The idea behind playing, winning AND showing it is supposed to have the opposite of embarassment, it is like a type of bravado, especially if you play a better hand off a pot. Meself I think it does take some getting used to (playing it and not folding), but it can only enhance your play, as it must be a good exercise in bluffing. Everyone folded to me and there were 4 players after me including the SB and BB. I had 72o. I raised up to 4000 (max bet would have been 4200, but I reckon it's a better bluff if you don't raise max). Everyone folded, I showed my 72o and got an applause! About 2 or 3 months ago, I played at the Broadway in Birmingham. Got 74o in mid position. Everyone before me folded, was sooooooooo tempted to raise, but there were a couple of good players behind me and big stacks too. I bottled and folded. Flop came x74. 4th brought another 7. Pig-sick comes to mind! :puke I think it is much easier to do in live games; I really struggle to get people who fish off pots online. I have to have a good hand to do that. Having said that, i agree with Mr V - it's easy to win when you hit the cards, it's the bluff that really counts. Unfortunately I'm not going to be in that position because I always set my settings to always fold, win or lose. No point in giving my opponents more bullets to fire; they already have enough.
