Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Newcastle Jets V Gold Coast United UNDER 2.5 goals @ 1.82 - Betfair. Both sides are in superb form recently with Newcastle slightly the better, and both have but one loss each home and away respectively. Newcastle Jets have gone unders in 88% of their fixtures home and away, while Gold Coast have gone under in 50% of their away fixtures. I think based on current form, the home sides tendancy for tight games, and the fact Gold Coast are pretty decent on the road, the unders are the best route to profit in this fixture. I've also noticed while watching this league that quality in the final third is at a premium, and referees have a tendancy to be blind toward blatant penalty appeals, so overs are very hard to call sometimes.

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season North Queensland Fury @ 2.94 - Betfair v Sydney FC. Not sure why Sydney are being made favourites here, if not for the fact they currently sit ahead of Fury in the table. (albeit only three points ahead) Sydney have only won once away this season, and have scored a measley six goals in eight games away from home. North Queensland have faced some tough opponents recently, and playing a Sydney side in equally poor form, should provide some respite.

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season North Queensland - Sydney under 2.5 @ 1.97 pinnacle North Queensland have not scored in their last 2 games, yet have allowed 2 goals in each of these games, losing 2-0 to good sides like Adelaide and Newcastle. They have gone under in 4 of their last 5 games, including their last 2 at home, and though they play fairly well at home, they have won just 1 of their last 6 home games. Sydney played much better in the second half against a very good Brisbane side on the weekend, but they have been shut out in 3 of their last 4 games, as well as in their last 2 away games. Both sides are struggling for form, as goalscoring is an issue, so can see this being a low scoring game.

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Adelaide United is showing a very good form lately and I don't think that Melbourne Heart can hold a clean sheet in front of Van Dijk and Flores ( 2 of the best offensive players in A-League IMO ). Also, the guests will have important absences in the attack - Sibon ( 19 matches / 5 goals ), Terra ( 14m/2g ) and Babalj ( 13m/2g). The three players mentioned above scored 45% of the Melbourne Heart goals this season. The Melbourne team welcomes back after injury experienced midfielder Skoko, and will rely in the offence only on the quality of John Aloisi and the attacking skills of the winger Rutger Worm. On the other side, Adelaide will miss Cornthwaite ( good defender ) and Leckie ( midfielder 9m/4g ). Adelaide has a very good morale, in the middle of a season in wich they are overperforming and in wich they overcame all the negative issues. ( the rumours about the team's bancrupcy, the lack of sponsors, etc. ) Melbourne has 7 matches in a row without win ( 6 losses and one draw ) and in the last round they lost the derby with local rivals Melbourne Victory so the morale must be very low. The odds are very short for a simple victory of the hosts ( 1.5 ) so I will go for the Asian Handicap with a return of the stack in case of a victory at only one goal. As a conclusion: ADELAIDE UNITED AH -1 @ 1.88 seems to be the best choice IMO. Good luck all!

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Adelaide -1.5 @ 2.56 pinnacle Adelaide will look to continue their very good home form as they have won their last 7 games at home, scoring at least 2 goals in each of them, and also with 4 clean sheets in these games. While Lewckie has been missing for the last few weeks, van Dijk and Flores have been playing well, while Dodd and Pantelis have provided the sparks down the flanks. Even though Cornthwaite is missing, they have a handy replacement in Mullen, so the defence should be pretty much the same. Melbourne Heart have been floundering since their very good start. They have a draw with 5 losses in their last 6 starts, and in these losses, they have allowed at least two goals in each of them. Also, they scored just once in these 6 games, while they have lost by at least a 2 goal margin in the 5 losses. They lose an important attacking threat in Sibon, but it is their defence that is a concern, as they looked all over the place, with the structure they had at the start of the season, not looking so solid now. Adelaide have beaten them 3-2 at home, when the Heart were playing much better than they are now, and also beat them 2-0 on the road, so like the Reds to continue their form, as they look to close the gap with league leaders Brisbane

Gerald Sibon in Heart and not playing. Not good! For a team like that to miss an experienced player like him is a big blow. The guy has been playing Eredevisie football on higher level a long time' date=' being a regular in Heereveen.[/quote'] Lycky I had only 2€ on the Adelaide AH -2.0 John Aloise came back to haunt his old club. aloisi.jpg

