Cedrik Marcel Stebe (-3.5) to beat Viktor Troicki || 2.10 @ OLYBET
The AO already started,  and we all love the Gs tournaments,  there is plenty to choose from.  Of course the covid thing puts us all in questionable situation,  because we not see much of tennis lately,  and right now is better to stay away from betting.
My bet here based mostly against Troicki,  than on Marcel, because he hasn't played much in the past year. And more likely to go further in doubles than singles. So we have german on the other side, who won one tournament by the end of 2020. Both met before once, back in 2012 and marcel won it. Expect close sets but i rather pick here german, i guess he is more fit for AO than the serb.

Fernando Verdasco to beat Carlos Taberner || 1.44 @ OLYBET
Well, this is my first bet after not that succesfull AO, but i will comtinue a hard work, like i always do. It's a reminder that you can contact me on a PM in order ro win some money.
So the first bet of 2020 begins with bet on Verdasco. Despite being 35 yy spaniard was very consistant on hardcourt,  which isnt his best surface,  knowing the fact that he doesnt belong to the top guys, he is still playing some great tennis, he maybe won't beat top players on hard,  but clay court is his surface and i expecting him breeze past his fellow countryman with no problem!  Clay season maybe the last one for Fernando, so expect him to go all the way for these tournaments,  especially playing low ranked players.  GL ?

Stefanos Tsitsipas (-3.5) to beat Milos Raonic || 1.89 @ OLYBET
Don't know its good or bad that greek had extra day to rest or whatever he did, but i guess he should be prepared for this. This is typical game where you expect tie-break fest, fact that Milos is a ridiciulous server,  but i have some questions about his ability last long in big games. He can win a set,  but i think that Stefanos just to much for him. He is way smarter like a player,  he had a great year of 2019,  beating some top guys on big tournaments,  and i believe that he'll get though here. One break early on and it could go really messy for the canadian.  In case Tsitsipas loses in tie-break he, still got -4.5, that can be covered in smth like 6:3. Overall i cant see him losing here, for safe bet you just can pick him around 1.38! GL ?

Simona Halep to beat Yulia Putintseva at 1.46 with Pinnacle
I guess I need to gain my confidence somewhere and this looks decent enough. Collins was having fitness issues before her match against Yulia and she was just outlasted by the feisty girl, but this should be a completely even footing matchup-wise with Halep being just better overall. The small blip against Dart is somewhat worrisome I guess, but she refocused quickly and got the job done, so, in the end, she should win this.

Does Cilic to win @ 1.4 really worth it?!  Really..  I mean his stamina is so questionable,  he had rough year of 2019 almost lost in every 3 games.  Only AO where he last little bit longer.. But it was a year ago..  i feel here Benoit have a chance. Dont want to make up your minds,  but be carefull,  and GL if you won't!

Grigor Dimitrov (-4.5 games) to beat Tommy Paul || 1.98 with OLYBET
At first look, looks like american had not bad last years ending, winning some games also he showed some good tennis in Adelaide.  But when you see who he has played is just low ranked players,  Adelaide he has some wins but also vs clay specialists Cuevas,  Ramos that were beaten in first round. I honestly don't believe that he can do smth here vs very well,  consistant player like Dimitrov!  Last year Paul didn't even make in R1 here. Dimitrov is way above and i see no problem to oust american home right away. GL ?

Well, this looks ridiculous to me. Fact that greek is so talented and have a very mature game for a 22yy. Probably he will end up winning.  But on the other hand we have german,  and he is no mug whatsoever, he likes this surface,  serves really well, have a huge experience, and sometimes these things plays a part in big tournaments. Despite Stefanos winning easily R1, german did the same vs M. Giron. I am expecting some serious battle for at least two sets. Smth like 7:5 7:5 6:4 will get passed.  But i am expecting german to take at least a set here, which is @ 1.97 and very likely to happen. But i am picking with more insurance over 33.5! GL ?

