Re: Ligue 1 Orange > December 13th - 15th Montpellier – St Etienne The hosts have all sorts of issues in defence where they are once again ravaged with injuries and suspensions. Hilton, Congre, Bocaly and Jebbour are all missing here, as is DMID Jamel Saihi. They are in better condition in the final 3rd of the field where only the long term Djamel Bakar is ruled out, but I do worry about their issues at the back. St Etienne have a sprinkling of injuries, but all of them to less important players. Their main absentee is CB Kurt Zouma (susp), but even he wouldn’t have been a guaranteed starter. The most important thing to mention here is that Montpellier are now officially under the management of Rolland Courbis. He’s a good tactical coach, a legend at the club and a popular appointment with the fans. Montpellier played fairly well last week away at Toulouse and obtained a 1-1 draw when nobody expected them to. I certainly think that ‘new manager syndrome’ will affect them, the question is whether or not they can get 3 points tonight. Courbis is really hampered by defensive issues and you’d have to imagine Sainte will create a number of chances in this match. But Montpellier have offensive talent too and should also be dangerous going forwards. I think this should be an open attractive match and pretty good viewing for all who watch it. I fancy the overs, especially as a generous 2.25 line is on offer. The strength of both teams in this game is going to be attack and I like this bet. As far as match result goes, I think the bookies have their lines set pretty fair. I actually favour X2 here and I have the feeling this will end up as something like a 2-2 draw. Montpellier may well avoid defeat but if Sainte can really take advantage of their defensive problems then the visitors could snatch 3 points. Prediction: Montpellier 2-2 St Etienne Recommended bet: Over 2.25 goals @ 1.99 4/10

Re: Ligue 1 Orange > December 13th - 15th well.... as i'm not betting on multinationals i only have a suggestion to bet on every team scores... From my look of view, I see the point of meatman... bith teams would play pretty offensivelly. I would say it pretty much agrees to the meatmans theory, so hopefully I'm not wrong.

Re: Ligue 1 Orange > December 13th - 15th Sack of shyte. The first half was open and should've contained goals but then the match just closed up. I'll be back but its nights like tonight when I don't know why I actually bother sometimes. I should also stop betting overs, lost 8 of my last 9 of them despite having a 16-13 seasonal record.

I should also stop betting overs' date=' lost 8 of my last 9 of them despite having a 16-13 seasonal record.[/quote'] french league is an unders league as u very well know but still 8 out of 9 loses is still a very bad run/luck. Might as well reconsider betting overs and stick to asians only on french league. Personally, I have noticed especially high amount of 0:0 in french games too. onwards and upwards

Re: Ligue 1 Orange > December 13th - 15th

What about Lorient away win' date=' Evian and Nice home wins?:)[/quote'] Exactly the 3 games that caught my eye tomorrow. Especially Lorient is the bet of the week for me. AC ajaccio has so many suspended players it's just insane. 4 in one round is just too much for a team like ajaccio. They don't have a wide quality squad like most teams and they are also on a poor run. They will miss 3 important midfielders : Pierazzi, cavalli and Lasne. Same for striker belghazouani. Goncalves, Pedretti and zubar are still injured. Huge blows and I can't see anything else than a away win here. Odds are great in my opinion. Ajaccio only collected 2 points in their last 5 games also 2 points in their last 5 home games. Lorient strikes them at the right time. The away team is on a amazing run having 5 cleansheets in their last 5 games. No man in the world would have guessed that at the start of the season. Normally they really struggle on the road but like I said they score at will and their defense is rock solid. One of their best players finally returns Aliadere is back! Aboubakar did a great job as a stand in scoring 9 goals. Only big miss for lorient is keeper Audard but chaigneau is a fine replacement. I have no doubts lorient will find the net in this game will all those missings at ajaccio especially in midfield and attack. Maybe one goal is already enough and lorient to keep a cleansheet is tempting again. They covered the handicap win in all of their 4 latest games. Can't see their good run end here. Medium stakes on the away win for me and small stakes on Lorient -1.5! And some small stakes on the cleansheet aswell. Goodluck

