Re: Serie A > December 14th - 16th I immediately like the look of Parma, as well as Hellas (0). Livorno +1 could also be a play given the troubles Lazio have been experiencing, as well as their EL match on Thursday. I'll probably look for in-play opportunities on Roma as I don't see them losing to Milan.

I'll probably look for in-play opportunities on Roma as I don't see them losing to Milan.[/quote'] It's ashame Catania have so many key injuries at the momment as I would prefer to go the other way and back the home side on a +0 V Hellas as they are fairly rank on the road but unfortunately Catania's injury problems show no sign of slowing as we speak which effectively turns the game into a coinflip. Initially had Livorno +1 shorlisted but now not so sure, have been watching Lazio recently and they are just so poor (Sampdoria game was particularly hilarious). Pretty sure Petkovic would already be vapor if the club could get their act together and supersede him with a decent replacement but it seems there maybe some bungling going on behind the scenes. The trouble I have with the Livorno game is that Livorno cannot retain possesion at the best of times and this may well play into Lazio's hands, particularly as they are at home. +1 for Livorno may look big on the surface as people will ask where are the Lazio goals gonna come from at the momment? I'm not sure myself but they will probably dominate Livorno this weekend possesion wise and that could lead to a potential mauling.

I also like the look of Sampdoria +0' date='25 away at Chievo Verona. Sampdoria won both matches with their new coach (1 cup game + 1 league match). We all know the new manager effect. Does either side have any missings?[/quote'] Chievo : Dramé, Claiton & Calello Sampdoria : Castellini & Barrilla Please note Cheivo is undefeated in six matches and won the last four. Three in Serie A.

Re: Serie A > December 14th - 16th Guys, what do you think about the match between Genoa and Atalanta? I am considering a bet on Genoa DNB or -0.25AH as they are pretty strong at home since Gasperini took control and Atalanta on the other hand are very poor away. As far as I know Manfredini will miss the game due to the red card he received in the last game and he probably will be replaced again by Gioavanni Marchese, so I don't see this as a big problem. In Gazzeta dello Sport I read Atalanta will miss Cazzola, Bonaventura and Bellini, while doubtful are Stendardo, Yepes, Raimondi and Del Grosso. Genoa lost only twice at home by Napoli and Fiorentina, so what is the chance the 3rd defeat to come from Atalanta?

Re: Serie A > December 14th - 16th Should be noted that Catania have Bergessio, Barrientos and Izco back in the squad for the Hellas game which is a big boost. Hellas without key CM Jorginho with a fever. Catania +0 line has dropped accordingly from 17/20 to 41/50. With the latest developments I struggle to see Hellas getting all 3pts from this game but it still should be a close run match as Catania still have a couple of important absences to deal with and some of their returning stars wont be 100% match fit. I can see this game ending in a draw or narrow home win but AH odds for home side are pretty unappealing as things stand.

Indeed Atalanta are normally poor on the road and Genoa will target the 3pts here but I just think this game is very difficult to fathom and I would not be comfortable predicting any outcome. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Genoa might be in good form but there are some news is that Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has claimed he lost €140M by investing in football and he's likely to sell some star players from the team. Atalanta's away form have never been impressive, but I think the latest news might affect Genoa badly. If Atalanta didn't have the mentioned absentees I'd have taken + hcp on them.

Re: Serie A > December 14th - 16th I've decided to skip Juventus game, they played a very difficult UCL match. (Line is way too big) I am on Overs in this one, 2.5 Goals at 1.75 Pinnacle or Over 2.75 Goals can be backed for the better odds. It is a six-pointer match between the two teams who are in the race of the top three spots. Napoli are out of UCL and now they can fully focus on Serie A, aiming to keep themselves in the title race alongside Juventus and Roma, at least to protect their 3rd position. Their defense has not been impressive lately as the team has started to concede a lot of goals, conceding last week three goals from the Udinese side, who played without their regular strikers Muriel and Di Natale. (?!?!) Full-backs Mesto and Zuniga, very important midfielder Hamsik are out due to injuries, while gk Reina, defensive midfielder Behrami and striker Pandev are doubtful. Coach Benitez is likely to make some changes in the defense due to the fitness issues of his regular defenders. Napoli have won only once in their last four Serie A fixtures and do not have any luxury of dropping points. Inter made a great start to the campaign but they have lost their consistency as they have started to drop points against the weaker teams. Inter are winless in their last three fixtures since their 2-0 Livorno victory in Milano. As it seems Inter's defensive problems are bigger than Napoli's since Inter have kept only one clean sheet in their last 12 games. Strikers Diego Milito and Icardi are back from the injuries, expecting to start on the bench. Defender Samuel is going to miss out due to injury. Coach Mazzarri will be eager to achieve a good result against his former team Napoli, knowing Napoli's weak points. Napoli won 3-1 against Inter in the last meeting on their home turf and Napoli haven't lost even a single match against Inter since 1997. Napoli should be slight favorites of winning this match, but I am going to bet on totals since the team has not been stable in their Serie A matches when they had tough and busy schedules. I just can't see that shaky Inter defense going to stop the on-fire Napoli offense, including the great players like Insigne - Mertens and Higuain, but they should be able to cause problems to Napoli defense with their well-working offensive trio of Alvarez, Guarin and Palacio. Good luck!

