucky last time out when stumbling after colliding with the rail but still managed to finish 3rd in a class 5
probably not that well handicapped after going up for his last win which was by a nose so hopes on the 'weights and measures front' hang on the 7lb claimer.

12.40 Sou - Fujin - win at 13/8 bog bet365
6f handicap
pretty poor level handicap and looks to be between the two fairly recent CD winners. Fujin and Fortinbrass
the two met on the same terms in December and my selection won fairly convincingly. The Post suggests that Fortin brass might turn the tables today but I'm not so sure !
Fortinbrass had been tumbling down the weights by 28lbs since his previous handicap win before winning 2 runs ago but has now gone back up 6lbs and that isn't a profile I like.
My selection has had fewer outings and is still going up the ratings. Was only beaten a quarter length off todays mark last time having just been headed on the line after attempting to make all. I think this track today suits front runners better so I'm hopeful he'll make all and keep on to the line

So good luck !........

I don't suppose the coverage will be a lot different.........after all, how many ways can you cover a horse race ?
The main interest could be in looking who they are going to poach from ATR and RUK.......

Lizzie Kelly becomes the first woman rider to sore a grade one win in the UK.......
But don't be tempted by RSA quotes.........that horse is useless going left handed
So far it's run 14 times under rules.......8 times RH, 6 times LH
right-hand tracks - 11111211
left-hand tracks - 2, 2, 3, PU, 6, 7

Trotter got a reaction from arsenalfh in Racing Chat Thread
I thought it was a terrible decision although I knew it was the one they would make
Special Tiara was very hard done by.........if I'd had money on him I'd be incredibly pee'd off
That bump surely cost him more than a length but it was the momentum.......he was the one who was going strongest and was catching 'SdG'...........to my mind it was a certainty that he would have gone past and won the race without the interference
-
Trotter got a reaction from DanV89 in Timmy Murphy Ban
Yes, saw it on RUK last night............the boys in the studio discussed it a bit after the ban was announced
To be honest I couldn't really see anything different to what you see a hundred times
But then I must admit that I can't spot 'non triers' as a rule..........just as all horses look the same so do all rides look the same unless it's something blatant and pointed out to me in slow motion
So in my ignorance of not able to discern what he'd done wrong 14 days seems very steep to me.
-
Trotter got a reaction from arsenalfh in Racing Calendar
I know it's dumb
Similarly either last week or the week before we had two consecutive days where ATR had 3 meetings then 4 meetings and RUK had no meetings at all for 2 days
Surely it wouldn't be impossible to jiggle the midweek fixtures so that both channels had at least one meeting a day
