StevieDay1983 Posted December 23, 2019 Author Share Posted December 23, 2019 PAOK vs Atromitos The Greek Super League preview for this week is a Monday afternoon kick-off between PAOK and Atromitos that starts at 4pm GMT from the Toumba Stadium. As the home side look to continue to put the pressure on title rivals Olympiakos by getting the win here and moving top of the table, the away side will want to avoid defeat to prevent a further slip away from the Championship round qualification spots. PAOK are enjoying a cracking season under Abel Ferreira. The club will go top of the table heading into Christmas if they manage to get the victory in this game. They come into this game knowing that they are undefeated on home turf in the league with 5 wins and 2 draws. The team is also undefeated in their league campaign so it's no surprise that they come into this game as heavy favourites to win, especially off the back of three clean sheet wins in a row. Atromitos will want to try and avoid a hammering here to prevent damage to their team morale. Head coach Savvas Pantelidis's men are 9th in the table but could potentially move up to 5th in the table with a win. Only 2 wins have come in their 7 away league matches this season but they have proving a tough side to break down on their travels with only a -3 goal difference away from home. Three games undefeated in the league gives their fans optimism coming into this game. I have to back the home side in this one but I think it'll be a tight game. I see the value being in another clean sheet win for PAOK because Atromitos have made themselves a solid team that are tough to break down. You can see why PAOK are backed heavily to win with their superb record this season. We are looking at the potential league champions in this one.
