At Towcester Pearlysteps and Ashleys Lad look to have it between them, the latter definitely wants further but on this track and ground he may get away with it but Pearlysteps looks to have the best form. In the next race Gentle Caribou comes out on top but is a nigtmare ride and wouldnt want to be backing it, if Khasabelle comes back to form he would go very close. At Wincanton Topsham Belle looks to have an easy task in the first while Henry King is a horse I like and should finally get his win in the second race, Gifted Leader wont be easy to beat but the penalty could make the difference. Bets: 220 Win: Henry King 4pts (11/8 SJ Bog) 140 Tow: Pearlysteps 2pts (13/8 Lads Bog) 340 Tow: Kahsabelle 1pt EW (7/1 PP Bog)

Re: NH Novice Watch 2009 Round Up At Wincanton the front two ran funny races, Henry King drifted a lot and then ran much too freely before weakening two out, really needs to settle and looks a difficult ride. Gifted Leader was never in with a chance and then ran on too late to grab second. The winner did it well but the form of this race is open to question. Topsham Belle won at 1/4 but was struggling from someway out and somehow got up to win from Over The Flow. At Towcester Pearlysteps won very easily and will go on now to defy a penalty in this grade. In the last race two fancied debutants fought out the finish in a race where nothing looked that special. Asturienne has a straight forward task in the other race but will be unbackable. At Catterick its the opposite with loads of runners, many who are unproven so tread carefully here, in the first previous winner Helieorbea has a chance to defy the penalty, the danger is Warrior One who when last seen was improving but that was in November. The last race looks the most competative with quite a few closely rated in my book, I like Truckers Hall's form behind Possol and recieves weight from both Hold Fast and Barafundle. Bet 320 Catt: Truckers Hall 2pts (2/1 PP Bog)

Re: NH Novice Watch 2009 Round Up Funny old game this and if ever you thought it was easy just look at yesterdays results. Both Asturienne and Devil To Pay were beaten at long odds on and I suppose i was fortunate to swerve them. Truckers Hall was well backed and at one point I thought that was beat too but battled on well to end the trainers losing run. Jeronimo Joe showed improved form to beat Warrior One and Helieorbea in the other race and he could improve even further. The form horses are Babysitter and Jackday and I suppose any market moves will be significant here. At Sandown we have a nice juvenile race headed by Anak who bounced back last time, he may want it even softer but has every chance at the weights, Dikatalina is interesting with the sex allowance. According from the Henderson yard heads the betting, he had three entered for this origionally so wont be surprised if this one hosed up. At Donny we have two nice races, the first is a competative affair with plenty of form on offer, Dr Livingstone has probably been running in better races and could go close and Tanto Faz ran into a good one last time and is improving. King runs Iolith who was badly hampered on his debut and is fancied and we also have horses from the Pipe and Henderson yards. Add to the mix previous winners Bivouac and Charlie Tipple makes this a race to watch for the future. The last race is between South Leinster, Bally Sands and fav Wayward Prince, at the prices Bally Sands is the value as long as his race the other day hasnt atken too much out of him but he did need the run badly. No Bets

