Blue Square & Betfair

Re: Blue Square & Betfair I received an e-mail last night that they're merging. I'm wondering how this affects Grosvenor, as they're part of the Blue Square group (and you can log in with the Blue Sq. details - can we still? Going to check now...). And apparently, we can still access Grosvenor with a Blue Sq. username and password. I wonder if we need to be on red alert about it though?

Re: Blue Square & Betfair Bit bloody annoying - I deposited on Blue Square at the weekend for GUKPT sats, and now they're gone - only benefit seems to be 2 go's at the $5k freeroll, as both sites have given me top VIP level. I rang Betfair yesterday, to say could the two be combined, and was told no, you'll just have 2 different usernames - I thought that was something most sites tried to prevent :lol:lol

Re: Blue Square & Betfair This is the email I got yesterday. I hadn't checked the poker site, thought it was just the betting side. Dear , We have some important information regarding your Blue Square Bet account. Please take a moment to read through it carefully. As of today, 2nd April 2013, you will no longer be able to bet with Blue Square Bet as we have transferred accounts to Betfair. We would like to assure you that all funds are perfectly safe and secure. Any unsettled bets will be honoured and settled by Betfair. Please take a look below at how this may affect you. What do I do now? You now need to activate your new account by going to bluesq.com where you will be asked to enter your existing Blue Square Bet username and password. Your username is . If you have forgotten your password you will need to call Betfair Customer Services on 0844 871 0000 and they will be able to reset this for you. ACTIVATE MY ACCOUNT NOW What happens to the money I had in my Blue Square Bet account? Any funds you had in your account, including free bets, bonus cash, promotional funds, ipoints and loyalty points have all been transferred to Betfair. The good news is you will be able to access all funds in full and use these how you wish. Any withdrawals that have already been made from Blue Square Bet will be processed as normal. What will happen to my unsettled bets? If you had any unsettled bets they have been transferred to Betfair. These will be honoured and settled by Betfair with any returns credited to your new Betfair account. I already have a Betfair account. What happens to me? You will still need to activate your transferred account with Betfair by entering the username and password you previously used on Blue Square Bet. You will still be able to log into your existing Betfair account with your existing Betfair login details. I am unfamiliar with Betfair. Can I still place fixed odds sports bets with them? Yes. Betfair offer fixed odds betting on all the markets that you have been used to betting on at Blue Square Bet. They also have a betting exchange with further betting options, as well as market-leading Casino, Games, Bingo and Poker products. For further queries please email [email protected], call 0844 871 0000 or view more information by clicking here. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for betting with Blue Square Bet and wish you luck in the future. The Blue Square Bet Team

Re: Blue Square & Betfair And what about if you won live seats via a satellite at Grosvenor, using Blue Sq. login details, I wonder. You can't unregister, so can't receive the buyin back, thus it can't be transferred to Betfair. I'm not logging into Blue Square until I know the answer to this. I have written to Grosvenor and Betfair. Let's see if the answers match.

But I am worried. Hearing about people migrating accounts and can't get into Grosvenor, and aren't seeing their stuff in Betfair, be it cash, tokens, seats, whatever...

Re: Blue Square & Betfair I've not attempted to do anything with my Blue Sq account yet and logged into Grosvenor tonight intending to withdraw the balance for now in case of any problem, but my account is locked for security. Emailed and got quick response, seems I will just have to wait it out. All my balance is in Grosvenor account with nothing in Blue Sq (or that's how it should be anyway). I am not intending to re-activate the Blue Sq account as I already have a Betfair account anyway. Probably a good job we don't have a league this month, guess not many of us would be able to play it anyway! Dear Helen, Thank you for your email dated 08/04/13 22:46:02 o'clock BST, regarding the technical issues experienced on our site. Firstly, I would like to apologise for the issues encountered and any inconvenience this had caused. As you may know we have migrated bluesquare accounts to betfair unfortunately accounts first registered with bluesquare but continuing to use Grosvenor are experiencing some technical issues. We will have a resolution for this very soon. I will not be able to take any action on the account until we have resolved the above issue. We appreciate your patience. Thanks for choosing Grosvenor Casino

Re: Blue Square & Betfair Called Grosvenor tnite as i have all of £17 in my account. Anyway, as i set up the account through blue square, the money cannot be sent to betfair and will jsut sit there. I asked, if i did not contact them, would they eventually contact me to let me know i need to get the money moved, to which they replied they would eventually contact everyone, but could not put a timrframe on it! Anyway bottom line, you need to contact them and they will then start the process of withdrawing your funds Complete shambles, why they cannot sent a generic email advising players to contact them to see if they have any funds and to close the account i dont know except that all those with a few quid and cant be bothered, Grosvenor will now get those funds!

Re: Blue Square & Betfair If they had warned us about the merger we could have withdrawn before it went t*ts up. I've nothing in Blue Sq but about £50 in G, so I'll give it a few more days before contacting again. Anyway, decided to make a pre-emptive strike on my other ipoker accounts and have withdrawn from Genting and Circus (after having to update my expired card and make a deposit from it). Confirmation today that money on its way. :ok Betfred, no confirmation yet. Paddy Power could not update my card as I had too much money in my account! I couldn't withdraw to my card as it had expired. So I have had to arrange for a cheque to be sent. :lol Gotta love the irish!

Yeah, mine ran out too, with too much money in there... I sent them a bit of a funny e-mail about can't withdraw to card because it's expired, so can I update it, but I can't because I'm not below their bizarre-never-heard-of upper limit, so I'll withdraw some to card, but I can't because it expired, so please can I update it, but I can't because... etc etc They act like they never heard of a card running out. Note the word 'act'.

  • 2 weeks later...

Re: Blue Square & Betfair So, having had funds in my Grosvenor-via-Blue Square account and seeing nothing in Betfair when I migrated, I sent e-mails to the support e-mails of both Blue Square and Betfair and received silence. Last night, I thought I'd ask Grosvenor if they had it, because it appeared my old account with them no longer existed when I tried the password/username assistance. They said yeah, they've got it, they've restored my old account and sorry about any difficulties I've been facing. Add to this that Betfair did us over with the iPhone thing, and add to this that Grosvenor kindly agreed to transfer my PPUKT seat to a less expensive location after a mix-up over expenses. Who do you think most people would feel like dealing with? Still, they do offer good odds... grr
