Every Monday and Wednesday throughout the month there will be a round of the premier League. Each round has a $3 buy-in and as well as paying out as a regular multi table tourney the top 20 players will also win league points (see below for structure). Your best 3 points finishes throughout the month count to your final score and at the end of the month there is a $5000 prize pot to be paid to the top finishers! Each first place will win a seat to a live poker event and in December a seat to the European Poker Classic in London in March 2007 will be awarded to top spot. The £1500 main event is played over 4 days so will be a fantastic experience of real pro tournament play. Best of luck to all! Please Note; Counted Scores is how many points finishes are included in the total. If a player already has 3 points finishes they can still improve on their total by scoring more than their 4th highest score in a future round. Previous Winners Rules
  1. The premier league is only open to players from the UK and Ireland.
  2. The prize pool for each round will be paid out under standard MTT payout structure.
  3. Poker League points will be awarded to the top 20 finishers in each round.
  4. Each player�s top 4 finishes from throughout the month will be added up to calculate their final score.
  5. The monthly cash prizes for top 20 finishers will be paid in to their accounts within 48 hours of the final tournament of the month.
  6. The live tournament 1st prize cannot be exchanged for a cash prize.
  7. Monthly winners playing in live events must wear sponsored clothing and adhere to all casino rules and regulations while playing.
  8. In the event of a tie for first place the winner will be decided on the number of first places, then seconds, and so on. If there is still no difference then both players shall be sent to the live event. For all other ties prize money will be split.

Re: Paradise Poker (SO) Champions League December Dont know what the rest of you think but as far as I can see reducing scoring games to 3 ruins the whole idea of it being a league format. Been thinking the last couple of months that the blind structure has been wrong too with it being common place for no one to have 10 bb's after an hour and a half( having said that I was 4th and 2nd during those 2 months) Reducing the qualifying scores makes it into even more of a crap shoot IMHO

What if you have accounts for both? Also, where are they, just looked on paradise and cannot see the games?
If you have accounts at both, then you can play in both :ok (Joe has deliberately set them to different nights so they don't clash, to allow this :ok) I haven't looked for them in Paradise yet ...... so long as you are logging in with your SO account, I'm sure you'll find it no problem :ok

I think that it is just a transitional step - it's only 2 nights a week now to allow them to run two tourneys.....

So is there 2 seperate leagues one on paradise and one at boss? And is the Boss one the same as usal then? Cant see details of it anywere but the dates and times are up in the boss lobby.
Yes - 2 sets of leagues with 2 sets of prizes...... I think the boss one will be down to 2 nights a week (and I would guess from that it will be best 3 results too) I haven't seen the details on the boss site either - only seem able to find Paradise info......

Because Joe Legge asks me to switch to Paradise instead of playing SO/Boss... and then I can not enter Champs League because I am not British... ...that seems a bit strange to me... And it has nothing to do with bitching... Most of my "poker-time" has been at SO/Boss... and all I have been told is that Paradise will be running all the same stuff so no problem in switching... (apart from the fact that I am not British) To sum it up... I feel ripped off... for being told "everything will be the same"

No worries, Damo :ok I haven't tried registering at all, only read that it was UK players only... maybe I am allowed to reg, but won't be able to receive prizes. I just think it is a stupid rule... :wall :loon Makes no sense to me at all to separate players like that! ...Scandinavians, UK people, Hungarians or where ever people are from...

I'll keep the usual league table for Boss and Dan Dan is going to do a Paradise one so there will be a separate table on each thread. :ok

Rules Each player�s top 4 finishes from throughout the month will be added up to calculate their final score.
Well I'm confused - is it 3 or 4 ? :unsure Have set the table up assuming 3 count and we can change it if it does turn out to be 4.

Re: Paradise Poker (SO) Champions League December Sorry about the confusion. 1. Top 3 this month. When League soley on Paradise it will match the Boss Champs league format. 2. All SportingOdds eleigible. UK only was is supposed to be just in the Paradise t+c's. 3. I expect there will be very low numbers this month so a very good chance to win an easy seat to a very good comp. Apologise for so many site errors at the moment, hopefully the chaos will soon subside!! Joe