Re: NH Novice Watch 2009 Round Up Pretty good day all round with some very nice races to sort out for the future, the ratings had the first three in two races, the top two rated were beaten by a debutant in the first at Donny and a 3/1 winner for the jnt top rated at Wetherby. Diktalina stood out with a nice performance and Anak ran a sound race too. Cant believe i didnt put Wayward Prince up, I did elsewhere, he won very easily. The Pipe newcomer was impressive in the 12.50 and Babysitter plugged on to win at Wetherby. At Musselburgh the prizes are decent and in the first Candy Creek recieves the sex allowance and has to put a shock defeat behind her but is highly regarded. Top weight Alvarado has a stiff task and the danger maybe from Ireland with Backstage. In the other race there we have Baccalaureate trying to follow up his 100/1 shocker last week, many have crabbed the form but we will see today. Carlito Brigante won here before stepping up last time and will be hard to catch while Ascendant was impressive on his debut. Over at Fontwell in the first Orzare looks to have found a nice opportunity, he has the beating of Extreme Impact and Causeway King has been disappointing, the debutant Santo Thomas coould be the danger. Van Griego won very nicely last time and see no reason why he cant follow up in the other race from Ryde Back. Re: NH Novice Watch 2009 Round Up At Fontwell I may have got lucky in the first as Casueway King made a last flight blunder which gave the race to Orzare, hard to tell but it would have been close. The other race was scrappy and the absence of Van Griego spoiled it. Candy Creek was impressive at Musselburgh showing the ground was to balme for her defeat at Newbury and in the big race Carlito Brigante won well to confirm whats been going on all season, the Irish have a stronger hand in the novice divisions this seaon. The Rainbow Hunter has a lot of weight and his rating doesnt take into account his last run in a handicap which was an improvement. Sarando's run last time behind a good horse looks solid form and it should be a close race. Ar Southwell we have Banjaxed Girl who hosed up last time but beat nothing but did run well when second to Topsham Belle before that. Dream Esteem came through nicely on his debut to win at Ffos Las, again the oposition wasnt that good but open to lots of improvement. Re: NH Novice Watch 2009 Round Up Two nice winners yesterday, both convincing too. Banjaxed Girl is a useful mare and will be aimed at the big race at Newbury later in the season, Dream Esteem looked a tricky ride and may find it difficult under a penalty. Sarando keeps improving and loved the heavy ground, just galloped and outstayed some moderate rivals, Riff was well backed and ran well while The Rainbow Hunter came down on the bend but was under pressure at the time. Over at MRasen the juvenile race is a puzzle in the fact that Blue Nymph stands out on form but has two respected newcomers from good stables in opposition, Jonjo runs Open Day aswell who looks an improver. The last race is very interesting with a few in with a shout, Bygones Of Brid and Sandynow carry penalties but are useful at this level while Henderson runs both Ranjobaie and Proud Presence who have shown enough to get involved. Re: NH Novice Watch 2009 Round Up In the first at Rasen Blue Nymph never looked comfortable to me and the penalty took its toll in the home straight, Open Day came from miles back to wear down long time leader Veronicas Choice, the pace was too quick and one or two paid the penalty for trying to chase it, this form isnt reliable in my book. The other race there was fought out between the principles with Ranjobai finally winning, the horse was getting all the allowances and won nicely, Bygones Of Brid ran up to his form and this race could be worth following. At Sedggy the temperamental Tilt we all know and love turned up again, he hadnt misbehaved the last twice but does have previous so it wasnt too much of a shock to see him dig his heels in at the start, this left Benny Be Good to lead all the way and win with a few pounds in hand from Saviero. Diklars Oscar will be a very short price in the next and won really well last time, as ever in these races the penalty is harder to carry than you think and wouldnt want to be steaming in at 4/7. Much rather back Aint She The Lady and Last Of The Bunch EW. At Ludlow the first is interesting, Black Jack Blues is fav and again not happy about the price here, has had a couple of chances and looks frustrating, maybe the drop back in trip will work? I like Hidden Keel, he ran with promise last time and is a safe EW bet. The two newcomers are obvious dangers too. The last race is best left to Divy, has solid form and will be hard to beat. Cant wait for the inspection any longer as the prices on my others are going fast! Re: NH Novice Watch 2009 Carlisle off. Fancied Last Of The Bunch a lot today. O'Regan never asked her a question last time. She could be way better than the 3rd she ran lto and the rating you've given her. Pitty, she would have liked the course today (the only course winner) and the fav was underpriced.

Re: NH Novice Watch 2009 First disappointing day for a while with Divvy running well below par, always handy but never looked happy. Benarctic won the race despite making several errors so is probably worth more than the bare form. In the first Black Jack Blues won easily, the drop in trip and better ground saw him in much better light, I have a strong feeling if he doesnt get it all his own way he wont reproduce this form, so beware of backing him if other front runners are in the field. Re: NH Novice Watch 2009 310 Huntingdon: 96 Sang Bleu, 96 Stars Du Grantis, 88 Bothy Class 2 race at Huntingdon but only 6 go to post and three in with a chance. Both Sang Bleu and Bothy carry penalties for their wins but Stars Du Grantis escapes as his only win was in a class 4, the other pair have won twice. Sang Bleu was all the rage on his debut, a very well regarded winner in France but was beaten after several mistakes and needs to win here to get the show back on the road. Bothy has been workmanlike in his two wins and this is a big step up in class while Stars Du Grantis won very easily on his debut but beat nothing special and could be anything. No Bet

