bartrum Posted February 7, 2013 Share Posted February 7, 2013 Re: Genting Poker Series 2013 cheers Bart, looks like its gonna smash the 100k gaurantee..... biggest tourne by far i have ever played in.... im used to playing the deepstacks for 30 quid which turn into bingo after about 10 levels due to blind increases etc.... will be a whole new experience but lookimg forward to it, totally different game though id imagine!!!! bartrum Posted February 10, 2013 Share Posted February 10, 2013 Re: Genting Poker Series 2013 well finally out in 37th for £850. 478 runners so pretty pleased for my first tourne at thi slevel. got to play with ross and barney boatman and sat next to joe beavers for most of today which was quality.... i have learnt a hell of a lot for the future.... was average stack for most of the time but lost a big flip with aq vs 10's and the 10's held . had to change my game plan to laddering after that anyway will certainly be playing more satelites now as the longer format certainly suits my game.... Grand Final online sats no longer showing in lobby which seems to confirm it. Might still change and plenty of time to get official confirmation, but just an early headsup for anyone trying to pencil stuff into their diaries already. Unique to this leg is an online day 1 which may help some in terms of travelling logistics & cost, but of course make sure you can make day 2 live in Southend should you make it through. I might make a somewhat lame attempt to get in via a few remaining sat tokens and a small investment, but car problems are still causing logistical problems at the moment. Defence of online leg still very much priority for the seat I've already won.
