Re: June 9 - June 15 Andreas Seppi (+1.5 Sets) to beat Philipp Kohlschreiber @ 1.943 Pinnacle Andreas Seppi (+3.5 Games) to beat Philipp Kohlschreiber @ 1.943 Pinnacle I think Kohlschreiber is too short in this match, which probably has something to do with his good showing against Murray at the French Open. Seppi also had a good few days at Roland Garros, and he beat Kohlschreiber on the one occasion they have played each other on grass. It could take both players some time to adapt to a different surface, and so I think three sets are a possibility here. Seppi might not have quite enough to see off Kohlschreiber who is playing at home, but he can play on grass and I think he can be competitive and cover the lines. Aljaz Bedene (+1.5 Sets) to beat Paul-Henri Mathieu @ 1.699 Pinnacle Aljaz Bedene (+3 Games) to beat Paul-Henri Mathieu @ 1.826 Pinnacle Around this time last year, Bedene looked ready to make a breakthrough of sorts but since then he seems to have struggled. His results on the main tour haven't been great, but even so I think he has a good chance of winning this match against Mathieu. The Frenchman has also been in pretty poor form of late, and he lost to Bedene at this tournament last year. If he does manage to beat the Slovenian I think it will be close, and so the handicaps appeal. Dudi Sela to beat James Duckworth @ 1.84 Betfair Despite his poor recent form, I think it's right that Sela is the favourite in this match against Duckworth. The Israeli has had some good results during his career on grass, and he gave Dimitrov a big scare on the surface last year. Duckworth has the advantage of having come through qualifying, but he didn't play anyone of Sela's quality. The Australian lacks grass court experience, and that could be the difference between making the second round or going out in the first. Tim Smyczek (+1.5 Sets) to beat Bernard Tomic @ 1.787 Pinnacle Tim Smyczek (+3.5 Games) to beat Bernard Tomic @ 1.840 Pinnacle I'll start by saying that Tomic should win this match, but he's not a player I can back at the moment due to a succession of lacklustre performances. He played reasonably well in the comfortable home surroundings of Sydney at the start of the year, but since then he has only won a single match. Smyczek isn't in the best of form either, but he can be excused to a degree as his recent matches have been on clay which is not his favourite surface. The American should enjoy the faster conditions here, which might allow him to stay close to Tomic and depending on how motivated the Australian is he might even get the win. Sam Querrey to beat Jeremy Chardy @ 1.96 Betfair Querrey has had a mediocre season so far, and he didn't do too well on grass this time last year and so I can see why the market can't choose between him and Chardy in this match. The Frenchman has been playing quite well on hard and clay in recent times, but for me Querrey is the better grass court player and that's why I'll be backing him. He beat Chardy on the surface a number of years ago which is never a bad thing in my eyes, and I can see Chardy getting frustrated with the extra pop on Querrey's serve which could help the American ease to victory here.

Re: June 9 - June 15 Back Caroline Garcia (-2.5) to beat Victoria Duval for a 8/10 stake at 1.88 with Pinnacle There's still a decent gap between the two in my opinion, so I expect Garcia to win this quite comfortably. The only thing that speaks in Duval's favor is the fact that she's already played some competitive matches on grass this year, but Garcia will be a big step up for her and I don't believe that she'll be able to successfully challenge her today. Re: June 9 - June 15 Back Michael Russell to beat Denis Kudla for a 5/10 stake at 2.62 with Pinnacle There are rightful concerns to be had about Russell these days, but this price deserves a small punt nonetheless in my opinion. He's going to fight hard now that he's back on a faster surface and he has a 3-0 record against Kudla, so chances are that he's going to come out on top in this match. Re: June 9 - June 15 Back Katy Dunne (+1.5 sets) to beat Camila Giorgi for a 4/10 stake at 2.67 with Pinnacle Back Katy Dunne to beat Camila Giorgi for a 3/10 stake at 6.29 with Pinnacle Katy Dunne has already upset two favorites in Birmingham and Camila Giorgi is hardly the most consistent performer on the tour, so an upset could easily be on the cards here in my opinion. With this being Giorgi's first grass court match for quite some time and Dunne on a dream run, anything can happen. Re: June 9 - June 15 Back Johanna Konta (-3) to beat Kurumi Nara for a 8/10 stake at 1.90 with Pinnacle Nara has never done much on grass and she has a 0-4 record against Konta (0-8 in terms of sets), so I don't expect her to have a real shot at winning this. Last year, Konta beat her 6-2 6-4 in this very tournament and I'd say that she's actually improved since then, so chances are that she's going to improve the H2H record to 5-0 tomorrow. Andreas Seppi (+1.5 Sets) to beat Philipp Kohlschreiber @ 1.943 Pinnacle Andreas Seppi (+3.5 Games) to beat Philipp Kohlschreiber @ 1.943 Pinnacle Aljaz Bedene (+1.5 Sets) to beat Paul-Henri Mathieu @ 1.699 Pinnacle Aljaz Bedene (+3 Games) to beat Paul-Henri Mathieu @ 1.826 Pinnacle Dudi Sela to beat James Duckworth @ 1.84 Betfair Tim Smyczek (+1.5 Sets) to beat Bernard Tomic @ 1.787 Pinnacle Tim Smyczek (+3.5 Games) to beat Bernard Tomic @ 1.840 Pinnacle Sam Querrey to beat Jeremy Chardy @ 1.96 Betfair
Tough day. Seppi wasn't able to trouble Kohlschreiber and Bedene couldn't quite take a set from Mathieu, whilst Sela was a set up and ahead in the second set tie-break against Duckworth but still lost. Smyczek took Tomic to three sets and Querrey just managed to get past Chardy, which helped to make up for the losing bets.