Re: NH Novice Watch 2009 Round Up Bothy was a NR so it boiled down to a two horse race and as the ratings suggested there wasnt much between them at the line, Sang Bleu just got home despite again making a few errors, he looks a nice type byt really needs to improve his jumping if he is going to take on the best. The runner up also looks a nice prospect and lost nothing in defeat here. Quantitativeeasing is the odds on fav and has yet to come off the bridle, very impressive and probably worth a bit more than the bare rating. The Betchworth Kid will be no pushover, wants a good test of stamina and is improving. At Bangor the first sees Rackham Lerouge recieving weight from both My Shamwari and Tara Royal, I think that could be a deciding factor here as he bumped into a useful horse when gettiong beat on his debut. The last race is a very intriguing event with the mare Silver Kate looking to have found a nice opportunity, not as heavy as she likes but it will still take some getting and Bob N You could be the danger on his run behind Restless Harry last time, Be There In Five is progressive but hasnt convinced me just yet at this level. At Warwick we have the enigmatic Kennel Hill, on form he should bolt up but let us down badly when throwing the race away when given a similar task, trouble is the price is very tempting. The Newbury race looks a match between Tito Bustillo who is progressing nicely and Bellvano who has a big rep but was beaten last time by Menorah, that form may prove to be very good and will be hard to beat here. Re: NH Novice Watch 2009 Round Up Edge Of Town won by 10 lengths as expected, he didnt jump that well though and would be wary of backing him in a higher grade. Bellvano just got home from a couple of decent horses and the form looks pretty solid with Tito back in third. Paint The Clouds will pick up an ordinary event soon. At Warwick Kennel Hill was well backed and we all fell for it, he dug his heels in at the start and the money was lost, he will probably pop in at big odds before the season ends. Peveril went on to win in good style but not one of the stables stars. In the first there Henderson runs Dort Tranquille and is fav on his debut over hurdles and we have three in opposition with fair form. Secret Stash ran well at Ffos Las, Tzora was third to Gifted Leader and Full of Joy was given a quiet ride on his debut. In the other race there Kerada takes on Chilli Rose in a match, I quite liked the latters debut when second and she will like the better groun here. Kerada won well last time beating the useful Hellfire Club. At Exeter we have 4 races and Gifted Leader is fancied to atone for his defeat last time by Johnny Mullen, he ran a funny sort of race and this small field may not be his cup of tea, Maggio came down at the last when running well last time and Johnny Mullen will find this ground different to last time, the fav is Najaf who has good form in France. Glenwood Knight looks the cert of the day in the 3.35 while the Nicholls debutant Sunwise is a hot fav on his debut in the 4.40, Rock Cetic should be therabouts but two at a price worth looking at are Shes On The Case and Victors Serenade. In the last Moleskin should come back to form after getting bogged down last time and has Rebel Du Marquis and Wishful Thinking to beat. Re: NH Novice Watch 2009 Round Up 1 Winner, 4 seconds and a third, a day of what might have been. 3 races were taken by debutants which was no surprise, of the main bets Moleskin ran on late again after looking well beaten to snatch the EW money, the winner was very impressive. Maggio made two terrible mistakes which put him out the race but I think he could pick up a race in time. Najef won but wouldnt go overboard about the form. Tzora was well backed but was beaten early in the straight, seems he has done that on each run now and is worrying. I wasnt too convinced by Orzare last time, a mistake by the runner up that day made the win look better than it was in my book. Evening Sunset had been quite impressive before getting stuck in the mud last time, this will be much more suitable. The other race is a really poor affair with only Magasue standing out as a potential winner, had a few chances though so may not be one to wade in at short prices. At Catterick Empty Sky has a good chance if reproducing his last run, it was a really good effort and has Mister Wall Street to beat who is progressing but does need to step up here. Re: NH Novice Watch 2009 Round Up Empty Sky won nicely in the opener, leading throughout and kicked on in the straight, the stable companion in second showed improved form but this was a weak race. Orzare ran his best race yet when sprinting clear of the opposition although it has to be said it was a poor race but to win with a double penalty isnt easy. Evening Sunset has gone backwards since her two wins and may go handicapping now. Megasue finally got her head in front in the mares race but once again the form doesnt amount to much. Re: NH Novice Watch 2009 210 New: 90 Kingsdale Orion, 89 Colour Clash, 88 Shifting Gold 240 New: 78 Seedless, 70 Bollin Fiona, 64 Moscow Mischief Preview To be honest you would be hard pressed to find two moderate novice hurdles at one meeting like we have at Newcastle today, but its on and it gives us some pointers for the future. The first race we have Kingsdale Orion making a comeback over timber after a campaign on the AW, his form from over a year ago reads well here but you have to ask why he's not persued his hurdling career. Colour Clash is interesting, ran well behind Tara Royal and the form has been franked by the third that day while Tail Of The Bank ran in a decent race at Newbury last time and this will be easier. The second race in the absence of any real decent form may be best left to the useful point winner Catleen, he looks to have an ideal opportunity to kick off his hurdling career. Seedless probably has the best form but has since ran below par in a handicap. Bet 210 New: Colour Clash 0.50pts EW (7/1 VCBet Bog)
