Aidymac
Re: Spurs v Chelsea > Oct 20 *Draw @ 3.5 Betfair* I think the value lies with the draw here in this closely contested match. Both sides have been in terrific form of late, Spurs unbeaten in their last 9 and Chelsea unbeaten in their last 7. Chelsea have won 6 of their 7 games in the premier league so far and the other was a draw, even when they don't play well they seem to be getting the result, but this game could be their toughest to date. Spurs won at Old Trafford, and although got battered in the second half, they still won the game, and i actually am starting to think Villas Boas could be the man for them now, after being sceptical earlier in the season when they were not playing well. I think he was under far too much pressure at Chelsea, and could not deliver, but giving him time at Spurs, i think he can do a great job, and he will be looking to get one over on Chelsea at the weekend. This is also a fierce derby, a must not lose game or both sides. The only player out for Chelsea is Sturridge, everyone else is available for Di Matteo, so they have a very strong squad coming into this fixture, and are 4 points clear at the top. Assou-Ekotto, Kaboul, Naughton, Livermore, Jenas and Parker are all out for Spurs but they definately have enough talent in the team to trouble Spurs. I think the play for this match is the draw as it is so hard to split them.

SALVO7ITALY
Re: Spurs v Chelsea > Oct 20 By beating Man Utd last time out will now get Chelsea's full attention. Spurs won't go out to stop Chelsea but attack them full on. Chelsea have a quicker side and feel this is great value for money on Chelsea. This is def high stakes for me and will be putting 10pts on Chelsea Draw no bet @ evens with Bet365. Should be a nice start to the weekend. Hutcho_CFC
Re: Spurs v Chelsea > Oct 20 I am highly biased, but i think we have the better team, and whilst tottenham have several players who can trouble us (I.E. Bale, lennon, Dembele etc), i look at our trio of hazard mata and oscar and think that should cause a lot of problems for the spurs defence. We also seemed to be more settled now, with rambo and mikel in the 2 holding roles which has looked extremely solid. Tottenhams defence should find them hard to handle. I can see this being a close game however. Chelsea on the DNB at evens looks good. If torres can put his scoring boots on and convert some of the various chances our AM will create for him we should win this, if he doesn't which wouldn't surprise anyone, then i can see this being a draw or one team just knicking it. Look out for hazard being denied another pen. We had 2 definates beng disallowed in the last game against norwich which didn't matter in the end. hoddspur
Re: Spurs v Chelsea > Oct 20 1st goalscorer - Jan Vertonghen 28/1 @ BetVictor Not going to have a bet on this game as i don't bet on games involving my team but a longshot for this game that i would recommend is 1st goalscorer - Jan Vertonghen 28/1 @ Bet Victor. Or to be more cautious you could back Vertonghen anytime scorer which is an incredible 11/1 @ bwin. Normally i don't do 1st goalscorer bets but this one screams value. Since he has joined Tottenham Vertonghen has been 1st goalscorer in two games already and he has become a genuine attacking threat for Spurs when he has had to fill in a left back for Assou-Ekotto and he has had a great relationship with Bale down the left side so far this season. He is also a threat from set-pieces both taking free-kicks and being able to get on the end of them and he has a thunderous left foot on him. So for me 28/1 for him to score first is too big to ignore.
kevshat
Re: Spurs v Chelsea > Oct 20 4pts Over 2.5 goals 4/5 Bet365 John Terry will be a big loss for Chelsea in this match so I expect Spurs to get some joy going forward in the match but equally I expect Chelsea with the likes of Torres, Hazard and Mata to get in behind the Spurs defence too so the natural bet to me looks like being over 2.5 goals. Chelsea’s last four in all competitions have gone over 2.5 goals and there’s been two or more in Spurs’ last 5 including two of their last three league games so I like over 2.5 goals here. CFCWatson
Re: Spurs v Chelsea > Oct 20 Geez, plenty of stats being used for this one... Not complaining but it's interesting to see. Chelsea DNB @1.95 Sportsbet Very hard to ignore Chelsea at these odds with some draw cover. Both sides have been in fantastic form and are obviously on their own respective winning streaks, but I'd have to side with the Blues in what I expect to be an open and free flowing game. I can't see either manager taking a backward step and setting up to restrict the scoring. If it is a free flowing and scoring game like I imagine, then I'd fancy the likes of Oscar/Mata/Hazard/Torres to really get on top here. There's just too much attacking talent to ignore, and they've proven they can all play together. Can't say too many negative things about Spurs here, as they have impressed me in their last few outings - but head to head I think Chelsea are the better side and are capable of scoring more goals on their day. Rockettman
Re: Spurs v Chelsea > Oct 20 KEY STATS

