JCtips
Re: UEFA CUP Wed 19th and Thurs 20th Dec My picks for tomorrow: Braga-Red Star Belgrade Braga is a good team, plays at home and surely needs to win in order to make it to the next round. Still, even though I think they're the favourites for tomorrow I also think they're being clearly overrated here (probably because the "public" money is on them to win). Red Star is a decent team and for some reason they just couldn't get the results in the UEFA Cup. Portuguese midfielder Lucas who plays for Red Star said they have to show some pride tomorrow and are not travelling to Portugal to go sightseeing. My pick: away +1.5 AH (Asian Handicap); Getafe-Anderlecht Getafe has 4 home wins (including a 2-0 against Barcelona) and only 1 home loss in "la Liga". They are also 2nd in their group with 6 points (2 away wins and 1 "upset" home loss to Hapoel). Anderlecht are currently 7th in the Belgium league, with 3 draws and 3 losses when playing away from home. They are 3rd in the group on 5 points but IMO seem too weak away from home to get anything from this game. My pick: home win; Panionios-Bordeaux Panionios are 7th in the Greek league and have a 1-1-1 record in their group with a 0-3 home loss to Galatasaray in their only home game so far. Bordeaux is a better side IMO, they're 3rd in the French league and 1st in this UEFA Cup group with 3 victories in 3 games. In Round 1 (just before this Group stage) of the UEFA Cup, Panionios beat Sochaux away 0-2 and lost at home 0-1...well, if Sochaux (they sit at the bottom of the French league this season) can win away to Panionios, Bordeaux can surely, at least, keep it close... My pick: away 0.5AH/+1AH; Good luck! JC

Game setting up like AC Milan/Celtic. Just wondering, if Anderlecht were to win that game and Hapoel Tel Aviv wins theirs, does that mean Getafe are knocked out level on points with Hapoel? What makes the game in Greece even more riskier is that it will be monitored very closely first because of its importance in the group, and second - it was a Panionis' game in 2004 vs Dinamo Tbilisi that started the first UEFA investigation for game-fixing. Losing at HT 0-1, the Greeks won 5-2, which was exactly the CS massive money were placed with different bookies on during the break. McFly
Re: UEFA CUP Wed 19th and Thurs 20th Dec I think there's some value on FC Zürich to beat Leverkusen tonight (@2.88 for the home win). The guests are weakened by the outs of keeper Adler, Vidal, Schneider and possibly Barbarez; besides, as good as the whole first choice defence will be rested (Friedrich, Haggui, Castro). The Zürich key players Chikhaoui and Raffael will play but maybe someone can give some info in which shape the host is, I read they just defeated to Thun last weekend. Both teams are yet in next round, possibly the home advantage will play an important role so.
Alcoholic
UEFA CUP Wed 19th and Thurs 20th Dec Bayern and Braga both need to win to Qualify otherwise they rely on results. No disrespect to Aris, but i think Bayern should progress, and a draw could see them go out of the competition. Braga should beat Crvena Zvezda quite easily who have 0 Points and FA to play for. 2 Teams playing weaker opposition at home to go through. Should be a formality. Bayern, Braga Double 1.

Agree, probably wrong on that game, but remember well there was an investigation. As of my pick tonight I fancy Panionis to win, but every game Bordeaux played in this cup went Over, in the French league this seasons they go Over in many games, so I see no reason to change my bet until they prove me wrong. If the guests come out with a really weakened team, well then :hope the Greeks score more often :D Good luck

allthethings
Re: UEFA CUP Wed 19th and Thurs 20th Dec Soccer - 514 Aalborg +325 for Game Soccer - Draw (Hapoel Tel Aviv vs Aalborg) +245 for Game Soccer - 520 Spartak Moscow +160 for Game Soccer - Draw (Toulouse vs Spartak Moscow) +215 for Game Soccer - 522 Zurich +180 for Game Soccer - Draw (Zurich vs Leverkusen) +215 for Game Amounts for all three games are 1 unit for the win, 1/2 unit for the draw. In the first game, Tel Aviv advance with a win and if Anderlecht loses at Getafe. Getafe would like to win because they would win the group in that case, but they advance with a draw as well, a situation that would knock Tel Aviv out regardless of their result. Aalborg have nothing to play for, having finished last...and yet they have played with a nothing to lose attitude that has had them in all their games. Tel Aviv is dead last in its league with a 1-3-9 record, and even though Aalborg's season ended a while ago, they finished first in a competitive league. Good odds for a possible upset. Spartak Moscow travel to Toulouse having already advanced and sitting at the top of Group E. Toulouse have zero points. Moscow have more motivation to win the group than Toulouse have motivation to gain something from UEFA... this is really a bet for value on the team that actually has something to gain even if they'll play some part-timers. Zurich and Bayer Leverkusen sit one point behind Spartak, and both have advanced. If Spartak wins, it is better for both these teams to lose (Zurich holds a one-goal advantage in the tiebeaker). If Spartak loses or draws, this game determines who finishes at the top of the group. Now, the games go on simultaneously, so it's not like teams can plan out what to do in advance. But see what happens if Spartak jump out ahead... As for these two teams, Zurich have the home field and have a full squad to choose from, while Leverkusen left many regulars at home...reports indicate they don't care as much as the Swiss. Will post tomorrow if i get time but this is a high stakes bet for me. We will be putting out fringe players for this match, because although we are on an unbeaten 12 match run, this game is simply not important as we have qualified already as group winners. With the hectic xmas period this will give the chance for key players (the likes of Yakuba, Cahill, Arteta, Yobo and more) to be rested. :ok

Hi, ATT, I am on your tips even though I don't see your posts often now. 2-1 in 39' I say ''that would do me'', shame the game at Stamford Bridge is crap, dead boring............. Take care and good luck :nana P.S. Maybe it is worth checking the stats on how many games Bordeaux won or drew this season both domestically and in the Euro cups being down at HT. 2-3 FT today...:)
My pick: away +1.5 AH (Asian Handicap); lost Getafe-Anderlecht Getafe has 4 home wins (including a 2-0 against Barcelona) and only 1 home loss in "la Liga". My pick: home win; won Panionios-Bordeaux Panionios are 7th in the Greek league and have a 1-1-1 record in their group with a 0-3 home loss to Galatasaray in their only home game so far. My pick: away 0.5AH/+1AH; won Good luck! JC Another good day :ok! JC

allthethings
BOL all Well...lost a quarter of a unit. Aalborg 3-1 at +325 was the winner
