StuSimmy
Always did wonder if it mattered whether you posted your bets up in "Pts or £'s"? I tend to do a mixture to be honest but I bet small most the time so most my bets I do post up will be 1 PT = £1. Bit of a pointless thread but did wonder why people used Pts instead of £? I dont reveal mine nor do a lot of others. :ok If we had people on here saying, i had £100 on that, it just gets stupid
RuleBritannia
Re: "Pts or £'s" My 1pt does equate to a £ figure, as does most but as Bowles says, the £ figures are completely irrelevant on this forum.
BillyHills
Re: "Pts or £'s" Pts is the Racing industry language if you like. If I said I had £50 on a horse, you wouldnt know how strongly I fancied it at all, £50 may be loose change it may be a fortune. If I use a scale of Pts, say 1-10 and I said I was backing it to 8pts for example you would have an idea how much it was fancied. If you back in level stakes it doesnt make a lot of difference but it doesnt go down well on a public forum when guys say they are having or had a grand on something, I mean who believes them anyway, whether its true or not? Following on from that, some screen print their accounts to prove their bets but I use photoshop everyday in my line of work and its so easy to make people see what you want them to see. Using pts as a stake takes all that away and doesnt cause any conflict.
StuSimmy
Re: "Pts or £'s" Yeah I was thinking that, I am using £'s in my thread, would others prefer that I changed it to pts as I have no objection to that?