    Chelsea vs Arsenal
The midweek Premier League matches kick-off tonight with a range of appetising fixtures to choose from. I'm opting for the so-called big game of the round that's the all-London affair between Chelsea and Arsenal in an 8:15pm GMT kick-off from Stamford Bridge. Can the home side consolidate their position in the Champions League places against an away side that are beginning to look worryingly at home in mid-table?
Chelsea are positioned in 4th place and 5 points ahead of Manchester United who lie in 5th place behind them. The form of Frank Lampard's side isn't great with the Blues having lost 6 of their last 11 league games at home. On the plus side, Chelsea have only conceded 10 goals at home this season. Only Liverpool boast a better defensive home record having conceded 9 goals. The fact they've also won 6 of the past 7 meetings between these two clubs should give them a confidence boost heading into this game.
Arsenal come into this game in a state of transition. Mikel Arteta's side have only won 2 of their 10 league games since Unai Emery was sacked. That's probably understandable given Arteta's lack of movement in the transfer market and taking charge of a side that look bereft of self belief. The Gunners will be without captain and top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for this game as he serves the second game of a three game suspension. The away record of the club is even more worrying than their overall form with just 1 win coming in their last 10 away league games but they are unbeaten in their last 5 away league matches.
I'm not sure how to call this but I think Arsenal are a severely handicapped side without Aubameyang up top. The fact Gabriel Martinelli is showing promise up top for Arsenal is positive but it's too much to expect him to fill the captain's boots. Chelsea are going through a sticky patch with inconsistent results but I think they will have enough in the locker to win this one.

Hi! I have been out for a long time but this is a Grand Slam so here I am again.
Corentin Moutet to beat Marin Cilic at 2.62 with bet365
Cilic’s bad form still goes on. 0 finals played in 2019 and now out of the Top 30. He also left bad feelings in the ATP Cup so I can see an early bye from him here. The young talented Frenchman comes here with confidence. He did Final in his previous tournament (Doha) beating there Andrej Martin, Popyrin, Sandgren, Raonic, Verdasco and Wawrinka. He lost the Final against the very in-form Rublev.
Giles Simon to beat (-1,5 Sets) Pablo Cuevas at 1.85 with 888
Cuevas is another player in a very bad form. His performance in the ATP Cup was pathetic. He lost against Nishioka (6-0, 6-1), Nadal (6-2, 6-1) and Basilashvili in 3 sets. He was destroyed in his last match by Tommy Paul (6-1, 6-2) after beating Opelka (5-7, 7-6, 7-6). Im not worried for that win considering that was against Opelka. Simon is not in his best moment but his game and results in the last months are clearly better so I expect Simon to win this with the handicap.
Yoshihito Nishioka to beat (-1,5 Sets) Laslo Djere at 1.76 with 888
Nishioka played very well in the ATP Cup beating Cuevas and Basilashvili in straight sets and putting Nadal in some troubles despite losing the match. Djere has a bad record on hard courts so I expect Nishioka who is clearly the better hard court player here to take this 3-0 or 3-1.
Reilly Opelka vs Fabio Fognini Over 3.5 Sets at 1.51 with Marathonbet
Nothing much to say here. I can’t imagine this match being won in straight sets. These players faced each other in the US Open (Opelka won 3-1).
I have to take a hard look to the women draw and let see what can I take from there.

Ricardas Berankis to beat Roberto Carballes Baena || 1.66 @ OLYBET ||
Both guys met before two times on hard surface.  2018 Challenger in Brest Ricardas beat him 6:2 6:2, and the other one, not that long ago he lost in Moscow 2:6 6:4 3:6 Kind of surprise, because Roberto basically playing very bad on hardcourt. Thoughout his pro carrer he played 39 singles and doubles finals and none of them has been played on hard. Also he never won in the first round in AO. The only time he won back in 2017 qualification 2nd round.
Ricardas will play his 9th time here in Australia, 2011 and 2013 was years when he got to the 3rd round.  Overall this is succesfull Grand Slam for him comparing to others. So maybe he has a tricky offseason, but he loves to play hardcourts and should get though here! GL ?