Re: Ligue 1 Orange > December 13th - 15th I will try in a Ligue which I avoided for a while, with small stake bets : Nantes -0,5 at 2,075 Excellent odds for a team who only lost to the top 3 teams at home. Seen them twice, happy with the risk here. Evian over 2,5 Goals at 2,30 A risky bet in a low-scoring league, and especially with Reims involved. Both to score would be more appropriate, but Evian are capable of going wild in similar games, fingers crossed for an early goal. Guingamp Goal/ Goal ( BTTS ) at 2,00 Hosts are solid enough at home and will surely raise for this game. The key here is that Monaco fail to convince me. Nice Over 2,5 Goals at 2,05 Just following Meatman's advice long time ago here, ''when 2 shit teams play, Over is on the cards''. GL all

Re: Ligue 1 Orange > December 13th - 15th Rennes – PSG For the home team, solid rock at the back Sylvain Armand is denied the chance of playing against his former club because of suspension. At least Rennes can count on the return of fellow CB Kana Biyik who’s back following injury. Rennes have also been given a boost by the return of playmaker Romain Alessandrini. He’s their best offensive player and an absolute key man on the left hand side. However, Foued Kadir is still out injured which is a blow because he’s provided numerous goals and assists so far this season. The Rennes XIs have been a bit weird recently but surely for this match coach Philippe Montanier will start his best side, which includes the likes of Pitroipa and maybe Feret as well. PSG are at full strength except RB Christophe Jallet, who actually isn’t that good anyway and shouldn’t be missed. They played on Tuesday night in the CL away to Benfica, but the effect of that match will be negligible because many players were rested out and the result insignificant. Rennes did win their last home match 3-1 against St Etienne, but this’ll be a much tougher challenge. PSG have far more quality and will likely be in the mood to extend their lead at the top of the table. The visitors have won 12 of their last 15 ligue games and when on form there isn’t another team that can get close to them in France. The likes of Cavani and Ibra now have a much better chemistry between them and look constantly dangerous. PSG did recently lose away to Evian, but nobody likes to travel there on a cold dark night and on a shocking pitch. This is different and a trip to Rennes is far more pleasant, PSG will be able to play their proper football on this surface too. St Etienne may have lost here a week or so ago, but they totally monopolized possession and I’d expect PSG to do the same again here. Rennes will get tired of chasing the ball down and probably struggle greatly in the last 20 mins or so. The only hope that the hosts have here is to score goals via counter attacks and be clinical with their chances. They managed to do this vs St Etienne and its going to have to be the same if they are to avoid defeat here. Rennes at full strength do have the weapons for this at least, the likes of Pitroipa and Alessandrini have great pace as do some of their other attackers. But I just think that PSG are going to have too much class today and they’ll find a way to pick up the 3 points. It may well be a comfortable success but I’m not interested in backing them on a -1.25 handicap away from home. If they were facing someone poor then maybe I’d be tempted, but Rennes are a half decent side who are capable of scoring a goal or two. Overall I think PSG will be in the mood and dominate, but if they aren’t ‘up for it’ then the hosts have more of a chance. My best advice is to swerve this game and wait for a potential IR betting opportunity. Prediction: Rennes 1-3 PSG Recommended bet: None

Re: Ligue 1 Orange > December 13th - 15th Nice will be my secons bet for tonight. Their results are terrible lately, they started the season so well but due many injuries in their squad they looked toothless.. Now they welcome back their most important players also keeper ospina is back and rdy to play! They only miss Pied and Traore and a few other non regulars but they are long terms. Their attack will most probably be : beautheac, Bruls, eysseric and cvitanich upfront. This was a deadly combo in the first 10 games or so. Especially at home they were almost unstoppable and cvitanich was one of most dangerous strikers in the ligue 1. I think there confidence will be boosted by the return of some players and they will start to win games sooner or later. Sochaux looks like the perfect opponent for that. They got smashed by PSG as expected. They will miss 2 important players for this game. Goalkeeper Pouplin and defensive midfielder Lopy. Also midfielder Boumal is suspended. Few weeks we backed them at home and they failed miserably. Away it's no other story. They keep loosing games back to back an conceded a lot of goals in most games. It's time for Nice to strike back, and although the odds are not great bookies also know they have a big potential at winning home games. Around 1.80 is fine for me. I think sochaux will try to park the bus for most of the game. If cvitanch finds his old form I can see a comfortable home win here. Medium stakes for me!