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Adelaide -1.5 @ 2.56 :@ Had their chances to score a second before giving up two late goals to lose the game Wellington @ 2.18 pinnacle Wellington have been inconsistent this year, with wins at home and losses on the road. They have scored twice in their last 3 home games, winning 2 and drawing the other game, and having beaten Adelaide at home two weeks ago, they are looking to go on from there. A win here gets them equal with Newcastle and into the top 6, so like them to be fired up for this game Newcastle have some players out for this game, with Milicevic out, their defence is missing an important player, as well as Wehrman and Kantarovski in the midfield who have been very good players for them, are out too, and their depth will be tested. They played midweek against the Gold Coast and though they beat them 2-0, it was a depleted side they beat, and now with this game occuring 3 days later, expect them to be tired from this game. Though they have won their last 3 games, the players that are missing are important ones for them, so can see a Wellington win here, as they have beaten Newcastle in the last 4 games played between these two team in New Zealand. Melbourne Victory - Perth over 3.5 @ 2.90 centrebet Very good by the Victory over their city rivals Heart last week, as they showed the benefits of their key players returning to fitness. They have been scoring goals of late, with at least 2 goals scored in 4 their last 5 games but the problem has been that they have been conceding goals as well, with 11 goals allowed in their last 5 games. Each of these 5 games has seen at least 4 goals scored in them Perth have scored and conceded in each of their last 3 games, and they will be looking to do well against the Victory. as they have won 4 of their last 6 meetings between the two sides. They have already beaten them twice this year, and though this will be a tough game to beat them a third time, and on the road once again, they are starting to get some confidence back after drawing their last 2 games. These two teams have each scored in 5 of their last 6 meetings, so like the look of goals in this game. Also with these 5 games seeing 3 goals scored, and 3 of these games seeing 4 or more goals scored, like the look of this trend to continue. North Queensland - Brisbane under 2.5 @ 2.13 pinnacle North Queensland coming off a grinding 1-0 win over Sydney mid week, where the quality of both sides was lacking, and was a pretty dull affair. Defensively, the Fury did not allow much so they will need to play a similar game to stop a very good Brisbane side. Expect them to flood the midfield to stop Brisbane's passing game. North Queensland have gone under in 5 of their last 6 games, as well as in 4 of their last 5 home games, as they do have problems in scoring goals. Brisbane did enough to beat Sydney 1-0 last week, as they cruised through this game. But this is a danger game for them as they may become complacent against the team coming 3rd last and with an inferior squad. Also they may be looking ahead to next weeks big clash with the Gold Coast, so would not be surprised if they do not play as well as they can. Furthermore, they have drawn 1-1 in 3 of the only 4 meetings (all 4 games going under) they have had so far, including both games in Townsville, so liking this to be another low scoring game

Great start for the Phoenix not just by the fact they are in the lead by 1 goal but they control the game early on. Edit: Also an early substitute for the Phoenix by Chris Greenacre coming in for Paul Ifill. I don't know why Greenacre did'nt start. He's great and was the man behind the first goal. 2-0 Phoenix Looking really awful if you're a fan of the Jets.

That should be another boost in the attack for sure.

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season Gold Coast - Central Coast over 2.5 @ 2.09 pinnacle Third placed Gold Coast and 4th placed Central Coast look to not only gain a win but also to bridge the gap with 2nd placed Adelaide. Culina returns for the GC which should their ability to create and score goals while the CC will be looking to break their run of 3 successive draws on the road. The Gold Coast have gone over in 4 of their last 6 home games while the Central Coast have scored and conceded in 5 of their last 6 games, including their last 3 road games. Also these two teams have gone over in 3 of their 5 meetings thus far. Like the look of some goals here

Gold Coast - Central Coast over 2.5 @ 2.09 Match called off. Horrendous playing conditions with constant rain making the game unplayable
Before the match went abandoned I think it was a goal dissallowed. I had over 3.5 goals. Kind of had it in a five fold with Osasuna, Juventus, Sochaux and over 43.5 NFL Ravens v Saints. Because of this I only get a four fold paying 21.0 instead of 77.98. If the weather had been fine I belive both teams had scored over 3.5.

Re: Australia A-League 2010/2011 Season

Could anybody that follows A-League give his opinion about the match between Central Coast and North Queensland please?
According to my Pullein ratings from this & previous season CC Mariners have a 1.2 goal supremacy going into this match, which divides it roughly 50-28-22%. Goal expectation for this match around 2.8. But this is all math. :unsure
