Re: Norway - Tippeligaen (12-13 May) Mjondalen - Rosenborg This is a proper David vs Goliath contest, one which I think RBK should win fairly comfortably. They have been in superb form this season, winning all but one of their games so far. It seems they are really intent to regain the Tippeligaen crown, confidence and morale appears to be really high. The only real concern for them ahead of this fixture is the loss of CB Stefan Strandberg to injury. It must also be remembered that Tore Reginiussen is pretty much out for the whole season, so their first choice pairing at the back is completely out of action here. It shouldn't make too much of a difference though because they have such strength in the rest of their team, that they should easily have way too much for Mjondalen. I have to give the newly promoted team some credit. They fight hard for everything and have already picked up far more points than I expected them to at this stage of the season. To come from 1-3 down and beat Tromso 4-3 on Saturday was one hell of a result, although now coming down off such an emotional high might not be the such great news for them. It is often difficult to perform so well following a high energy/mentally draining match like that, especially when you’re playing a team like RBK. They have a very small squad that has already been injury ravaged and I struggle to see how they cope in this Tuesday fixture. The last time they played midweek, Lillestrom easily beat them 4-1 and you could tell in the 2nd half they were desperately struggling to keep pace. I don’t expect RBK to go mad here. They themselves have admitted to ‘taking it easy’ once they have a decent lead in any game. But at very least I think the visitors will win, and in truth it’s likely they take victory by more than one goal. An asian handicap of -1 seems like a safe bet to me. Prediction 1-3 or 0-3. Recommended bet: Rosenborg -1 (asian) @ 1.77 6/10

Re: Norway - Tippeligaen (12-13 May) 18:00 Tromsø- Vålerenga This game will be played @ Alfheim Stadion in artificial grass, while Vålerenga use natural grass at home. Bad start of Tippeligaen for newcomers Tromsø . They are in 15 th place with 4 points. At home are 0/1/2 goals 1:4 . Four defeats in a row include in Cup 2~1 againts Senja. Last round lost 4~3 againts Mjondalen when were winning in first half 1~3 .  Last mutual matches ended 2~2 in August 2013. Valerenga disappointed a lot these rounds, especially after lost at home 1~2 againts Aalesund. Lost also last round againts Stabaek 0~2 ,and now they are classified in 5th place with 11 points. Away are 1/2/0 goals 5:4. Defender N.Gunnarsson 6/2,midfielder H. Nilsen 6/0 and defender K. Wæhler 5/0 back in the squad and will be ready for the game. Tromso Imo have many problems in defend repart ,3 goals in second half against Mjondalen and this game will be so difficult. I see no reason why odds are dropping in favor of hosts .  Vålerenga to win 3.20 @Marathonbet 8/10 Good luck

Re: Norway - Tippeligaen (12-13 May) 18:00 Mjondalen - Rosenborg This game will be Isachsen stadion in artificial grass, while Rosenborg use natural grass at home! Mjondalen is in 10th place with 9 points.! At home they are 2/1/1 goals 7:8! After drew againts Odd 2-2 lost two games in a row againts Lillestrøm1-4 and Stabaek 1-0. In Nm Cup eliminate Ørn Horten after regular time 2-2! In last round won a game in limits over Tromso 4-3 ,even in 1st half were losing 1-3. Today have many missings : Key strikers E. Midtgarden 6/1 injured, M. Olsen 6/1 suspended ,V. Diomande 3/0 and defender M. Sundli 4/0 . No mutual matches. Rosenborg is in 1st place with 19 points. Away they are 3/0/0 goals 12:2. After drew 1-1 in second round againts Strømsgodset they won 5 games in a row include Cup games. Last one won 3-0 over Lillestrom at home in a good game especially in first half! Still out defender T. Reginiussen 1/0 and midfielder Morten Pedersen 0/0 while defender S. Strandberg 7/0 is in doubt but 80% is out!  No words to say about RBK these seven rounds and enthusiasm around the club is high so i think they will take another important victory .. Pick Rosenborg/Rosenborg 2.15 @ Marathonbet ! 8/10 Good Luck!