Re: Ligue 1 Orange > December 13th - 15th Ajaccio – Lorient The hosts have 4 injuries and 4 suspensions here. They aren’t as badly affected at the back where only Ronald Zubar is ruled out. But they have a number of issues in midfield and attack. The likes of Cavalli, Pedretti, Lasne and Pierazzi are all ruled out and they are really lacking options in the middle of the park. Upfront, Adrian Mutu is still injured, and Belghazouani is suspended. Ajaccio still at least have some depth here though and the likes of Eduardo, Tallo, Oliech and Diarra can all feature. Lorient continue to be in fairly good condition and have fairly few injuries. GK Audard is one of them, but other custodians have looked decent in his absence. Alain Traore and Mathieu Coutadeur are another duo who are ruled out, but neither has played a massive part for them this season. Its expected that both KMP and Jeremie Aliadiere will be benched here, so Lorient will at least have good substitute options if things aren’t going their way. Lorient are in good form right now. They’ve won their last 4 consecutive games, all by at least a 2 goal margin. They’ve also kept clean sheets in all of those contests. Even more impressive, they’ve won their last 2 games without their coach Christian Gourcuff on the sidelines, he’s been recovering after hip surgery. Lorient will be a popular play today, especially as Ajaccio are such a poor side and missing a lot of players. Lorient may well win this game but I prefer not to back them. It’s not usually a good idea to back away sides in France unless they are one of the better sides in the division. It’s especially not a good idea to back away sides who are actual favourites like Lorient are here. There is no value on them whatsoever but equally there’s not a chance in hell I’d back Ajaccio either. They are on my ‘poisonous teams’ list and must be avoided at all costs because they are such a bad side. But it’s never easy to travel to Corsica and if Ajaccio produce a half decent display or Lorient suddenly don’t play as well, then an away win is less than certain. Prediction: Ajaccio 0-1 Lorient Recommended bet: None Evian – Reims The big news for Evian is that key striker Kevin Berigaud is back from injury. He was in smoking hot form earlier in the campaign so obviously its a massive boost that he’s back. The only issue is that he hasn’t actually played since the 19th October so could be rusty, might only start from the bench perhaps. Fellow attacker Nicolas Benezet is still injured however and CB Aldo Angoula is suspended. Evian’s match at Sainte was postponed last week so they’ve had a 10 day period of rest and should be physically fresh for the contest. Reims have 2 big absences here. Firstly, in defence captain Mickael Tacalfred is ruled out. He’s fairly important but an even more vital loss is stud midfielder Gzegorz Krychowiak. The polish international is their best player by a long way and is the heartbeat of the team. They usually struggle without him in the team and they clearly suffered after he came off injured during the Nice match last week. I fancy Evian to win and I’m going to bet on them, the price has suddenly risen to a nice price. They usually play pretty well here at Le Parc de Sports and can be tricky opposition in front of their own fans – just ask PSG. I think the hosts have a number of factors in their favour though which should give them the edge. Like I said, they’ve had a nice 10 day break which is ideal considering the recent schedule in ligue 1 which has been quite intense. Key man Berigaud is back in the squad, and Reims have a couple of vital injuries. The visitors have only lost 2 away games all season, but as I’ve said before this record is quite false. Ok, they did finally have a legitimate victory against Sochaux a couple of weeks ago, but that was facing much weaker opposition. I just sense that Evian are going to win this game and kick on after beating PSG. As I said before, the value is now much better than it was earlier and I’m pretty confident they can prevail. I was actually going to back them @ 1.85 here, but now 1.97 is available. Prediction: Evian 2-0 Reims Recommended bet: Evian -0.25 @ 1.97 6/10 Guingamp – Monaco Both teams are in good condition ahead of this match. The big news for Guingamp is that key striker Mutstapha Yatabare is back from injury. This is massive for them because they are so much more dangerous with him in the team, even if he can be a bit of a donkey sometimes! I can guarantee you even against Monaco this guy will get chances, he always seems to put himself in some good positions. Monaco still miss their main man upfront and Falcao might not play until the new year. Winger Yannick Ferreira Carrasco is their other injury, they have no suspensions for this contest. I think this is going to be a very tricky test for Monaco and Guingamp could certainly avoid defeat. The hosts have been one of the big surprises of the season so far and competed really well. Especially here at home they