Sevastova leads 2-0 h2h but both in Mallorca on grass. Has been a bit average at end of 2019 and continued with 2 losses in lead up games to the Open to similar players to Tomljanovic (Kenin, Vekic)

fizrukas reacted to CzechPunter in Tennis Tips - 2019 Off-Season
Alright guys, the 2019 tennis season is more or less officially over, so it's time for a fairly long review of what happened.
On the sporting side of things, I think that we had a fairly intriguing season. I am, of course, hugely disappointed that we don't have any new Grand Slam winners, with Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal splitting all four titles evenly, but Daniil Medvedev came agonizingly close in the US Open and I think that the final there was actually the match of the year for me. I reckon that some of you will claim that the Wimbledon finals were the real thing, but I unfortunately didn't actually get to see that one, so I have no idea about what actually happened apart from the scoreboard changes. I did get to watch Nadal-Medvedev in the middle of the night while a storm was raging outside, however, so yeah, that was an interesting experience :D.
The second ATP story of the year that I'd like to highlight here was Murray's comeback, as I was genuinely convinced that he wouldn't be able to do much after his loss against.....er...I think it was Viola. He did grab a title afterwards in style, however, and I think that he might do even more in 2020. It's hard to say how much he can do in the physically-more-demanding Grand Slams, but he should be very dangerous everywhere else.
As far as the WTA is concerned, well, it's still a mess, isn't it? And I think that we have Clijsters or someone coming back next year as well, which is honestly just crazy - if she's going to make it, it really is going to speak volumes about the difference between ATP and WTA, I really can't imagine that we'd have Radek Stepanek or someone making a singles comeback in the same vein :D. The Grand Slams were obviously quite exciting with the Williams story and with seven different players occupying those eight final places, which is just really good for the game imo. It's great to have Bianca coming up, but I'm really sad that Marketa Vondrousova is yet another of those great talents trapped in awfully frail bodies. I'm getting Djokovic vibes whenever I see her play for some reason, but, well, she's currently after a surgery and we haven't see her since Wimbledon, so I'm not sure what the state of affairs is going to be next year.
On the forum side of things, the activity has picked up quite a bit in comparison with the previous season and we now have a nice mix of regulars and newcomers, so I'm really hoping that we are going to continue in the same fashion once the Australian Open starts. The passion always goes down a bit after the US Open and that is understandable, but I'd like to see all the guys here again in January. I'm not even going to name anyone, as I'm sure that I'd miss someone! In any case, I didn't even have to ban all that many people in 2019, which is just excellent!
And, finally, the betting side of things. While I was hoping to get to the lower levels of the competition, I didn't get to that for all sorts of reasons, so there were no easy pickings to be found anywhere. I'm hoping to get to exploring that area next year, especially if everything is still going to be so difficult on the main tours, but that's not for now, that's for later - and January is going to be all about the main tour anyway. Results-wise, I'm happy to say that 2019 was another profitable year, although I must admit that it wasn't as great as I was hoping it to be. Overall, it appears that I managed to place a grand total of 292 bets and that I ended with a decent ROI of 103%. I know that many people are still actively debating what ROI is achievable long term, but it's really hard for me to contribute to that, as it really depends on a great many of factors. I'm certainly guilty of being a bit overactive, which leads to some bad bets here and there, and I'm also guilty of not trying to exploit ITFs and Challengers as often as possible. I am going to try to change that if given a chance - and should lead to at least somewhat better results.
So, on that note, I hope that you are all going to have a great off-season, Christmas, etc., and I hope that we are all going to meet here either at the end of December or at least for the start of the Australian Open (January 20). I thank you all for being here and contributing!
