Manchester City vs PSG

Although they trailed at halftime in Paris, Manchester City scored twice to turn around the result and secure a massive 2:1 victory. The hosts are just one step away from officially winning the Premier League, and they can focus entirely on the Champions League campaign. Pep Guardiola’s side has been successful against Crystal Palace on the road last weekend and booked a 2:0 win. The Citizens got back on the winning track after winning four times in a row in all competitions. Phil Foden and the lads are doing very well in the final third, while their defense is more disciplined than ever. Manchester City has never been closer to the finals, and they are in an excellent position to win this tie.

On the other hand, PSG still sits in 2nd place in Ligue 1, and efforts on the domestic stage haven’t been enough to clinch the title yet. Mauricio Pochettino mixed the cards against Lens last weekend, but the defending French champions managed to secure a 2:1 win over Lens. The away side is still one point behind Lille, and the title race will be fascinating in the upcoming four rounds. PSG cheaply lost the home advantage in the first leg against City and will need to put another perfect away performance. The visitors have celebrated ten times in a row when playing at away grounds in all competitions. Their displays on Camp Nou and Allianz Arena led them through the semi-finals, and PSG again needs to score at least twice to get back into the tie. However, Kylian Mbappe is still doubtful for this clash, and his potential absence would be a big kick in the teeth for the French side. Idrissa Gueye will also be sidelined for this game due to being sent off in the first leg clash.

Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction

It is going to be another exciting clash, and although Manchester City is in a better position, nobody should underestimate PSG. However, we believe the hosts won’t get complacent, and they will celebrate another victory against the French champions.

Goals Market Prediction

Despite Manchester City’s rock-solid defense throughout the season, PSG scored in each of their previous 13 outings. We expect to see a great battle and don’t think either side will keep the clean sheet.

Manchester City

They are in form, getting a four-match winning streak in various Leagues and Tournament. They rank the top in English Premier League now with 13 points lead, which puts them in an almost unassailable position. And they are stress-free as they get a 2-1 victory from PSG in last round.

Paris Saint Germain (PSG)

Kylian Mbappe Lottin who has scored 37 goals and made 10 assists for PSG this season, is their key to success. Whether PSG will play well depends on his state. But PSG still struggle for the title of France Ligue1 as they lack one point to rank the first.

Verdict:

Manchester City have never been defeated by PSG in past head-to-head clashes, which take the upper hand. And Manchester City have home advantage. It is believed that Manchester City are going to win in upcoming game.

Manchester City vs PSG

It's arguably the biggest game in the history of Manchester City coming up on Tuesday night at 8pm BST when they play PSG in the second leg of their Champions League Semi-Final at the Etihad Stadium. The Premier League leaders have a 2-1 advantage from the first leg with those two precious away goals meaning the pressure is on the French side to come and score.

Manchester City are so close to adding the Premier League trophy to the EFL Cup they won last weekend. The Citizens are 13 points clear of 2nd placed Manchester United with their city rivals having 5 league games to play. One more win for City or a defeat for United will gift the title to the blue side of Manchester. On top of that, Pep Guardiola's men stand on the brink of their first ever Champions League Final with a chance to complete a treble. The Citizens are unbeaten in all four previous meetings with PSG. The team have also recorded 6 wins in a row in the Champions League and a victory here will break the record for most games won in a row in this competition by an English club. History weighs on the shoulders of these players because if they do reach this year's final then it'll be the first time in 51 years that they have qualified for a major European club competition final with the last one being the 1970 Cup Winners' Cup against Gornik Zabrze.

PSG have it all to do here needing to score at least two goals to stand any chance of qualification to the final. Mauricio Pochettino may well even have to do it without top striker Kylian Mbappe who missed the weekend victory over Lens in Ligue 1 with a calf injury. The Frenchman has scored 37 goals in 43 appearances across all competitions this season including bagging 8 goals in 10 Champions League matches. The French side do have experience of over-turning a 2-1 first leg deficit in this competition having done the same against Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund in the last 16 of last year's competition. If there is one team you feel can get at least two goals needed as is the case here then it would be this PSG team.

All things considered, we're looking at a potential barn stormer here. How does Pep approach this one? Does he look at it and think "PSG need to score two to take an advantage so we'll set up to defend a clean sheet" or does he think "let's go for the jugular at tear them apart as they try to come at us"? It'll be a fascinating watch and whatever the two managers decide to go for tactically I have no doubt we'll be thoroughly entertained. I really hope Mbappe plays but even if he does you have to question his fitness levels. This is Manchester City's to lose and I don't think they will.

No Mbappe for PSG which certainly helps City's cause. Icardi in his place and may be slightly underestimated by the markets. 18 points on him to score at 4.3 on BF.