Re: June 9 - June 15 I like a lot of matches today so reasoning will be brief, and by taking so many bets I hope to minimise the impact of bad luck. Let's see how it goes. Robin Haase (+1.5 Sets) to beat Richard Gasquet @ 2.220 Pinnacle Robin Haase (+4 Games) to beat Richard Gasquet @ 2.000 Pinnacle Haase should stand a good chance of taking at least a set here, as there are question marks over Gasquet's fitness. Had it been any other tournament besides the French Open he wouldn't have played last week, and I think Haase is good enough on grass to cause the Frenchman problems if he isn't at his best. With Wimbledon around the corner, it's also possible Gasquet wont push too hard for the win if he is still suffering from any niggles. Mate Pavic (+1.5 Sets) to beat Yen-Tsun Lu @ 2.070 Pinnacle Mate Pavic (+3.5 Games) to beat Yen-Tsun Lu @ 2.100 Pinnacle As Lu is such a competent grass court player I wouldn't normally oppose him in a match like this, but it will be his first match of the tournament and he faces an opponent who has won through three rounds of qualifying. Pavic might be able to sneak a set if it takes Lu some time to get used to the grass after playing at the French Open, and as the Croat seemed to serve quite well in his earlier matches here he might be able to cover the games handicap. Paolo Lorenzi (+1.5 Sets) to beat Vasek Pospisil @ 1.680 Pinnacle Paolo Lorenzi (+3 Games) to beat Vasek Pospisil @ 1.855 Pinnacle Pospisil hasn't won a match since the Australian Open, so I think it's likely he wont be feeling too confident right now. Probably the last thing he needs when he is trying to rediscover his game is to play on grass, as it's the surface he has played the least on in his career. That's also true for Lorenzi, but I think he's the kind of player that will fight for every point and run everything down. What Pospisil really needs to snap his losing streak is to face someone who might give up if they fall behind, and for me that player isn't Lorenzi. Even if the Italian loses, I think it will be close. Benoit Paire to beat Jarkko Nieminen @ 2.16 Betfair Benoit Paire (+1.5 Games) to beat Jarkko Nieminen @ 1.885 Pinnacle I saw some of Nieminen's matches on grass last year, and he didn't look all that great to me. I don't think Paire is the biggest fan of grass either and he has been struggling for wins on the tour since he came back from injury, but he has plenty of talent and so I see this as a match that could go either way. From that perspective, the value is on Paire and I think he should be able to take a set at least here. Igor Sijsling (+1.5 Sets) to beat Dmitry Tursunov @ 1.633 Pinnacle Igor Sijsling (+2.5 Games) to beat Dmitry Tursunov @ 1.840 Pinnacle Sijsling looked pretty good on grass last year, memorably dumping Raonic out of Wimbledon in straight sets and so I think he is being underestimated here. He headed for the Nottingham Challenger after losing at the French Open, which suggests he is keen to do well during the grass court season. Those matches might give him an advantage over Tursunov, as although he is a good grass court player his last match was at the French Open. He's also prone to the odd strange result, so I can see Sijsling taking at least a set in this match. Illya Marchenko to beat Teymuraz Gabashvili @ 2.26 Betfair Illya Marchenko (+2 Games) to beat Teymuraz Gabashvili @ 1.943 Pinnacle Marchenko came through qualifying here and I'm not at all sure about Gabashvili on grass, so I'm prepared to take a punt on the Ukrainian in this match. Gabashvili comes into this tournament straight from the French Open, and so if Marchenko can make a fast start he might be able to take the first set and give the handicap a chance even if he does go on to lose. Ivo Karlovic to beat Mikhail Youzhny @ 2.32 Betfair Ivo Karlovic (+1.5 Games) to beat Mikhail Youzhny @ 1.885 Pinnacle Karlovic has been in great form on clay in recent weeks, and when you consider that it's probably his weakest surface he should be full of confidence ahead of the grass court season where his big serve can do some serious damage. He did retire at the French Open against Anderson, but I'll take a chance that he is over whatever the problem was. Youzhny struggled in Paris and hasn't really been able to find any form so far this season, so the prospect of watching serve after serve fly past him must really appeal. He'll likely struggle to get into any sort of rhythm and if he can't break Karlovic then he could be in trouble in this match, as the Croat has won his last seven tie-breaks. There are some other afternoon matches that I have an interest in, and I'll post them up in the morning.