Re: Serie A > December 14th - 16th I can't see Milan winning against Roma and I think X2 is very good bet at @1.65 Bet365. We all know how damn weak are Milan and how good is Roma's team this season. The Rossoneri lost against all top 6 sides that they faced so far 3:2 Juventus, 2:1 Verona and 3:2 Parma - those are the away games, at San Siro they lost vs Napoli 1:2 with Balotelli scoring a goal in the additional time and 0:2 vs Fiorentina. Now they face Roma which is 11-4-0 and had already won a lot of big matches - 2:0 Napoli, 0:3 Inter Milano, 3:0 Verona, 2:0 Lazio, 1:3 Parma, and 2:1 last weekend vs Fiorentina. I was on Ajax +1 in the midweek and now I feel secure with my X2 bet as Roma is not Ajax and they definitely could produce much better game vs AC Milan. Also Totti is back which is a big boost for the Wolves. ROMA OR DRAW @1.65 - BET365 / BIG STAKES ROMA -1 AH @6.00 - BET365 / SMALL STAKES

Re: Serie A > December 14th - 16th Thankfully I didn't bite on anything this weekend as the teams I was interested in all flopped to some degree. I have always liked Roma in tonight's match against Milan and share the above thoughts. I don't envisage Roma losing tonight, and a win is well within their grasp. There are a few areas of discussion, but the major one from Milan's perspective is whether Balotelli can rise above the likely poor performance of his teammates and do the business. It's a tough ask for him because he is up against what is currently the best CB partnership in the league. Both Benatia and Castan are mentally sound and physically sound making them good all-round defenders. Roma's fullbacks aren't great by any means but given Milan's lack of wide threat they should be comfortable. On the whole I give the edge to the CB's in this battle, though Balotelli is always capable of a shock moment. Matri and Kaka are likely to be in and around him but I don't think they'll cause too many problems. Roma are without Pjanic which is a knock to the midfield as Bradley is no replacement, but can run and hassle enough to do a job tonight. With Strootman and DDR alongside him I would imagine they will have the better time than Milan's three. Montolivo does not tend to rise in big games, and De Jong with Muntari, does not compare to Strootman and DDR currently. Roma will prefer to attack in swift movements from midfield to the strikers. If Milan play with some confidence and try to hold the ball high up the pitch they will leave a lot of ground for counter-attacks. Roma can play with the ball, but they prefer to play a direct style with incisive passing. The name 'Milan' still conjures powerful status and therefore to sit back and play a withdrawn game for 90 minutes, at home to Roma, would not go down well. Even if they did there is still a chance they would lose, at which point all hell would likely break loose. Therefore I would expect them to offer some intent, but if Balotelli doesn't turn up, they offer so little threat that a win is unlikely and they will get caught out at the back. Roma have the better players and manager at the moment. If Totti can play a part then that is a bonus but even without him I fancy them to get a result. I am happy to take the +0.25 line and will see if there is an appropriate time to get on them for the win in-play. over the day I think it may shorten a little. Roma +0.25 - 1.850 - 6 points

Re: Serie A > December 14th - 16th I am going to bet on half time draw at 2.10 Ladbrokes. Despite having very quality forward line, Milan have been struggling to create chances of scoring even against the small teams of Serie A. The biggest reason is that their midfield as Montolivo is in a bad shape and Muntari & De Jong duo are hard-workers, lacking creativity. Today they will face a much tougher opponent who has conceded only impressive five goals in 15 matches. El Shaarawy and Pazzini are still out, so Matri (probably one of the worst transfers of the club history!) is likely to start alongside Kaka and Balotelli up-front. I am expecting a slow start from Roma today as they have always been slow starters in the first halves of their matches because of coach Rudi Garcia's tactical approach. They will miss Pjanic, meaning they will lack creativity in midfield but surely they still will be able to outplay Milan's midfield with the outstanding midfielders De Rossi and Strootman. Probably they will be using right-flank to hit Milan since Maicon is going to have a great match-up against Emanuelson. Also Garcia is planning to hit Milan with Gervinho and Florenzi's speed, who are extremely dangerous on counter attacks.