have proved to be very difficult opposition and their direct style of play can cause issues. Add in a partisan crowd and an atmosphere that will be very intense for a match like this and Monaco could find themselves under some pressure. Les Monegasques have won their last 4 consecutive matches following a tricky spell last month, but I’m still not sure they’ve been that convincing. Sooner or later they are going to miss Falcao. He hasn’t actually played that well this season but still weighed in with a number of crucial goals. If PSG beat Rennes in the earlier match Monaco will find themselves under pressure to match their result. I just sense Claudio Ranieri’s side are due a poor outcome again soon and it might come here. Guingamp can’t be underestimated and they’ll treat this match like a cup final. Monaco have the extra quality and individuals who could win them the match on their own but they just haven’t shown signs of great form recently. It was worrying that they could only beat 10 man Ajaccio 1-0 last time out, seriously that is the sort of game they should be winning something like 4 or 5 nil! I’m not going to stake anything big here but I think the hosts are worth a small punt +0.5. Monaco aren’t going to have it easy at Le Stade Roudourou and its debatable if they should be such a short odds on price for this contest. Prediction: Guingamp 1-1 Monaco Recommended bet: Guingamp +0.5 @ 2.12 3/10 Nantes – Toulouse Les Canaris have a squad in fine condition and have just one absentee to worry about. Striker, Aristigueta is suspended, but he’s not really that much of a loss and he only usually warms the bench. Toulouse for once have issues with a couple of suspensions and injuries. The defensive duo of Zebina and Sylla are both banned, although arguably both might not have started anyway. But when you add into the mixer Pavle Ninkov’s injury, TFC suddenly have a lack of options at the back. Probably their most important absentee is midfielder Clement Chantome. He has such a strong engine and his presence will be missed, they certainly struggled more without him against Montpellier last weekend. Sadyl I think the bookmakers have their lines totally spot on for this game. Nantes are a good side and I quite fancy them to win, but its not usually a good idea to take on TFC away from home. They like being underdogs in games like this and are capable of being very solid. That said, Nantes might be able to take advantage of some of their absences and they are usually pretty strong at Le Stade Beaujoire. Les Canaris have also had a couple of extra days to prepare for this contest, which might make all of the difference. I would definitely back Nantes if they were a better price but I need more value if I’m going to take on TFC. Prediction: Nantes 1-0 Toulouse Recommended bet: None Nice – Sochaux Nice’s injury situation is now much better and they have gradually been welcoming back more and more players in the last couple of weeks. The latest guy back is key no1 GK David Ospina. This is a real boost because Nice’s backup custodians have been fairly poor in his absence. The only important player still out is creative midfielder Mahamane Traore, although left back Timothy Kolo is rated as doubtful. Nice are in far better condition than they have been compared to recent weeks though. Sochaux have one new injury to Joseph Lopy but they welcome back the attacking duo of Roudet and Bakambu which is a boost. This is must win territory for Nice. They have lost their last 7 consecutive matches and are in dire need of a result. Sochaux meanwhile, are in just as much trouble and still searching for their first victory under the management of Herve Renard. But Nice are much better than their recent results might suggest. They do have quality players its just that a number of things have gone against them recently. They impressed me last week at Reims and were incredible unfortunate to lose 0-1 in the last seconds of the match. Sochaux are just a poor outfit who have a general lack of talent, their defensive frailties and individual mistakes are shocking. I hate this bet and I have to admit there isn’t much value here at all but I’m going to back Nice -0.75. I’m just very confident they can end their poor run and win. Sochaux are shocking outfit and a very poisonous team, they will find a way to lose this game even if Nice don’t play that well. But the hosts will fight so hard here and be desperate to return to winning ways, They are usually pretty strong at the Allianz Riviera, losing at home recently to St Etienne, Bordeaux and Monaco is no disgrace, especially with a weakened team. As I said, there is little value here and just for once I will back something I perhaps shouldn’t but my feeling about Nice is too strong to resist. I also fancy the overs for this match. Sochaux can’t defend and I see it being an open game. Nice could actually cover this line on their own. Prediction: Nice 3-1 Sochaux Recommended bet: Nice -0.75 @ 2.02 6/10 & Over 2.5 goals @ 2.15 3/10

