FleetFanatic
Re: Fleet's UK Footie Trebles..... C'est la vie. And now for an announcement: The introduction of the lower non-league clubs has brought some frustrations to a few, as apparent by a few pm's explaining how they can't bet on them at the bookies they use. Some also want the old method used (as it's about this time last year we started all of this!) Taking both these points on board, I will be reverting back to Premiership to conference, and calculating matches using both the old and new methods. We will hopefully get 2 slightly different trebles each time (although some weeks they may end up the same!) and 2 x 7-folds should come up with some variations. Bedlam
Re: Fleet's UK Footie Trebles..... How about a 3rd treble using the 3 highest rated clubs common with both old & new selection criteria? added later: No, the 3rd treble would usually mirror one of the others.Forget it! merlin
Re: Fleet's UK Footie Trebles..... .... seems to me that both trebles are entirely dependent on two thirds of each treble being successful, also gives a 66.67% chance of failure in each case.Maybe there is a case for a couple of the excluded teams to be included whilst appreciating that the odds are somewhat lower. FleetFanatic
Re: Fleet's UK Footie Trebles..... Or people can choose the treble of their preference? FleetFanatic
Re: Fleet's UK Footie Trebles..... Merlin, it wasn't aimed at you, to be honest, more a public reply to a pm from somebody about the way I have chopped and changed things throughout this season. The problem I've had is that last season, I started this on Jan 16th, so I didn't know what to expect this season when starting in August. I'm of the opinion right now that both methods should run - I suspect that the newer method is better for the 1st half of a season but we will find out about the latter half here on in..... .....people can follow both or one or none. FleetFanatic
Re: Fleet's UK Footie Trebles..... Indeed. The newer method takes more account of the away team's form.