Re: Norway - Tippeligaen (12-13 May) Rosenborg go 2-0 up after 20 mins and lost 3-2. Pretty impossible how this can happen, I actually am lost for words. Sorry fellas but this is one of the biggest shocks I've known for some time. Nobody can predict this.

Re: Norway - Tippeligaen (12-13 May)

I went on Rosenburg win and bet CS 2-2 for a back up... last goal on the 91st minute!!:sad no need to be sorry. Thanks for your good posts as usual.
Just a freak result really. The chances of Mjondalen winning against RBK from 0-2 down are 500/1 or something. They just got complacent and then were rocked by what had happened.

Promotion enthusiasm can move mountains, as long as everyone believe...So Mjondalen play a good football and won,the first squad who beat Rosenborg this season.. They were focused in this game seriously dear Meatman

They were focused in this game seriously dear Meatman[/quote'] Credit to them yes, they played a good game. I am not quite sure how they are managing to do what they are going with such a low talent level and injuries. But sooner or later I would expect them to go on a long losing run. Well done with your Valerenga pick Lisandri. That really was quite simply an incredible match!

Re: Norway - Tippeligaen (12-13 May) 18:00 Lillestrøm -Molde This game will be played at Åråsen Stadion in natural grass ,while Molde use artificial grass at their venue! Lillestrom is in 13th place with 7 points ! At home they are 0/2/1 goals 2:4 ! After won 1-4 over Mjøndalen drew at home 1-1 againts Vålerenga and in NMCUp eliminate Eidsvold winning 0-3. LAst round after a tough game for them lost 3-0 againts Rosenborg .In that game especially in second half made a good attacking game . For today's game are missing :strikers F. Friday 5/3 ,M. Ofkir 2/0 ,defender S. Ringstad 6/0 and midfielder M. Lundemo 3/0 . Last mutual matches ended 3-2 in Molde's favor last season! Molde is in 4th place with 13 points! Away they are 1/1/1 goals 4:3 .After perfect win over Strømsgodset 3-1 shocked in that lost 2-1 againts Viking even were leading by Høiland goal..Anyway they won in NMCUP 0-2 over Træff and last round won 4-0 over Start! No important missigns for guests : Still out strikers F. Gulbrandsen 0/0 , J. Gatt 0/0 ,M. Bakenga 0/0 and defender M. Simonsen 0/0. I think Molde will win this game but i think host with score at least one goal Back in the squad after suspension is striker M. Fofana 6/1 and what i saw last game againts Rbk they play counter attack ,also Molde is more stronger in center of defence with Vegard Forren 6/0. My pick is Molde to win and both teams to score 3.12@ Stan James 8/10 Good Luck!

