    Sticking with my All Aged Handicap system for the time being 

    Brief precis

    - draw a line through horses two years and more older than youngest horse in race
    - draw a line through any horse that hasn't won over trip
    - where relevant draw a line through badly drawn horses

    whatever you're left with choose two based on trainier, current form , the usual stuff. 

    Makes life easy if you're only left with one, if there's too many left (as per Royal Ascot handicaps) move on to the next race

    One tweak as from today ..... I'm no longer going to suggest EW, everything is Win Only

    I've been doing this for about a week with good results ....... plenty of winners including two at 20/1. From today I think I'll do a proper paper trial with a 1 point stake on all selections and keep a record ........ no doubt this is where it goes tits up ! ... ?

    I'm skipping Ascot for my all aged handicaps .......had a look at the first race and there's far too many qualifiers, 

    Still, lots of races at the other meetings....

    Don't know much about the runners in the Irish 1000 gns because we haven't had the usual trials

    Seen a few clips this week in previews and Albigna looks like a bit of a monster ..... when she wins she scythes through the field like the proverbial hot knife through butter but she has been beaten a couple of times

    Once was by Love who won the Newmarket 1000 gns and the other time was in the US at the Breeders Cup which I guess is fair enough with the travelling etc

    Slight worry is that when she was beaten by Love the jockey reported that she had shied away as the winner went passed her and eventually finished 6th.......presumably this is why they usually ride near the back and run through horses rather than being at the front and shying away if challenged. Potentially makes her a tricky ride and might need luck in running

    She might have to do a Siskin !