Tennis Trading Tennis Trading Good Morning, I use Betfair for all my bets and trade FT, thought I would pop my thoughts up on a couple of games today! Halle - 11.00 Falla v Kubot Falla is on a poor run at the moment, but he leads the Polish Kubot 2-0 on the H2H. Kubot has a serve and volley game which is perfect for this surface! Although he is a slow starter, so I hope Falla can capitalize on that. Falla on my odds comes in at 1.83 and Kubot 2.20, Betfair gives them Falla 2.36 and Kubot 1.72. Initial value on Falla then, I will have to wait though to see how the first few games go before getting in, I am hoping Falla starts well we can back him higher than the 1.83 and then get out before Kubot gets going. Birmingham - 13.00 Watson v Wozniak The H2H on these two is tied with Watson getting the better of Wozniak on grass when they last met on the surface. Watson knows how to handle the big serve of Wozniak, she has the home crowd here today providing enough show up and I think if she gets going might trouble Wozniak. I have Watson heavy fav here at 1.40 and Wozniak at 3.48, Betfair gives 1.52 for Watson and Wozniak gets 2.86, I am hoping Wozniak holds a serve or two and threatens a little initially to get that Watson price up!

Re: June 9 - June 15 Back Paolo Lorenzi to beat Vasek Pospisil for a 7/10 stake at 2.79 with Pinnacle Vasek Pospisil hasn't won a match in ages and I can't see anything speaking in his favour apart from the surface, so I am willing to have a decent-sized bet on Lorenzi, who might be a clay court specialist, but who can play decent tennis on all surfaces and who has also beaten Pospisil in fast conditions before. Re: June 9 - June 15 Back Sam Querrey (-3) to beat Denis Kudla for a 7/10 stake at 1.90 with Pinnacle Fancy Querrey to beat Kudla quite easily. He's the much better player of the two and he'll be full of confidence after getting the win against Chardy yesterday, so Kudla, who's still your typical challenger-level player, shouldn't be able to trouble him too much today. Re: June 9 - June 15 Back James Ward (+1.5 sets) to beat Grigor Dimitrov for a 7/10 stake at 2.84 with Pinnacle This price looks worth taking considering that Dimitrov looked very poor in the French Open and that Ward will play his heart out in this particular tournament. Moreover, the Bulgarian tends to throw sets away against these average-looking players from time to time, so I don't believe that Ward will be left without any chances today. Re: June 9 - June 15 Evgeny Donskoy (+1.5 Sets) to beat Edouard Roger-Vasselin @ 1.862 Pinnacle Evgeny Donskoy (+3.5 Games) to beat Edouard Roger-Vasselin @ 1.813 Pinnacle I can't see anything in Roger-Vasselin's recent form to suggest that he should be this short here. He's been losing a lot of matches and although against good players, losing can become a habit in the same way that winning can. In fairness, Donskoy has lost quite a few matches recently and not always to good players, but he had some good results on grass last season so that's why I think he is worth backing in this match. He got the better of both Isner and Haase this time last year, whereas Roger-Vasselin only managed to win one tight match against a player in Rufin whose best surface is probably clay. Value on the Russian I would say, and hopefully he can get what would be a surprise win. Marinko Matosevic (+1.5 Sets) to beat Marin Cilic @ 2.300 Pinnacle Marinko Matosevic (+4 Games) to beat Marin Cilic @ 2.050 Pinnacle Matosevic had five matches on grass in Nottingham last week, whereas Cilic is coming straight from the French Open. The Croat did well this time last season, and whilst I expect him to win this match he might not have things all his own way here. Matosevic took a set in their last match in Monte-Carlo on clay, and if the Australian can take a set against Cilic on a surface that he hasn't had his best results on then he might be able to do it on grass as well. Denis Kudla (+1.5 Sets) to beat Sam Querrey @ 1.847 Pinnacle Denis Kudla (+3 Games) to beat Sam Querrey @ 1.935 Pinnacle Whilst Querrey did well to come back from a set down and beat Chardy in three tie-break sets in his first match here, at these prices I prefer Kudla. He finished strongly against Russell in his last match after starting slowly, and based on his results on grass last year it looks like it's a surface that he doesn't mind playing on. Querrey is all about serve whereas there is possibly more to Kudla, and I would say that of the two players he is the one with the most potential to develop his game. If he can replicate his form from this tournament last year then he might be able to run Querrey close, especially as Querrey hasn't convincingly beaten anyone on the main tour in quite some time now. Benjamin Becker (+1.5 Sets) to beat Gael Monfils @ 1.893 Pinnacle Benjamin Becker (+3.5 Games) to beat Gael Monfils @ 1.806 Pinnacle Monfils had a long and tiring tournament at the French Open, and whilst Becker is in no form at all at the moment he could take advantage if the Frenchman hasn't fully recovered from his exertions. His game is well-suited to grass and he got some good results on the surface last year, and as I'm not convinced Monfils is the biggest fan of grass courts I think the Frenchman could be vulnerable in this match. I don't think he would be too unhappy to lose here but even if he is keen to win it might not be straightforward, as is often the case when Monfils plays. James Ward (+1.5 Sets) to beat Grigor Dimitrov @ 2.850 Pinnacle James Ward (+4.5 Games) to beat Grigor Dimitrov @ 1.855 Pinnacle In my opinion, the prices in this match are very much a case of style over substance - the style of Dimitrov's game versus the substance of Ward's grass court experience. I think whichever way you look at it Dimitrov is too short here, and that this is a classic case of the name and ranking of a player skewing the odds. Dimitrov's results on grass look pretty average to me, and he should have lost in the first round of this tournament last year as Sela served for the match. In his next match the Bulgarian met a player with grass court nous in Hewitt, and was sent packing in straight sets. Ward clearly isn't on the same level as the veteran Australian, but it illustrates the point that if you know how to play on grass you can cause Dimitrov problems. Ward has had some of his best results on the surface, he's had a match already to get used to conditions which Dimitrov hasn't and he's sure to get good backing from the crowd so I like his chances here. James Duckworth (+1.5 Sets) to beat Tomas Berdych @ 4.650 Pinnacle James Duckworth (+4.5 Games) to beat Tomas Berdych @ 2.160 Pinnacle My most speculative bet of the day, but worth chancing in my opinion. Berdych lost tamely to Gulbis at the French Open in his last match, and I'm not sure what that says about his form even though the Latvian had a great tournament. It's possible there will be a reaction from Berdych in this match and that he will be looking to get back on track by recording an easy win, but the facts are that this will be Duckworth's sixth match on grass since last week and he must be a fighter after coming back from the brink to beat Sela in the first round here. With that in mind, I think the Australian can be more competitive than expected against Berdych and if the Czech loses focus he could even take a set.

Matosevic is a good grass court player and already had a successful week on grass last week. Should not be an easy win for Cilic should be an easy win for Benneteau who is a good grass court player. Estrella has no experience playing on fast courts, grass in particular.

A good day. The losses from yesterday were recouped, and the profit so far this week stands at nearly four units to one unit stakes. Haase won in straight sets, Pavic was unlucky not to win but covered the lines and Lorenzi was competitive as expected. Like Pavic, Paire and Marchenko lost in final set tie-breaks, whilst Sijsling lost in straight sets which was disappointing. Karlovic was a surprisingly easy winner, Donskoy took a set in a three-set defeat and Matosevic was a straight sets winner. Kudla and Becker were both beaten easily, Ward was outclassed in his match and Duckworth played well to take a set and cover the game handicap which meant the day ended on a positive note.

Re: June 9 - June 15 Back Pierre-Hugues Herbert (+4 games) to beat Philipp Kohlschreiber at 2.10 with MarathonBet This French guy impressed me in the first round of Roland Garros, where John Isner faced great difficulties in beating him. He possesses a decent service game and also has good ground strokes. It worth to mention that he already played 3 matches on grass, all of them in Halle: 2 qualies + 1 first round against Janowicz, and did not drop a single set. Yesterday the home boy, Kohlschreiber defeated Seppi relatively easy in two sets and might be the clear favorite of this match, but I do believe that this young French will be able to keep it close and cover the handicap.