Re: Norway - Tippeligaen (12-13 May) Start - Bodo I’m going for an obvious bet here, although even I am wary that trends might change. Both teams are in really poor form and look especially vulnerable defensively. The amount of goals that both have conceded recently has been ridiculous. Start do have 8 points to their name but the last week hasn’t been kind to them - consecutive 4-0 defeats in the cup and league. This will be a more manageable fixture for them compared to Molde, but they couldn't be trusted with monopoly money IMO. Remarkably, Bodo can be trusted even less such has been their woeful recent performances. It might actually help them that coach JHH is missing for this game having back surgery, something needs to drastically change for this team. Bodo have claimed they will be ‘more defensive’ going forwards, but that is far easier said than done. It’s very hard to change the dynamics of any side suddenly and their natural instincts are to attack. I think it is likely that both teams are a bit more cautious compared to normal, but over 3.0 is still a bet I like. The best form of defence for both sides will remain attack, so the fixture should remain relatively open. Often in my experience when two poor teams play against each other, many goals tend to be scored because each side ‘fancies it’s chances’. As aforementioned, I am a little wary of a potential change in Bodo tactics, but I’m still willing to sake 4pts on this bet. Recommended bet: Over 3.0 Goals @ 1.85 4/10 Odd - Stromsgodset After a strong start to the season, Odd have dropped off form a bit. I’m not sure totally what’s happened, but not all seems right with them at the moment. They were worryingly poor against Sarpsborg a couple of weeks ago, and on Sunday were lucky to draw away at Viking. Having said that, Odd still have plenty of quality in their ranks and could easily rebound soon. Stromsgodset meanwhile, have been largely inconsistent this season. It’s true they haven't been helped by injuries and again tonight they miss a few players. Their biggest problem has been lack of a clean sheet, although at least they have proved to be threatening at the other end. For me, this looks set to be an open game of football and I like the overs in it. Last season Odd had a reputation of being quite tight and lower scoring, but this year it’s clear they aren't as solid. Godset will definitely come here and attack, giving it a proper go. Their own defensive issues mean that they simply have to outscore opponents at the moment. This really could be a great match to watch, likely full of chances and goals. Sometimes when two ‘bigger’ teams meet then there can be too much respect shown, leading to a tighter contest. I don’t personally see that happening though. I have a sneaky suspicion Godset will draw or win, but a safer bet is definitely over 3.0 Recommended bet: Over 3.0 goals @ 2.0 5/10 Stabaek - Sandefjord Stabaek are totally on fire! They have won 5 straight games and kept clean sheets in all of those contests. Coach Bob Bradley is once again defying the odds and proving his quality. Pre season many predicted they would struggle, but there have been few signs of that so far. Stabaek just look like a team in a really good dynamic at the moment and they know how to win games. Today they miss important midfielder Luc Kassi to suspension, but even without him they should be alright against a team such as Sandefjord. Now I personally don't think the visitors are that bad a team. In a number of matches they have been unlucky not to either win or draw. But perhaps this is the sign of a poor team - finding ways to fuck up games they should do better in. It seems they are very prone to conceding late goals or letting good opportunities slip. They play in an aggressive 3-5-2 formation and this is perhaps to their detriment. Stabaek will have enough for them today IMO and find a way to collect 3 points. I prefer taking them straight win rather than -0.75 handicap. Recommended bet: Stabaek win @ 1.75 4/10 Just a word on the other games. Aalesund - Sarpsborg I think will be a draw. SS are in fairly good form and all of their away games have been tight so I sense something like 1-1, or maybe even an outside chance of 0-0. Haugesund - Viking I also think will be low scoring, another that has slight 0-0 potential or maybe a tight Viking win. Molde should be good enough to take victory at LSK but anyone who watched them at Viking last week couldn't help but be concerned about their away form this season. They get 3 points IMO but there’s definitely a risk of a draw. Best of luck everyone today!

Re: Norway - Tippeligaen (12-13 May) Great to see Lisandri back in action on the Scandinavian leagues and great to see the impressive Meatman turn his hat from the Frenchies to already give some very very good write-ups. Unlike most, this is my favourite time of the year for football bets. Scandinavian leagues are great to play on along with some other lesser leagues. Thank you both for the interesting write-ups over the last few weeks and keep it up as you are both providing invaluable information.

Re: Norway - Tippeligaen (12-13 May) Unfortunately I don't think lady luck was with me this round. 1-1 after 8 mins in the Start - Bodo match and then no more goals!!!! I mean WTF! The last 30 mins of Odd v Godset had no more goals in it either. Both circumstances would normally at very worst push. Sometimes just need a bit of luck with finishing chances when on overs, I didn't have that here.

  • 2 weeks later...

Re: Norway - Tippeligaen (12-13 May) Haugesund v Stromsgodset - over 2,5 goals @7/10 (bet365) It looks like when these two play each other there is always an open game with lots of goals in it. Last 5 meetings have finished all over 2,5 goals. I think there is a good chance today to see at least 3 goals. Good luck !!!
