I ask as I used to try my hand every now and then and when I did win, it was a pitance! I realise that ass its a placepot, you share the winnings but this is my point - are placepots really worth it? I only bet on the horses as a bit of interest every now and then but am intrigued as to people's betting plans. Do any of you increase your stakes on the the placepot until you win or do you always use flat stakes? Has anyone looked into any statistical patterns for placepots - I always used to scrap mine if I had four horses from the same numbered trap in one placepot - I appreciate that there could be a lot more depth applied to this mind! If your going for Fav's then whilst its likely to come in for you the placepots will be poor due to the number of winning tickets. This time of year Im just putting about 1£ or 2£ per placepot so even if its a poor payout Im still in profit. I havent got any stake/return records but I know the week I won a few placepots I was £200 up in that week. All in all i think Im about even? In the new year I might just keep a record of total outlay and returns to see what profit if any there is. onwards.. Ive come up witha new plan of picking the horses which I will explain if todays do well. Ive done my own selections which are: Ling: 1 2 7 Fav 1 6 Taunton:3 3 1 8 6 6,7 £1.00 line and 50p x2 line. total outlay £2.00. right heres my new idea placepot selection Ive not put money on this as its a papertest.
