Can see it being heavy going by the time racing starts tomorrow. Vieux Lion Rouge should enjoy that. Remarkable horse who’s jumped 202/202 grand National fences. 

Already backed le breuil at 6 .....vieux lion rouge is getting on but he seems to handle aintree fences really well so still makes ew appeal at 16/1 ....especially 5places...

PERCYP remains top with a 16/1 each way shot.
BBBC opens his account in style with a 25/1 winner.
A tough day generally with just 10 winners.

There have been 31 runners aged 8 or less and only 1 has won. This leaves 4, FLYING ANGEL, CRIEVEHILL, MIGHT BITE and CAID DU LIN.

My analysis of the trends.
There have been 52 runners that have carried more than 11st 12ilbs and only 1 has won. This reduces the field to 7.
There have been 45 runners with forecast odds greater than 16/1 and only 1 has won. This takes out 2 more.
There have been 42 horses older than 9 and only 1 has won. This leaves 3, LE BREUIL, COO STAR SIVOLA and CALETT MAD.
There have been 66 horses that finished out of the 1st 3 last time and only 1 has won. This leaves just 1, CALETT MAD, available at 12/1 and paying up to 5 places.
The big question mark is that he last ran in January last year.