Re: Serie A > December 14th - 16th Roma Over (1 goals) @ 1.69 Pinnacle Very exciting match completes the 16-th round of Serie A. Milan will try again to find its game and earn points and Roma will try to come and close the gap between Juventus and them. The coaches won’t be able to put the optimal line-ups. Let’s start to with the away team “Roma”. Left wing back Federico Balzaretti will be replaced by his teammate “Dodo”. These players are a little different in terms of play and style: Young Dodo is faster and more willing to go forward, on the other hand Federico is stronger defensively. This substitution will lead that the left flank(wing) of Roma will be more vulnerable, but will threat more danger upfront. Marco Borrielo will be available again who score 1 goal this season. This is not surprising, because the style of Roma involves the whole team in attacking mode, where anyone can score goals. For example, the player “Miralem Pjanic” who is unfortunately unavailable for Roma. This is a very significant loss, but the questions stand whether this will break the game of Roma? First of all, the living legend“Totti”return to action and will be available this time. Secondly, if we analyse another group of players who are more attacking: (Daniele De Rossi, Alessando Florenzi, Kevin Strootman, Adem Ljalic, Gervinho) it is possible to make the conclusion that Roma is the united team, where all players are interchangeable. No coincidence that almost all of them, except for De Rossi who is more defensively-minded, have scored 3 or 4 goals. Therefore, our analysis of Roma absences tells us that despite their apart seriousness, they are not critical and the team can play well its a game that brings success. On the other hand, we have “AC Milan” who is in much worse condition. They have injuries from both flanks including “Ignazio Abate and Kevin Constant.” Attacking wise they will be missing Robinho and Birsa. Young star El Shaarawy won’t be available again. All together they have some serious losses, especially in defence that can play large role in the game of Milan in contrast of Roma. This season Milan have gotten some negative trends in their game. I will try to identify the major chronic imbalance in the defends that allows to opponents to create a lot of chances near Milan goal, defending set-pieces, protecting the score. These are all trends they have been weak at this season. Let’s look at them in relation to today’s opponent Milan. Roma, on the contrary, creates and have the strong finishing of their chances, good game on set-pieces and are very strong at protecting the lead. Milan have good defenders including Phillipe Meses, Zapata, De Jong. However, all of them share one drawback – they keep fouling more than they should. Perhaps this is the reason that Milan is not good at defending on set-pieces. They are allowing opponents many of them. When it comes to gorgeous skilful players of Roma, which are difficult to stop without breaking the rules! You remember that Roma are very strong at this component. You can make a conclusion by yourself from what I described above. The last week AC Milan played a hard game against Ajax without goals (0-0) just with 24 Ajax shots on target. It is more than enough for top-team like AC Milan. And it is effects of defensive troubles in AC Milan, that is no consequence of misses. Roma had a rest and will be fresher. In this situation for AC Milan the draw should be a good result. Will Milan play in closed play? No, of course! Massimiliano Allegri’s team must go forward and win especially home. But Roma is very strong in counterattack too and they can realize this opportunity. Roma had so much the trumps today. And Roma will score without fail. Will AC Milan score? Can they win? No doubts that AC Milan isn’t the favourite today and bet 2X are most valuable. World-class players for AC Milan and if they’ll win their victory wouldn’t a sensation. Also no doubts that AC Milan will make a clean sheet, best bet is Roma(O1). Key stat: Roma scored in all of their away games this season in Serie A. Good luck!

