    Begemann/Junaid + Melzer/Polasek @ 2.31 Sportingbet 3/10
Solid parlay. Like them both, took Melzer/Polasek yesterday at even odds and they played really well, they're looking like a doubles team that can do damage even at higher level imo. Begemann/Junaid should be too solid and motivated for Kolar and Pavlasek.

I know Popyrin is a rookie here but anyone see value in taking him Vs Thiem.I know everyone here had Paire to one up him, me included but I sniff a small chance at an upset. His last year  match ups beating Ebden Paire and McDonald(who I consider descent) at Swiss Indoors last year was quite something.Beating Mischa was good but not good enough to rank him here but I'm taking a chance here

Pierre-Hughes Herbert +1.5 set to beat Hyeon Chung at 1.70 with beteasy
PHH played well vs Querrey in the previous round and since the beginning of the season in general.
Very good double player but could also be worth more than his current 55 rank in singles
Chung is struggling to play his tennis from last year (early loss against Statham etc and 5 sets to beat Klahn)
PHH won their only encounter (Wimbledon in 5 sets)
I see this as a close match and good chance to go 5 sets or a win for the Frenchman.

Popyrin looked good yesterday but Zverev seemed really weak. Surely Thiem can play a little bit better. will be an interesting match.

Regret not following through with my thoughts on Fritz and Anisimova!
will play it a little less "safe" from now!
stopped watching Diego after 2-0 ish. He was sort of in control but losing his serve here and there.

Watched Fogini vs Munar as I had Fogini to win.
He did not impress me at all even though he won in straight sets + retirement.
Too many laps of concentration. Against better players it wont just cost going to a tie break but actual sets.
H2H vs Mayer is close so while Fogini should win it might not be worth it especially in a multi.

    Cilic + rba + dimitrov @ 1.6 bet365
rba: if Millman couldn’t beat Simon in 3 sets I don’t see what he can do against an in form rba in 5 sets

Cilic dispatched Tomic easily for his first match of the year .. mac Donald is not as dangerous as Tomic at Australia open and already did a good perf.

Dimitrov looking for grand slam breakthrough with Agassi on his side did drop a set to tisspa but yeah should not have any problem vs cuevas

Yeah, he looked decent even in the first set but made some typical errors after being out for such a long time. I put some money on him while he was a set and a break down, nice win to start a week. He played very good in the third set.

I don't think Osuigwe is ready to play on that level yet. Apart from those two tournaments at the end of the last season she has done nothing on that level. Andreescu is on a sick run right now and playing really well. Got this like 75/25 for Andreescu. But still i won't touch set handicaps on womens matches, can't see any value there.

Diego Schwartzman (-1.5 sets) to beat Denis Kudla at 1.67 with Paddy Power
Kudla was pretty crap today, while DSS is back to some sort of form by the looks of things. He's the better player both technically and mentally.

Murray is unbelievable. He should feel proud even if he lost the match because he sure is playing very well considering his bad injury.

My 2c on kiki vs Alison
Watched Kiki play Ash Barty and the match before .. and watched Alison in China..
I think Alison will at most take a set from Kiki .. she can’t sustain the level needed to beat these sort of players over a whole match.. she got very close many times last year but ...
However an upset may come if Kiki gets frustrated when Alison plays very well for more than a set.

I had my eyes on Alison for an upset here but I don’t think it can be against Kiki!

Ok now I got to drop the bomb..
Mikhail Kukushkin to beat Lucas Pouille at 2.63 with Unibet
I'm gonna have a big stake on this one. If Mikhail has maintained his form from the end of last season he's gonna win this. Lucas have never reached the second round in AO, out in first round 4 times. Mikhail is notoriously good in grand slams and davis cup or you could say he's an excellent best of 5 sets player. He can certainly nick this matchup. And it wasn't just at the end of last season Mikhail was good, he was acctually pretty good all of 2018. High confidence in Mikhail from my side.
Edit: the downside on this bet is that Lucas have never lost in a best of 5 to Mikhail, beaten him twice in 4 sets in US open. Is this bet worth it @CzechPunter?

Tennys Sandgren to beat (-1.5 sets) Cameron Norrie at 3.45 with Unibet
Can resist this juicy price on Tennys as straight sets winner. He's been great this week and Cameron is in his first final with less experience. He's at home where he grew up in Auckland but that should just mean he'll maybe have nerves playing a part in this match and he wasn't looking so convincing in the semi acctually. He may have won the match and qualified for his hometown tournaments final but that could be where it ends big time. Tennys have played some solid tennis this week, just look at how he knocked Phil Kohli off the court and he reached his first final last season in Houston and could play more relaxed here and he's got a better chance of winning a title this time. Cameron will probably get more chances for titles. They have met several times on the challenger tour with Cameron winning most of the times and once in the Tiburon final where Cameron won in straight sets. Tennys won in straight sets once in those meetings and once in 3 but my feeling says Tennys will take it this time in straight sets.

I'm agree with you. I don't understand why Norrie is favorite here. Sandgren has played better here and has won all his matches in straight sets

Allison might surprise .. the problem with Bertens is she has some lingering injuries, and isn't really a passionate tennis player like some others.. She also happens to get nervous and choke matches.. She is not in top form at the moment... She gave Barty a great match , but Barty hasn't peaked either this year... Ashleigh has grand slams in her future.. Beast of a player, and she might make a deep run in this tournament as well. When Barty is in good form .. she rarely disssapoints. Her fitness is better... and I see Barty sitting around # 4-7 in the rankings by years end.
I did not watch the matches in China with allison tho ... so I'm out of the loop

    Zoe Hives @ 1.87 Betfair 4/10
Can't say Mattek-Sands is "back" at all, she is 2-13 since coming back in Miami last year in March. Now she is facing a tough challenge as Hives is looking great recently beating Wickmayer and Larsson and losing a close match to big-time prospect Potapova. I can't say this are correct odds at the moment, i expect Hives to bring everything and this should be enough for current version of BMS.

Muchova is overrated and Pliskova should win it quite easily. I watched a lot of Pliskova in Brisbane and she looked in superb shape. She is at least one class above Muchova. Can't see the Muchova hype by the way and i backed her vs. Yastremska at the beginning of the season but still no idea why she should beat Pliskova who is one of the favorites to win the whole tournament. Wouldn't even touch her at odds 5-6.

Kiki has improved her hardcourt game, certainly at the back end of last year. She's not simply good on clay anymore, and she's started off quite decently this year. Remember she won against Halep in a hardcourt Masters final last year, if I remember correctly.

There a lot of bets for the 1st round and I like them so I just will be looking for some upset in the women draw and follow your predictions
Alison Riske to beat Kiki Bertens at 4.00 with William Hill
Alison did so well in the last tournament in Shenzen, winning against Qiang Wang (6-3, 6-3), Rodina (4-6, 6-2, 6-3), Cirstea (7-5, 6-1) and Zvonariova (6-0, 1-0). She lost in the final against Sabalenka but took a set from her and could won that match in straight sets (6-4, 6-7, 3-6). I know I have said this several times here but Kiki is usually overrated by the bookies (in this surface she’s not as good as she is in claycourts). Kiki is the favourite obviously but I think Alison has real chances.

Milos Raonic to beat Nick Kyrgios at 1.80 with Pinnacle
Kyrgios is being hyped up for no reason here imo, his first appearances in 2019 were really poor, while Raonic was showing glimpses of good form. Against Harrison, Kyrgios won through serve alone and then lost easily against Chardy once his big serves stopped working.