TOTTENHAM CHELSEA

Tottenham have lost just 2 of their last 22 league games at home. Have not won on their last 6 visits to White Hart Lane

INJURIES/SUSPENSIONS Tottenham: Naughton and Livermore are set for returns back to the match day squad, but Parker, Assou-Ekotto and Kaboul remain long term absentees. Chelsea: Bertrand, Lampard and Sturridge are all on the brink of a return to action, whilst John Terry serves the first game of his 4 match ban. VERDICT While a lot of the focus here will undoubtedly be on Villas-Boas facing his former club for the first time, it is important not to forget the recent improvements his side have made. Spurs are chasing a 5th successive league win for the first time in 2012, and are unbeaten since losing to Newcastle back on the 18th of August. AvB was criticized for his defensive approach to his first few league games, as they ended slipping to disappointing 1-1 draws against West Brom and Norwich, and contrary to common belief, we could see a similar approach being employed here. Confidence has grown since the stunning victory at Old Trafford, but whilst Tottenham do have a good chance of being the first side to beat Chelsea in the league this season, the match is very evenly poised. Chelsea will undoubtedly be affected by the absence of John Terry, as he serves the first game of his 4 game suspension, but like Spurs, Chelsea come into the game on a great run of form. They have won their last 3 games, are unbeaten in their last 7 they sit 4 points clear at the top of the Premier League. The likes of Mata and Hazard have been sparkling of late, and even Fernando Torres has re-discovered his shooting boots, but can the Blues pick up all 3 points here? Having won down the road at the Emirates you would have to give Chelsea a strong chance, but I see the potential for both sides to cancel each other out here… VALUE BET Draw @12/5 (Various)
Hermit
Re: Spurs v Chelsea > Oct 20 1pt Spurs in race to 7 corners 11/8 Bet365 This is more of a get a run for your money bet than anything else however after looking at the stats I think it is worth a go. For starters Chelsea don't do corners. Only had 10 in their 3 away games at Wigan(1), QPR(4) and Arsenal(5) whilst giving away 7, 2 and 6 in those respective matches. Spurs have racked up 35 in their 5 home games reaching 7 or more on 3 occasions. Even away from home they have got 6,5,4 and 5 (ManU). Furthermore the last three matches at WHL are 6/4, 1/7 and 13/4. With Bet365 Spurs are 11/10 to get over 6.5 corners so might as well do 11/8 fairly safe in the knowledge Chelsea will not get 7. GL to all this weekend. blackcrow
Re: Spurs v Chelsea > Oct 20 Over 3.5 @ 3.07 sportsbet Tottenham have strung together 4 good wins where they have scored at least two goals in each of these games, but their last game against Aston Villa was the only time in their seven games to date in the EPL that they have kept a clean sheet. Now meet a Chelsea side with several quality attacker who also have been scoring goals, as they have scored at least twice in 5 of their 7 games, and have conceded to Arsenal and Norwich in their last two games. Chelsea are without their rock in defence as Terry is suspended and not too confident in Luiz and Cahill back there, but neither too sure on Caulker and Gallas for Spurs. Like the look of both teams scoring here and would not be surprised that there are quite a few scored here 18-26 (-3.06)

CFCWatson
Re: Spurs v Chelsea > Oct 20 Geez, plenty of stats being used for this one... Not complaining but it's interesting to see. Chelsea DNB @1.95 Sportsbet ;) Very hard to ignore Chelsea at these odds with some draw cover. Happy with that. Great game to watch, would have been very interesting to see how things would of panned out had Bale played.
