Ugh Van Den Bergh really bottled a few legs at the end there and Wade done what Wade does. The big final then. I already have De Sousa as an outright pick and so for me it's a no bet tonight. I think Wade wins it but I'm sticking by my guy. Come on De Sousa!

    Grand Slam bets -1pts
    Darts 2020 - +59.50pts

De Sousa is a fantastic player. Why is he considered the underdog in tonight's final? Don't have much experience in darts so I'd appreciate it if you could give me some information about their games, their past or their current level of play etc @Fader

  2. O'Sullivan remains the most prolific break-builder in the world. On the other hand, Trump is probably the better safety player between the two. Of course he doesn't lack attacking skills; he's probably the second best break-builder in the world after Ronnie. I know it may sound odd, but Ronnie has kind of improved his mental fortitude lately. He defeated Selby 17-16 when he was 14-16 down in the World Championship semi. He also defeated Ding & Carter when he faced a two-frame deficit on both occasions... I see a trend, he's mentally tougher than he used to be. I think he will lift the Alex Higgins trophy ? tonight.

  3. Djokovic to beat Nadal & Both Players to win a set & Nadal to win a Tie Break in any set at 6.00 - local betting company called Stoiximan (??).

My gut says Djokovic will lift his second Coupe des Mousquetaires in Paris today. Obviously it's extremely hard to do so without dropping a set against the king of clay. I also fancy the chance of Nadal winning at least one tie break in the match, provided that they reach one during the match of course. I'm pretty sure Djokovic has a worse TB record than the Spaniard. In general I believe that Nadal and Federer have always been very elite at tie breaks throughout their careers so far and that's one more element of their greatness. Anyway I know I made a weird suggestion lol.

    Good luck folks ?

Ruud to win at least one set @1.8 with bet365

Don't think reasoning is needed on this one. Ruud is such a good player on clay courts these days. It's hard to imagine Thiem prevailing in straight sets today. I wouldn't be surprised if the Norwegian pulls an upset as well.

Lol just saw the scoreline... What happened? So disappointing from Ruud.

I watched Rus-Vondrousova match and I think next round Vondrousova is going to get eliminated. The quality of the match was terrible.  Rus just lost by herself  Vondrousova just hit the ball back to court until Rus hits it to the other court basically with moon balls and very bad drop shots.

Next round she'll play either Bertens or Hercog I hope Hercog wins and we'll get better odds.

Rus didn't lose by herself. You just can't observe how good Vondrousova is, there's no other explanation.

    Musetti - Nishikori

I don't buy the odds offered by bookers. 1.79 for Musetti against 2.02 for Nishikori....

Yes, the guy won against Mayer (didn't watch the game) and Wawrinka (who either felt bad or was not interested in that game. Other than that he played agains average players in the last months (lost some games against average players as well... Altmaier, Alcaraz).

On the other side we have Nishikori, who did not play for a long time. Lost his first clay game against Kecmanovic (winning 1 set) and than won against Ramos in Rome.

I think that Nishikori has a good trend, having a first win on clay, and has much more experience. My guess is that tomorrow the odds will inverse.

    2.02 Unibet on Nishikori.

Completely agree with vvavaru. I mean, no matter how talented Musetti might be, he's still an 18 year old kid. He's facing a very experienced opponent who looked pretty clutch on his first match against Ramos. The straight set victory against Wawrinka has made the bookmakers think that the young Italian should be considered the favorite tomorrow. Don't think that's the case here.

Marketa Vondrousova(#19) to beat Arantxa Rus(#71) at 1.75 with bet365

I happen to believe that the young Czech is one of the best players on clay courts these days. I like the fact that she almost never feels intimidated by whoever she's facing...In general, I consider her a very smart tennis player. Rus on the other hand has surely improved her game a lot, but she's kind of a one-dimensional player. Vondrousova should be able to control the rallies of the game and get the valuable win.

  7. Elise Mertens to beat Sofia Kenin at 2.10 with bet365

I think Mertens should be considered the favorite on this match, not Kenin. I know Kenin has won a slam but I feel that her level of play has declined a little bit these days; her tennis is not as inspiring as it was in Melbourne. Mertens might be able to beat her quite comfortably I believe. I like her groundstrokes more, and I feel she's ready to take the initiative to surprise her opponent.

Karolina Muchova (+4.5 games) to beat Victoria Azarenka at 1.83 with bet365

Both players have impressed me so far in this USO. I find the handicap of 4.5 games adequate on this encounter. Let's see what happens.

Tsvetana Pironkova to beat Alize Cornet at 2.01 with Pinnacle

I'll continue with this for obvious reasons. Like @matrixman, I'd have liked the price on her to beat Keys more, but this is also good at above evens. I think that Pironkova is actually a slight favorite here, as Cornet didn't impress in any of her matches so far, perhaps apart from the Keys meeting. She can also go mad at times, while Pironkova seems to be almost zen at the moment ?.

Thanks an awful lot CzechPunter. ✌️?
