- His form reads 2231, He won comfortably at Bath LTO on grade 5, he now steps up a class to class 4 and a decrease in trip of 1f which will suit. Timeteam will absolutely love the ground and will appreciate the step up in class and i think will certainly compete and be up there or there abouts

Goes well on fast going and has been running on soft. Good chance for it today and likely to be backed so take a price.

Re: Best bet of the day - Fri 29/08/08 Chester 2:55 Dabbers Ridge is a top performer on his day but really hasn't performed in his last 4 runs. That said...he has dropped to his lowest mark in sometime and...reeks of value at 20/1 if he runs his race. 20/1 E/W pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease.

Re: Best bet of the day - Fri 29/08/08 Sails 6.05 Derbaas 1 pt win Stayed on well on debut over 7f, form of that race quite good, winner ran well in group 2 and won listed race, whispering angel too has won since, then won at asc. when still green but quietly impressive, third second since but fourth has won and fifth ran good best horse very close when second. Clearly well thought of and extra furlong shouldnt really be a problem.

Re: Best bet of the day - Fri 29/08/08 2.10 Sandown - Mazzola - Win Consistant type who has already won a nursey of a 3 lb lower mark, so we know he's racing in a grade he's capable of winning in Has the dreaded number one draw over Sandown's 5F. All the papers and web-sites trot out the 'badly drawn' cliché so his price just lengthens. As we discovered on a thread the other night you actually make more money backing badly drawn horses at sandown's sprint course.......because they go off at wildly inflated odds. Anyway, this fellow is a front runner, has got the visor back on, stiff 5F will be OK as he's won over 6F, goes on any going. I expect he'll ping out and run on his own up the centre of the track or even go to the far side rail

Re: Best bet of the day - Fri 29/08/08 510 Chester : Thorny Mandate The trainer usually takes these races at this course and enters 4 this time. The best looks to be Thorny Mandate, has won over C/D and drops to a winning mark. Ignore the last run when didnt stay over 1m6f on softish ground, back on his favoured surface at the right trip and will be hard to beat here.

Re: Best bet of the day - Fri 29/08/08 4.50 Hamilton: Optical Illusion Returns to 6f today after disappointing last time over 7f. Ground conditions shouldn't pose any problems and looks value against the likes of Grazeon Gold on previous running over C&D last month. Finished 6th behind that horse after having luckless passage and every chance of gaining revenge today on 6lb better terms if getting a clear run. Currently around 10/1. WIN

Reasoning	This has got to be one of the best EW bet to nothing's there has been in a while. Although he hasnt been able to get his head in front, Richard Hannon's Special Reserve has finished placed in all but 1 of his runs, most of them just being beaten by a narrow margin. Due to all these 2nds, he goes off at a huge 11/2 with a couple of bookies, meaning all that is needed is a place to make a profit. H keeps running good races in defeat and because he is still a maiden, he is not getting punished for these runs. he has plenty of experience on his side and he looked as if he was eventually going to get off the mark last time, but was just caught close home. the drop down in trip should suit and he looks a stonking EW bet, as he has a good chance of winning and should be almost certain to place.
