Little Nuggets - May

Beverley

Trainer Luca Cumani is a rare visitor to Beverley and has had just 9 runners at the track in the last five years.

He has had a 33% strike rate with those runners so todays sole runner is worth keeping an eye on.

Further more has employed the services of a rider who knows the track very well, Danny Tudhope.

Brighton

Trainer Paul Cole has a cracking record at Brighton over the last 5 years, showing a 24pt level stakes profit.

He has had 10 winners from 34 runners and leads the trainers table.

Tomorrow (Wed) he has just one horse entered so well worth a second look.

Fakenham

Henry Daly has a good record at this quirky track with 5 winners out of his 11 runners over the last 5 years.

The trainer had two winners yesterday at Stratford and has just one runner at Fakenham on Tuesday

Ayr

Interesting to note that at Ayr the favourites perform very well in non-handicaps and very badly in handicaps.

42% in non-handicaps over 5 years
23% in Handicaps over 5 years

Ludlow

Its a long way from Somerset up to Ludlow but trainer Philip Hobbs has plenty of runners at the track and has a fair bit of success. He sits just behind Nicky Henderson in the Ludlow trainers stats with 28 winners from 113 runners over the last 5 years.

He has two runners on Sunday, one Richard Johnson rides and the other one has a 7lb claimer on top.

3.00: Beau Du Brazais (S.Houlihan)
3.30: Wishful Dreaming (R.Johnson)

Newmarket 8.00 Rinaria (8/1 bv)

The form of this filly's last time out win at Beverley doesn't look up to much, but Karle Burke has chosen to send her all the way down to headquarters for a £4000 handicap, which is right at the end of the day.  He has also booked Jordan Vaughan to partner her and the combination has a good record in handicaps here at newmarket, with their 6 runners todate resulting in 3 winners and a place for a win and place profit of £20.75 and £26.09 respectively

Hamilton 8.40 Baron Run e/w (20/1 sj)

This fellow seems a big price, he has won 5 times in his career all of which has been here at hamilton in class 3 or below over 6f of gd, gd/sft or gd/frm ground; conditions of todays race.  In fact his record over these conditions reads R7 W5 U2

Goodwood

Trainer Willie Haggas is the top trainer at Goodwood over the last 5 years having had 18 winners from 78 runners.

A strike rate of 23% and shows a profit to level stakes.

The interesting thing today is that Haggas has 12 runners going to post up and down the country but only one is heading for Goodwood.

Newton Abbot

Emma Lavelle doesn't have too many runners down this neck of the woods but over the last five years she has made a very healthy profit of 61pts to level stakes.

She has had 8 winners from just 22 runners and a very good S/R of 36%

One runner tomorrow:
