Re: Euro 2016 Qualifying > Monday September 8th 1/5 for Lithuania to win away to San Marino looks decent value. Lithuania aren't a particularly strong side, but they are better than San Marino; a 2-0 win away to Liechtenstein, a side undoubtedly stronger than San Marino, in World Cup 2014 qualifying, suggests they have what it takes to win here, and going slightly further back they won 1-0 away to Czech Republic in Euro 2012 qualifying. The new format for qualifying gives mid to lower ranked sides a better chance than ever of qualifying, and Lithuania will know this a perfect chance to get off to a winning start against a side that has lost 62 consecutive qualifying matches and 110 of 112 in total. Elsewhere, the Montenegro-Moldova odds have changed to reflect the match more accurately to a degree. Considering Moldova thrashed them 5-2 in Montenegro in the last round of World Cup 2014 qualifying, 1/4 for the home win this time around would be absurd. The prices are now fluctuating around a slightly more realistic 4/9 for Montenegro, with the away win as high as 7/1 - might be worth a speculative punt considering that result!

Re: Euro 2016 Qualifying > Monday September 8th The double chance of draw/England in their game away to Switzerland is being offered at 1/2 by Coral. With England often stoic under Roy Hodgson in away qualifiers against half-decent teams, and Switzerland being a thoroughly average team all over the pitch, I can only see ending with a narrow England win or, more likely, a 1-1 draw.

Re: Euro 2016 Qualifying > Monday September 8th LUXEMBOURG - BELARUS No, I can't accept such big odds. They will go down very quick, so no time to waste. I know that Belarus have average H2H against Luxembourg. In quals for Euro 2012 they failed during away game picking goalless draw. In quals for 2008 and 1996 they also had problems, but those last two records should not be considered as relevant, because Belarus football was on much lower level than they are now. So, first thing is first: Belarus will use many players from BATE and Dinamo Minsk. Just let me remind you that BATE once again won promotion to Champions League group stage, while Dinamo easily secured an Europa League group phase. Those achievements were made mostly by players from Belarus, they proved their quality. In the squad there are also some players from Russian Top Division like defensive midfielder Tigorev from Lokomotiv Moscow, Martynovich from Kuban Krasnodar or Igor Shitov from Mordovia Saransk. Last but not least: call up got also experienced, ex-Barcelona and ex-Arsenal player Alexander Hleb currently playing for Turkish Konyaspor. As for Luxembourg, their squad is poor, that's obvious, but against Belarus it will be even worse! Luxembourg will be without best players. Their key centre back Maxime Chanot (Kortrijk) is injured. Their best striker Aurelien Joachim (ex-Walwijk, CSKA Sofia at the moment) is suspended! Important central midfielder Lars Gerson from Sweden Allsvenskan has still problems with his knee and is not available. Only few other players are active members of professional clubs. Usually they don't really play there, just are on the payroll and are used only for the bench, for example young defender Chris Phillips from Metz did not play single minute in Ligue 1 this season. Lack of match practice could be even worse than playing in small club from Luxembourg. Their first choice goalkeeper Anthony Moris plays for Standard Liege Reserves. Hard to feel confident during international game if you are backup for backup for backup. Only right back Mario Mutsch from St. Gallen plays regularly for real club from real league. So, quality gap is clear and obvious. As for the results Luxembourg made a couple good results in last quals by earning two draws against Azerbaijan and winning 4 points from two games against North Ireland. With all due respect to those teams they are weaker than Belarus. North Ireland since always have problems with positional attack which is key in games like this, also their quality goes lower and lower in every year as they stopped to be a natural source for English clubs from lower divisions. I believe that Belarus will be extremely determinate to made another big step in their progress. After great quals for European Cups it's time to made positive results in this National campaign as well! Because of 2012 goalless draw they should be already aware of Luxembourg potential and should not give them any chance to spoil their hopes for securing second place in this very weak group. Most of the players are in top form right now while hosts are without almost all players able to make the living from football outside of Luxembourg.

Re: Euro 2016 Qualifying > Monday September 8th Switzerland v England

  • England have lost just one of their last 13 international matches away from home (W7 D5 L1).
  • Wayne Rooney has scored a goal in each of his last four international appearances away from home for England.
  • Rooney has scored three goals in three international appearances against Switzerland.
  • Wayne Rooney has scored more goals in competitive internationals than any other England player (29 in finals and qualifiers).
  • Roy Hodgson was previously manager of Switzerland for 42 internationals between Jan 1992 and Nov 1995 (W22 D10 L10).
  • England have attempted just three shots on target in their last 192 minutes of international football, with the only goal in this period coming from the penalty spot.
  • Switzerland are unbeaten in nine home international matches (W6 D3).
  • Their last home defeat came just under two and a half years ago; May 2012 v Romania (0-1).
  • England are unbeaten in eight international meetings with Switzerland (W5 D3).
  • Switzerland's last win against England came back in May 1981 (2-1) in a WC qualifier in Basle.
  • England have had more touches in the opposition box than their opponents in each of their last 12 international matches.

You were right' date=' best odds are now only 1.57.[/quote'] Yeah, tiny risk-free profit for me if Belarus win after I lost my nerve on this and traded off. So hard to trust sides like Belarus, they can lose to almost anyone on their day.

Re: Euro 2016 Qualifying > Monday September 8th 4pts Switzerland vs England - Under 2 goals 1.92 BetVictor Neither of these sides are prolific in front of goal and you wouldn’t say either are the sort to take many risks especially when the rest of the group is pretty comfortable for both teams so I’m not expecting a high scoring classic I’ve got to admit. England are struggling to link their play in attack and Switzerland only play with one up top so under 2 goals looks a perfectly fair bet to me. Re: Euro 2016 Qualifying > Monday September 8th Spain v FYR Macedonia Spain don't score that many goals at home, so I think 'unders' might be some value here at current odds. I make it that Spain have only scored more than 3 goals in 9 of their last 26 home qualifiers - 17 of the 26 have been 3 or fewer. Most of Macedonia's away friendlies tend to be 'unders'. Under 4.0 AH 1.86 Marathon Stake: 3 points

Re: Euro 2016 Qualifying > Monday September 8th 4pts Russia (-3AH) to beat Liechtenstein 1.88 Ladbrokes This match is simply about how ruthless Russia are going to be and after a disappointing World Cup I would expect them to try and turn it on in this match to restore some faith and belief and some confidence. Liechtenstein are just likely to be in damage limitation mode and it is hard to blame them for that. Russia should dominate the possession and they should have the quality to win this by at least three if not more. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/russia-vs-liechtenstein-betting-russia-should-ease-to-opening-qualifying-win 5pts Spain to win to nil 4/6 Paddy Power Spain will be widely expected to win and the big question really is now many will they win by. That is open to debate but one thing which I don’t think is open to as much debate is that Macedonia will struggle to score here. Firstly they won’t see much of the ball anyway but having not scored in their last four matches and having lost their one star player it is hard to see them scoring so the 4/6 on Spain winning to nil looks a gift here. Re: Euro 2016 Qualifying > Monday September 8th Switzerland vs England – Over 2,5 @ 2.58 Marathonbet The most unpredictable game of the day, between the two best teams of the group. England is theoretically a better team than Switzerland, but very unstable and not trustworthy. Swiss side made a very good World Cup, passed the group phase second behind France and lost to Argentina to round of “16” on extra time. I don’t see a result in this game, everything could happen, but I believe that we will see at least 3 goals. Switzerland has talented players, a new coach (Vladimir Petkovic) and plays at home, England on the other side is bad defensively. My pick is Over 2,5.

Re: Euro 2016 Qualifying > Monday September 8th Ukraine vs Slovakia – Win for Ukraine @ 1.70 Marathonbet At a group that Spain is involved, the first place is taken. Ukraine and Slovakia will battle for the second spot which as of this year, gives the straight ticket to Euro. Ukraine made it to knock out phase at the qualifiers of World Cup, where lost to France, but had tremendous complaints about the referee. The situation on the Eastern Europe country is still critical politically, so maybe football and a win of the national team will be something to smile about. Slovakia has never made it to a Euro as an independent country, wants to succeed this time. Jan Kozak is the new coach, there is quality on offence, but today I see advantage for the Ukrainians. My pick is win for the home side.

Re: Euro 2016 Qualifying > Monday September 8th Spain - FYROM Under 2.5 at 3.25 @ Marathonbet While Spanish keep telling that they have left behind the failure of the World Cup and that they are moving on, I believe it's gonna take them some more time to be again the team they were.Today they play without Diego Costa and with 21yo Paco Alcacer replacing him and with a whole new line in the center. Still a talented team and I believe they will win this one, mostly because the opponent is much weaker. Goran Pandev the main striker of FYROM retired from the national team and it's a question who is gonna be the next big scorer of the team.

Sweden is one of the favourites for the qualification and they need to prove it on court today against a strong opponent.Ibrahimovic is reaching 100 caps with Sweden today and maybe he is in a mood to party! some additional infos: ukraine is without 5 important players, most of them were in main XI - Tymoshchuk (mid 113/4), Konoplyanka (mid 37/8), Rotan (mid 74/7), Devi? (fw 35/7), Selezyonov (fw 42/9). slovakia is without captain and big defend star martin Skrtel from Liverpool, and we are without capable attacker. Vittek cant play because of his injury he rejected Slovan Bratislava contract for this season. holosko and jakubko are out of form and injured too. we have decent middlefields but their shape is miserable. biggest names are still young Stoch and Weiss but they currently play in "camels arab leagues" where they have lost their peace and acceleration. only two players can make something - with their headers - Durica and Nemec. Both are very strong is physical battles but they are not very fast. home ground will be big difference too. slovakian comes to the war region. the battles not going in this area but in air is smell of tension. on home side will be big motivation. but because of is quality missing on both sides I expect no more that 2,5 goals. And I dont understand betts on our visitors side, if I had this kind of optimism :D but fingers crossed, its only football. My bet: under 2,5 @1,57 at bet365

Re: Euro 2016 Qualifying > Monday September 8th Spain -2 EH v Macedonia - 20 Points @ 1.83 Paddy Power Although Diego Costa will miss this match, I am expecting Spain to come out firing on all cylinders for this Euro 2016 qualifying campaign. Their pride was really hurt at the world cup when they were sent home packing very early on and this is the perfect opportunity for them to move on from that terrible disaster. Spain have won 21 of their last 22 home European Championship qualifiers and they have the players to really hurt Macedonia tonight, if they come out firing that is. If they do play like Spain can play, they should cover the handicap. I also don't think England will win tonight, but couldn't get myself to back Switzerland. Could well be a low-scoring draw.

The moment i saw this match I thought that is screaming for goals and i couldn't believe my eyes when i saw tha over 2,5 goals is well above evens. Not much quality reasoning from my side beside the general story about how both teams are attackingly oriented, but i got to follow my hunch on this one. Re: Euro 2016 Qualifying > Monday September 8th For Monday's qualifiers, my shots on target figures show Luxembourg, Moldova and Slovakia as possible value. These stats suggest Luxembourg should be about 2.5, Moldova about 3.5 and Slovakia about 4.0. These figures are certainly NOT a foolproof guide to value. Instead, I think of them as a "guide to possible value". I often find that the shots stats are most profitable in matches involving lesser-known less researched teams - like the games involving Luxembourg, Moldova and Slovakia. Re: Euro 2016 Qualifying > Monday September 8th Switzerland v England: Buy cross corners at 24.5 and England corners squared at 33 with SPIN Prices have fallen slightly since I bought elsewhere (at 25 and 35). Obviously I'm hoping for plenty of corners with a bias towards England flag kicks. Switzerland home WC qualifiers saw an average cross corners make-up of 30.6 with their visitors averaging 4.8 corners (21.6 corners squared). England's games away from Wembley saw cross corners average 36.4 and England average 7.2 corners (68.4 corners squared). At the World Cup, the cross corners averaged 24.75 in Switzerland's games and 27 in England's. Swiss opponents averaged 6.25 corners (corners squared averaging 44.75) with England averaging 7.25 (55.33). In a closely matched game with the Swiss as hosts I think the potential for corners makes both prices a decent buy. My cross corners stake is 50% bigger than that on England corners squared.

England's 6th and final corner just saw the bets over the line! Cross corners made up at 30 (Denmark's 5 x England's 6) and England's corners squared at 36. Very happy with that after a halftime corner count of 2-1 to Denmark, I though the second half would just be a matter of damage limitation. I think I'll be having a look at corner bets in both teams' future qualifiers.