Yeh it's an old law which often occurs. Nice aren't actually that bad a side, but their recent form certainly is shit and they are in a desperate situation

Think I might just take tomorrow off' date=' I feel nothing is going my way this weekend. Too much effort for no reward. fuck it[/quote'] There was nothing wrong with your analysis/picks. I was watching both the Evian and Nice game (More the Evian game as I needed them to score). Both game should be have been killed much earlier. Anyway after the goal, Evian did sit back, so being afraid I settled my bet 5 mins from time. I got 95% of my winnings. I hate the 1-0 situation and I have been screwed so many times. Anyway I believe there are 3 games tonight? Please do let us know if we can slam dunk those mo'fkn game:lol

Re: Ligue 1 Orange > December 13th - 15th I have eventually decided to attack Sunday because of a couple of good prices. Bordeaux – Valenciennes Les Girondins only have one new injury for this match – wing back Julien Faubert. His loss won’t be felt much, even if he had been playing reasonably well recently. Fellow wide man Poundje is suspended, but with Lucas Orban returning he isn’t an important absentee. Bordeaux completely rested their whole team on Thursday night away against Maccabi Haifa in the EL. Their whole focus has clearly been upon this VA game and they should be completely fresh for it. The visitors still have a lot of problems in the final third of the field. The likes of Le Tallec, Pujol & Nguette are all ruled out, and even guys like Bahebeck and Chitu had minor injuries this week. To rub salt into the wound, creative midfielder Maor Melikson is suspended which reduces their attacking capabilities even more. CB Lindsay Rose is still injured and won’t play until the new year. I was really surprised to see how the bookies priced up this match. I expected Bordeaux to be much much shorter considering that there’s quite a gulf in class between the two sides. Bordeaux have been in very good form recently and won their last 3 ligue games. They are very much a confidence and momentum team and right now is a good time to be siding with them. I just don’t see how Valenciennes score in this match, they are really lacking offensive weapons. Bordeaux will likely monopolise a lot of possession here so the visitors will be chasing the ball around a lot. Bordeaux also have a really strong trend in their favour by being at home for the 14:00 KO time. 10/15 Ligue 1 games have ended as home wins so far this season when starting at this time. There’s a similar trend in Ligue 2 as well, only really good sides seem to be able to cope by starting on the road at an early time. Bordeaux were in between a -1.25 and -1.5 AH line at home to Ajaccio a couple of weeks ago and they easily won 4-0. Valenciennes are one of 3 teams currently on my ‘poisonous’ list and aren’t really much better than the Corsicans. Maybe they are a slight improvement, although arguably some would say on the road they are actually worse if you consider the tactical set up of both teams. Basically Bordeaux should be about a -1.25 line here or a -1 at odds on. Instead, there is a very generous price on them today which I’m going to tuck into. I think they’ll win the match comfortably and score at least a couple of goals. But as I mentioned before, my most confident factor surrounding Bordeaux today is in defence. I think there’s a strong chance they will keep a clean sheet which is one of the reasons which makes them a very attractive proposition for me. This price is miles too big and I’m willing to stake fairly highly here. Prediction: Bordeaux 3-0 Valenciennes Recommended bet: Bordeaux -1 @ 2.21 7/10 Lille – Bastia LOSC have a squad in good condition yet again with only minor players injured. Bastia do have problems to contend with though, especially in midfield where the duo of Cahuzac and Romaric are suspended. They also have stud attacker Wahbi Khazri injured along with Gianni Bruno. Bastia are going to be really outclassed in midfield today and they could be seriously overpowered by the likes of Balmont and Mavuba. Losing Khazri is a bitter blow too, they just didn’t seem the same team without him