Would it be fair to observe that your lay bets breach your max stakes rule, i.e. you are risking more than £22? I think you should review the rule or stick to it. Your risk on the United lay is over 50% above your limit.

10 days ago I changed my stop loss so I could play all or nothing today.
I made some mistakes in this thread, which put the bank at -£350.
I played live tennis when I shouldn't have, I played some big bets ( £90 ). These are mistakes that are making me lose money, and all I can think about is getting back to +£0.00.
But it will be very difficult if I play £10-£20. I can't play thinking about my mistakes that made me lose the thread.
So, I decided to play one bet with a big stake in order to start again properly and seriously, put back a limit loss, play maximum two bets per day and erase my mistakes without forgetting them.

I want to get back to +£0.00, so I'm going to play one bet out of order.
I won't comment on them, whether they win or lose.

See you tomorrow ??

I'm lost for words. I guess that makes my query about your lay bets exceeding your maximum risk somewhat academic.

It was barely a month ago that I said the following in your previous thread:

"To be honest, and without wishing to sound harsh, what I'd like you to do is set out the approach and stick to it for, say, at least 3 months. I wish you well but your track record doesn't bode well for this thread still to be running, on the recently stated terms, come the start of June. Hopefully a bit of blunt but fair criticism will spur you on to make me eat my words!"

It's fair to say that my words are still in the larder! :)

Some suggestions, all genuinely meant. I'd do one of these things rather than carry on as you are.

  1. Stop betting and find another hobby. I'm far from convinced that it's the right pastime for you on all the available evidence (i.e. what you've posted on here across a variety of threads).

  2. Carry on betting as you see fit but stop posting on here. It seems to be a waste of time and energy (in terms of setting out rules and abjectly failing to follow them) and can only be adding to the pressure that you are feeling when the performance is poor.

  3. Carry on betting and posting but just post your bets whatever the stake is and track the performance. Drop all the nonsense about banks and staking approaches because it's entirely academic when you are unable to stick to it. As @waggy does, just post the selections and track the profit/loss. You've asked for our help in keeping you on track on more than one occasion and it's pretty apparent it's an impossible task.

So that's it!
Rajasthan played a big game and could have won but no.
I tried and failed. I made too many mistakes , but I will think about it ?

I will now stop for 3-4 months. Maybe till September to really rest and not to beat anymore.
That will be the best thing I can do.

Thanks for your advice

  • 2 weeks later...

Hello the forum.

For a week I bet with small bets, and a big selection, without tennis, without live.
I put big limits on Betfair
I like to post here a lot and I'm thinking of starting a thread in May.

I know I have failed in all my threads because of lack of discipline.
I hope I can control myself and continue.