Re: Serie A > December 14th - 16th Roma has played 15 matches in Serie A , and the "wolves" no defeats. The team plays exactly the same as on the road and at home. Matches on the road : 5-2-0. Have beaten , Livorno (2:0) , Parma (3:1), Sampdoria (2:0) , Inter (3:0) , Udinese (1:0) , drawn Torino (1:1) and Atalanta ( 1:1). Roma impressive for its defense : only 5 conceded in 15 matches , the best result in Europe - Milan and Roma met in Serie A 156 times. Rossoneri won 71 match , losing 39 - Milan won only 3 of 14 previous matches against Roma in Serie A (= 5-6) - In the five previous games these teams at the San Siro each won twice , and in another meeting was a draw 0:0 - Milan can not win at home three games in a row - the first time since April 2010. And the last time failed to win any of the four home matches in a row in 2007/08 season - Last week, beating Fiorentina, Roma broke a series of four consecutive draws in Serie A - Roma is one of two teams in the five strongest European championships , which still has not suffered a single defeat. The other is Bayern Munchen - The last team that managed to score to Roma more than one goal is Palermo - in March this year sicilians beat them at home 2-0 - This season, the Roma players , when coming as substitute , scored five goals - the most in Serie A - Over the last two games of the championship Milan striker Mario Balotelli scored three goals , but at the San Siro he hasnt scored since September 22 , when he managed to hit the target in the game against Napoli - Francesco Totti scored against AC Milan seven goals , five of which - at San Siro (including two doubles) Well, let's see. If you omit the big names Milan and Roma , here we have the opposition team, which is just 5 points off the relegation zone , with a team that has not lost a single game this season. Milan sadly in crisis, and any gaps in the game, I do not see , though I look almost every match. Sooo sad game in attack , regular mistakes in defense. Even if teams like Livorno can score to them 2 goals , then I do not know ... Some set of team play, some not pictured at all. As a result, Milan have won just four times in Serie A , all - over weak teams (at home vs Cagliari , Udinese and Sampdoria + away Catania). Absolutely all matches against top opponents Milan lost. At San Siro Allegri could not beat even other romans - Lazio , who this season look much less interesting than Roma ... This again is not surprising , almost all the matches are held in one scenario. Milan unprincipled and mild attacks, fumbling with the ball in the center of the field , but does not reach the dangerous moments. Red and Black can take a bus stand and defend the right way- as it was with Ajax , or with Barcelona in the Champions League at home but when Milan is trying to play the first number, and the opponent has a good fast forwards (and at Roma they are fast) - it is always a defeat. Milan tried to play the first number in the match against Napoli , but Callejon and Higuain punished them. Tried to play the first number with Parma and Fiorentina , but there is excellent counterattacked Cassano/Byabyani and Cuadrado/Vargas. Even poor Torino , with very shy attack Cerci and Immobile , almost beat Milan - red and black were saved thanks to a controversial penalty on the 96th minute. In the Champions League , as you saw, in the case of Milan is not much better than in the Serie A - with Ajax stood 0-0 at home, with Celtic have won only thanks to a goal after a rebound , with Barca - sadness ... In general, from Milan now remain the name. According to the content of the game and the results of it - the middle placed team in Serie A, no more. And all the top teams beat Milan, so far. However, this is not the first season. Allegri does not know how to win the top matches in Serie A. Last season - only one major victory of the season , Juventus 1-0 at home thanks to a goal from the penalty spot. More - no win in five matches against other opponents of the top 4. If we extend to the top 6 , there will be another victory - Udinese at home. Just a year ago - just one win in 10 matches against opponents of the top 6 , away over Udinese. And even in his championship season at home Allegri could not beat either Juventus or Roma or Lazio or even Udinese. In short, the utter impotence in matches against top opponents. In such teams as the current Roma , Allegri at the best of times, Milan did not win. And so now ... Well, one additional factor - Milan basic composition played 200% match against Ajax in the Champions League during midweek. Played most of the match with 10 men , so a huge amount of strength left. Of course, should be enough time to recover , but fatigue is not going away - Roma plays one game a week, Milan 2. Roma - great , balanced , stable team. Still no defeat of the season. More good news - Totti back , without which wolves stalled a few games in a row and tied. So recreated wonderful bunch Totti - Florence, plus Gervinho too is healthy - but it's just forward of the type which is not like Milan defenders , fast and technically. To sum it up... my oppinion (a Juve fan) about this fixture: *Milan not doing very good in the championship , however, the situation is gradually getting better in terms of physical fitness. Allegri's team always fail in this period, but then dispersed. After the break (first half of game) Milan has added greatly to physics. The team is running and breathing much better. It is not in as bad as a month ago. Do not get bets on extra numbers. Milan are back to life, just before the match against Ajax they have played 3 away games scoring 8 goals, including a very clear win in Glasgow v local Celtic (3:0). Allegri will be able to build a team that will show stable game throughout the season , that Milan will be able to achieve very much. His team showed a lots potential in the second half of last season and the latest results are positive, and from this point I fully agree with the odds set by the majority of bookies. Milan at this point cannot play the first number against AS Roma and will play like the old team who stopped not once the most offensive team in the world, FC Barcelona. Tip: AC Milan Win at 2.40 Unibet (like 2:1 the final score) Tip: AC Milan score 2+ goals 2.20 Bet365 Well.. in bocca al lupo ))