Re: June 9 - June 15 Back Radek Stepanek (-3) to beat Bernard Tomic for a 7/10 stake at 2.09 with Pinnacle Bernard Tomic might have beaten Tim Smyczek in the first round, but Radek Stepanek should be a big step up in terms of quality and I think that the Australian won't have enough to challenge him today. He's yet to really bounce back after that long injury break - and the Czech seems to be playing quite well these days, so I expect him to deal with the Australian at the end of the day. Pospisil could have easily lost against Lorenzi yesterday and Stakhovsky should be a much tougher challenge given the conditions, so chances are that the Canadian's struggles aren't over just yet. June 11th Tennis Trades [h=1]Betfair Tennis Trading - 11th June[/h] Birmingham WTA 11.00 Safarova v Zahlavova Stycova (Asif you think I am typing that - Zah) Safarova leads the H2H on these 2-0 but they were some time ago and she has not done so well against her fellow countrymen recently, losing the last 4 of 5. Whereas Zah loves playing and beating people from her country, winning 8 in a row. Zah also winning 4 in a row against lefties. But can she handle the big serve today of Safarova? Zah is a counter player so hopefully she can return serve well and get herself some points on the board. I get these at Safarova 1.20 and Zah a massive 6.03, Betfair gives them 1.30 Safarova and Zah gets a 4.2. I am hoping Zah can start well and get some early points which can see Safarovas price go out so that I can get a better entry point on it. This will be the only game for me today, good luck!

Re: June 9 - June 15 Back P-H.Mathieu/A.Murray - Over 20 games for a 7/10 stake at 1.96 with Pinnacle Andy Murray is rarely at his best in his opening matches and history shows that the Queen's tournament is no exception in that regard, so I expect him to struggle a bit against Paul-Henri Mathieu, who played a decent match against Bedene in the first round by the looks of things and who is still capable of playing great tennis from time to time. Re: June 9 - June 15 Back Peter Gojowczyk (+4 games) to beat Milos Raonic at 1.98 with MarathonBet I really like the Germans' chances in this match-up, although I am aware of the Canadians' power on this surface. Gojowczyk already played in Halle yesterday, a match that he won in straight sets, and his service game was barely put under pressure. Raonic will might need some time to adjust to grass, and this can reflect in two (or who knows, maybe even three) tight sets. Since the match will be played in the afternoon I think Gojowczyk might be well supported by the home crowd, so I think he will be able to play a close match with the Canadian baby.

Re: June 9 - June 15 I might keep it short and simple, but here are my tips for tomorrow: Back Yen-Hsun Lu - Ivo Karlovic - Over 23 games at 1.90 with Pinnacle Lu faced some difficulties yesterday against Pavic, but came out as a winner after 3 tiebreaks. After the clay season his time just come to grab some ATP points and warm up for Wimbledon. Karlovic does not need any introduction when we talk about grass court :) it might be a bit dangerous, that the Croatian seems to be in great shape, but I believe that Lu will be able to keep the pace. I do expect a tight match between these two men, possibly a 3 setter, but definitely at least 2 sets with 12+ games. Back Stan Wawrinka - Sam Querrey - Over 23.5 games at 1.91 with Unibet Almost all of their previous meetings ended up in a decisive set, and most of the sets were very tight (lots of 7-5s 7-6s). I do expect another big battle between these two players with decent service games (although grass might not be Stans' favorite surface) Back Adrian Mannarino - Thomas Berdych - Over 21.5 games at 1.91 with Unibet The Czech did not look so impressive yesterday, while the French seems to has started his grass court season perfectly with two easy wins. Of course the gap of quality between those two players and Berdych is huge, but I still think that Mannarino can play a close match against the 2nd seed, like Duckworth did yesterday.

Should be a long close match. ANDERSON-STAKHOVSKY OVER 22 GAMES @ 1.56 on pinnaclesports the same reasoning as above. TSONGA-MATOSEVIC OVER 22 GAMES @ 1.74 on pinnaclesports Matosevic playing great on grass this and last weeks. Will not be an easy win for the favorite Tsonga.

Re: June 9 - June 15 Back C.Vandeweghe/K.Koukalova - Over 21.5 games for a 7/10 stake at 1.87 with Unibet Both seem to have a habit of playing long matches and neither seems to be in a particularly good form at the moment, so I fancy this clash to go over this line much more often than not. Re: June 9 - June 15

I might keep it short and simple, but here are my tips for tomorrow: Back Yen-Hsun Lu - Ivo Karlovic - Over 23 games at 1.90 with Pinnacle Lu faced some difficulties yesterday against Pavic, but came out as a winner after 3 tiebreaks.
2/3, not a bad day. My tip for Wawrinkas' match was completely missed, but honestly I did not expect such a score 6-2 6-2... I see some interesting matches for tomorrow, will post my tips later.