against Lyon last week. Lille finally conceded a goal last week, albeit it was an OG scored by Simon Kjaer. It’s very difficult to penetrate them from open play and it’s difficult to see Bastia achieving this today. They looked hopeless at home to Lyon in the 2nd half last week and hardly threatened Remy Vercoutre, so how on earth are they going to come close to penetrating the best defence in Ligue 1? The answer is that they more than likely won’t which leaves them open to an inevitable defeat. Lille aren’t the greatest of goalscorers, but even they should be able to fill their boots here. Bastia are renowned for being poor travellers and if you consider their absences Lille should be able to claim a comfortable win today. I think now that their clean sheet record has ended, it might free them up a bit allowing them to play more open football. Les Dogues will also be hurting following their defeat to Bordeaux and I expect a strong response. I like the idea of backing them -1.25 here. At the very worst they should win which would mean a half loss, but it’s pretty probable that this ends as a blowout success. The good thing with Lille is that you can rely on them to keep it tight as the back which increases the chances of this handicap covering. Prediction: Lille 2-0 Bastia Recommended bet: Lille -1.25 @ 2.06 5/10 Lyon – Marseille OL don’t have many injury concerns ahead of this match. They have no new fresh problems and just have Jimmy Briand and Mouhamadou Dabo on the sidelines. They rested a lot of players for the midweek clash at Guimaraes in the Europa League, so that match won’t be a factor. Marseille still have the attacking duo of Andre Ayew and Mathieu Valbuena injured, whilst midfielder Alexis Romao is suspended. They actually fielded a fairly strong side in midweek against Dortmund, and considering they played with 10 men for 60 mins, some players might struggle physically towards the end of this match. This is the ‘Olympico’ clash but both teams have only been mediocre this season. It’s not going to be the sort of exciting contest that it once was, even though the rivalry is still there between the two teams. Lyon have a pretty good record against OM in recent years and only lost 1 of their last 12 against them inside 90 mins. The visitors have sacked Elie Baup recently and Jose Anigo will be in charge of this game. Whether or not he can help propel them into playing better football I’m not sure, it might be that OM don’t start to improve until after the winter break. I have no real feel for this game and have the feeling it could be a damp squib. Neither side is playing particularly well at the moment and I could see something like a 0-0 occuring. The bookies look to have their lines set pretty fair and I prefer to not bet this contest. Prediction: Lyon 0-0 Marseille Recommended bet: None

Re: Ligue 1 Orange > December 13th - 15th I've absolutely had it up to here now this weekend, my frustration is immense. Both teams should've covered their handicaps today but once again a number of weird things occurred. Valenciennes hardly created a chance all match and then scored randomly from a corner. Bordeaux managed to turn it around but inexplicably had a late goal ruled out for a non existent foul, they also missed a couple of good chances to score later on too. The only piece of luck I had in this match was that Valenciennes missed a penalty at 1-1. Then to top things off, in the Lille match Bastia scored an absolute screamer after 4 mins. A totally freak goal which you just can't legislate for. Lille dominated all the match after this goal though and soon went ahead. They had a goal wrongly disallowed for offside and created countless other chances too. I have no idea how they only won this game 2-1. This has been my worst weekend of the season. I've lost 12 units in Ligue 1 and 12 units in Ligue 2. I have to apologise to all because this is clearly unacceptable. Most of the damage was done on Friday night and I just haven't been able to recoup those losses, albeit not for lack of trying. Hope to hit back next weekend in the final round before the winter break. Some fucking luck would help matters, it all went missing this round.