Also laid 45+ bookings points at evens for 30 points. Obviously risky in the context of a finely poised semi final second leg but very strong on ref Kuiper's stats. If the cards flow then so be it; I'll take the hit.

Chelsea vs Real Madrid

The home side heads to this match after a confident 2:0 victory over Fulham in the Premier League last weekend. Easy three points keep Chelsea in the top four, denying West Ham’s efforts to level up with them. Kai Havertz’s brace was enough for the Blues to seal the win and provide a boost of confidence ahead of the crucial game against Real Madrid. It has been a while since Thomas Tuchel’s side hasn’t scored more than once in the game, and they managed to improve their attacking record in the last match. On the other hand, defese is still very disciplined, as this was their fourth time in the previous five games to keep the clean sheet. Chelsea lost only once in the Champions League campaign, but the 1:0 defeat against Porto didn’t hurt them much as they progressed to the semi-finals. The Blues need another rock-solid defending to make the decisive step to the finals.

Real Madrid also comes from a 2:0 win over Osasuna, but their match was far from easy compared to Chelsea’s one. They needed to fight hard for three points to remain in the title race, and two goals in the last 15 minutes brought them a vital win. Los Blancos are still leveled with Barcelona in 2nd place and two points behind Atletico Madrid. Zinedine Zidane’s side hasn’t been too convincing lately, as they celebrated just twice on the previous six occasions in all competitions. The away side needs to score at Stamford Bridge to keep their chances of progressing to the finals alive, and all eyes will be pointed to Karim Benzema, who is a proven match-winner for the Spanish side. Real Madrid has been excellent in the back lately since the visitors conceded just once in the previous six games. Another encouragement for the away side is a potential comeback of their skipper Sergio Ramos.

Full-Time Winner Odds & Prediction

Although Chelsea has a slight advantage and doesn’t need to chase the result, both sides have equal chances of progressing further. It is going to be a tight battle, and we can see this match going into the extra time.

Goals Market Prediction

Both teams have been rock-solid in the backline lately, and we don’t expect them to give up on their style. We’ll unlikely see more than two goals in this one, and this should be another low-scoring match.

Real Madrid can not rely on their defense, although they are exhausted from absences to pave the way for the Champions League final, as they just have to go to London for goals to close their position. Such a strategy could leave Zidane's players vulnerable to Chelsea's rhythm in counterattacks, but the Blues are so good at defense, so we can predict a marginal match, where it will be judged again in detail. I will go with the few goals.

Chelsea vs Real Madrid

The second Champions League Semi-Final second leg is taking place on Wednesday night with Premier League side Chelsea hosting La Liga reigning champions Real Madrid in an 8pm BST kick-off at Stamford Bridge. Manchester City await the winners in the final and with the tie finely poised at 1-1 after the first leg there is the potential for anything to happen.

Chelsea are on course to pull off a very pleasing season. The team in currently in pole position to take that final Champions League qualification spot in the league and have an FA Cup Final date with Leicester later this month. Head coach Thomas Tuchel is also just 90 minutes away from leading the Blues to their first Champions League Final since 2012. The London club are now unbeaten against Real Madrid in each of their 4 meetings. When you consider that Tuchel himself not only has a decent record against the Spanish side but he has only ever lost 4 of his 18 home games managed in this competition then you can understand why the Chelsea fans are buzzing for this one. Chelsea have also qualified from 5 of their last 7 Champions League knockout ties when they've avoided defeat in the first leg.

Real Madrid will come into this game knowing they have their captain Sergio Ramos back available to play. The Spanish capital city side are aiming to win their 14th Champions League/ European Cup trophy. Head coach Zinedine Zidane has a perfect record of 3 wins in 3 Champions League Semi-Final ties. If he managed it a fourth time then he would equal the record set by Sir Alex Ferguson, Marcello Lippi, and Carlo Ancelotti. Los Blancos also have a chance to extend their competition-record of 16 appearances in a Champions League or European Cup Final. If you're looking for any anytime scorer bet then maybe you'll want to see history made. Striker Karim Benzema has scored 71 goals in the Champions League and will move to become the 4th highest scorer in the competition's history behind Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Robert Lewandowski.

It's no surprise that there is a lot of hype around this game. There is a lot at stake for both clubs but you have to say that the pressure is certainly more on Real Madrid than Chelsea. The sheer fact that Chelsea are even at this stage of the competition given how inconsistent they were when Tuchel took over is an achievement in itself. I do feel this is a game that Chelsea will win though. Real Madrid just didn't look like they knew how to handle Chelsea's approach in the first leg and were lucky to come away with a draw in tact. If they don't have that same luck or an improved counter for Chelsea's tactics then this could be an easy win for the West Londoners.
