As for the 7-fold, I've tinkered further, and only teams rating 20 or higher will be considered from now on. Only if we dont not have enough teams will we go down further in 5 ratings-point increments. When I compiled the ratings, I was hoping that at least one of the teams would be priced at 1/2 and therefore get exlcluded..... but hey, these 3 teams served us well in their involvement in our recents bets, let's hope thet can do it again. My bet is placed. :hope

Re: Fleet's Football Trebles 2007-08 Week by week, the ratings in this method take account of the opposition's data & every team in a division is relative to each other. That's why it is different to what was the public method, although there are other differences too. It is my own creation & I intend to keep it that way. Time for bed, nights this week & back in at 6pm.

Aldershot are now 9/20, Salisbury 1/2 with bet365 - maybe there's an army of bets flooding in :lol..... if they had been those odds yesterday morning, they would have been excluded.:unsure

:lol Joking aside' date=' we all know that the winning run [b']will end. Just not this weekend I hope. :hope Edit: Aldershot now 2/5, Salisbury 4/9 @ bet365, betfred site is down, prices still available on betfred's printed coupon apparently.

Re: Fleet's Football Trebles 2007-08 GODDAM ALDERSHOT!!! :( 2-0 up, 3-3 at the minute :@ Some strange results for home teams this week as we stand. Looks like my treble has shot it as well, Weymouth getting hammered by Stafford, unthinkable. I thought Hamilton were a shoe in this week, especially on their plastic pitch against Livingston. Oh well, onwards to midweek.

But hey, the trebles are in profit and will be for a few months yet, even if we dont pick up any wins. Some weird results have dampened some ratings all over the place, and the bias towards the Blue Square Prem1er continues due to more games being played. That will address itself within the ratings in the next couple of weeks, although I can't tell you why. That will address itself within the ratings in the next couple of weeks' date=' although I can't tell you why.[/quote'] Well I have been tinkering, only slightly, and have add in some recent form factors to everything. Only teams ahead of the away team on long term & short term form will be considered, and then the totals calculated at that point will be added together. This will make ratings have higher totals, but it will also make the teams a wider spread within those figures, so we can see how much stronger one team is fancied than another. This does mean teams slightly ahead on both counts may make the shortlist in preference to teams that are ahead longterm but behind on shortterm form, but the ratings on both would be so low that they wouldnt make the bets anyway, I think. I am taking 60 at the minimum requirement for the 7-fold bets. Seeing as I compile ratings all the way down to Ryman / Unibond / Southern (BG) Premier Leagues for my 'canadian of trebles' thread, I am starting to become tempted to include these in the trebles thread too. 14 leagues to find a treble.....or is this a step too far? You've all got until tomorrow night to influence me.

Re: Fleet's Football Trebles 2007-08 I'd review the maximum possible Fleet as I'm sure your trebles system would benefit from inclusion of the highest possible rated sides - e.g. would it have been a winning treble yesterday with Fleetwood Town, Aldershot & Watford? Does an increased variance within the ratings for teams from lower divisions occur if key players are missing through injury, suspension, etc (or other factors)? Does this make a bigger difference than in higher divisions?

Here, however, are the ratings for all 14 divisions: 167 Gateshead 2/5 133 MK Dons 4/7 131 Arsenal 1/6 111 Southport 2/5 106 Rugby Town 8/11 103 Brackley Town 4/6 102 Workington 4/6 101 Leeds Utd 8/13 101 Man Utd 1/7 100 East Fife 1/3 97 Hereford 11/10 96 Chesterfield 8/13 94 Liverpool 1/2 90 Boreham Wood 4/7 73 Ross County 8/15 69 Horsham 8/15 67 Lewes 4/7 67 Weymouth 4/7 64 Accrington 10/11 60 Bishops Stortford 4/5 So we're either talking (shown before checking for best odds) 133 MK Dons 4/7 101 Leeds Utd 8/13 96 Chesterfield 8/13 or 133 MK Dons 4/7 106 Rugby Town 8/11 103 Brackley Town 4/6 A dilemma, but without the extra teams there are only 7 teams that qualify for the 7-fold. One answer could be to only include them in the 7-fold? There's would certainly be more value to be had with the inclusion of the extra leagues. Providing we still get winning teams, of course. The one downside is not as many bookies publish odds for all these sides.
