I've put the Divisional results up in each of the final week selection threads. I'll collate the overall and put the prize winners instructions up tonight

Final Result: We always get a fair amount of drop outs and all in risk takers in the bottom division so it's not surprising that you end up with an overall loss for the season, although you do have the second best number of winning bets. 3 winners in the final week made a profitable week and produced a change at the top of the Division. A 3 figure win for @TFC takes them into 1st place, with @Tidytips, @Dramfech and @Marmalade all finishing in profit and making up the other prize places. All 4 will also be in Division 1 next year Well done and thank you to everyone who lasted the course

Final Result: The best performing division overall! A profit for the final week and despite the lowest number of wins over the season you are the only division to make a profit overall. @Paperclip wins the prize for the Highest Odds Win with his week 6 treble at 56.33. 3 wins this week. DanPUP gets bet of the week with a 20.6 treble but it's @Skittle's 3 figure win which moves him up into the 3rd place prize position with @Paperclip and @tl53 holding their 1st and 2nd places in the Division with totals over £500. Creditable mentions to Cuko, DanPUP and u1905068 who all made a good profit and will be in Division 1 next year. Top 3 here are also the top 3 in the overall but well done to everyone in the division.

Final Result: 3 good winners in the final week produce a profitable end and means the overall bank finishes only slightly down over the season. The wins result in quite a change to the top of the division with some late contenders for the prizes. @Data just holds on to 1st place with @andellio and @MinellaWorksop both shooting up the table to take 2nd and 3rd spots. Jockprop, calva decoy and Redphil57 all stayed in overall profit but look like they will just miss the cut for the top Division next year. Nearly everyone found a winner, well done all

Final Result: What a rollercoaster ride it has been in the fun division this season! You end up with your overall bank slightly down having had no winners this week, but have the highest total number of winners over the season. And no eliminations for no shows. @akarsioti couldn't make it a perfect 10 from 10 and both his selections let him down after a masterful strategy the previous 9 weeks, but he is the clear winner of the Most Wins Prize. @Marek76's turbulent campaign results in him dropping down to 2nd place with @corky floating up to the top spot (see what I did there ), @paulat and @vangovin keep their 3rd and 4th positions. Creditable mentions also to Peter York and Blackfritz who miss out on the money but will gain a promotion into Division 1 next year. Well done to everyone, brilliant effort from you all

Final Result: Sad to say we managed to produce the worst overall result of all the divisions, we were obviously overcome by the occasion of being in the top tier! We wiped out half our overall bank and only 3 managed to stay in individual profit for the season although most of us did find at least one winner. But it looks like only our 1st place winner will be returning to Division 1 for the next season. 3 small wins this week plus an eliminating no show gives us a change to the top 4. @Sterphyle is our well deserved winner by some margin with 7 wins over the season, a mix of double and treble picks. @tonythepaint climbs up to 2nd place with a 5th win, and @Cauncie maintains his 3rd place. @Jediknight was our other weekly winner and takes the 4th place prize although not in overall profit. Well done to everyone for trying so hard all season, see you down in a lower Division next year.

I believe that the master of Lucky 15's @Zilzalian once said something along the lines of if you add the odds up and it is less than 28 then it is best just to have a win bet instead of each way. Anyway, I thought that I would check to see if the probabilities change using various odds for selections when you select a total of say 28 to 1 for all four. I tried to even out the odds thinking that I would have a better chance of getting all four in if I did so. I put the odds of 7/1 = 28 total in my calculator = 0.125 x 0.125 x 0.125 x 0.125 the answer came back 2.44140625 x10 negative 4 which I believe = 0.0000244140625. I then put in the odds of 10/1, 2/1, 12/1 and 4/1 = 28/1 total = 0.91 x 0.333 x 0.077 x 0.2 the answer came back 4.666662 x 10 negative 3 which I believe = 0.0004666662 So, it looks like the old geezer's right that we should mix up some of the larger odds with the smaller odds to have a better chance of getting a winning return on all four. At this point I fully expect @Valiant Thor to appear from the clouds and tell me that I have got it all wrong again. However, this seems to be an interesting thought to sleep on

I think the wisest advice I have heard is not to look for winners but to look for value. A 1/10 shot is good value if the true odds are 1/20 whereas a 100/1 shot is not value if it's true odds are 200/1.

You are right, I think some people pick the obvious long odds on shots and on a day when there aren't any then they may go for a selection that gets them above 10 points and then for the rest of the month stick to the odds on selections. I don't set out to win the KO cup, the month I won it previously I realised with a few days to go that I was the only one in the top few that had achieved the 10 points so for the last few days I went for the odds on shots. This month I was fortunate enough to start the with 3 7/2 winners so was above the 10 points mark after 3 days. I then decided to go for the most winners comp. It will be very rare this happens at the start of the month so it's not very often I will go for the most winners. I'm not sure what the logic was for the comp, it was created before I started the admin, I vaguely remember the discussions but not the full justification for it.
