Re: Scottish Football > September 22 Hello all, Decided to get back involved in here this week now the SPL is well under way. It's been a tricky start to the season, with the form book accounting for very little so far. Scottish football is a crazy place right now, with very little focus actually on the football. I don't need to delve too deeply into the other issues, but Rangers and the Scotland sideshow have been unwelcome distractions for me. Anyway, there's a full card this weekend and one bet I like... Ross County v St Johnstone: St Johnstone (0AH)@ 2.19 with Pinnacle (4/10) The Highlanders have acquitted themselves well in the SPL, they remain unbeaten (they're now 40-odd league games without a loss including last season), but this seems about the right time to go against them. It would be stretching it to say they've been a breath of fresh air in the league as they've had four 0-0s, and have only scored twice. And it's for the latter reason I'm picking on them this weekend. Their goals have both come from set-pieces, one a direct free-kick and the other a penalty, and from the same player, Richard Brittain. They're quite happy to sit in, keep it tight and settle for a point. But what happens when they lose the first goal? Do they have enough going forward to make up for it? I'm not sure. They have no proven SPL frontmen. They have ridden their luck at times (away to Aberdeen in particular) and sooner or later someone's going to take the lead against them, which will ask serious questions of their mentality. I'm going to stick my neck out and say that day will be tomorrow; Saints will inspired by last week's win over Celtic and I'd expect them to be sharp and confident in the early stages. If they can get the first goal, I can't see them losing.

Re: Scottish Football > September 22 Hearts are hugely overpriced at 4.00 away to Dundee United in my opinion. With united missing Gary MacKay-Steven after surgery and John Daly doubtful and certainly nowhere near fit I suspect their attacking options will be more limited. Hearts I still believe are in a false position with only 6 points from 5 games. The 2 tough games with Liverpool certainly affected their performance and missing penalties have cost them significantly Blue Todays call Hearts win 4.00 Bet 365 2 units and Hearts DNB 3.00 Bluesquare 5 units Good Luck all

Re: Scottish Football > September 22 Scottish 1st div....Dumbarton vs Hamilton under 3 goals Asian handicap @ 1.5 stakes 4.5/10 with bet365....If you're feeling a bit braver 1.925 is available for under 2.5 but I'm going for the safe option,if it's 3 goals then it's money back.I think the bookies have priced this one wrongly.These are the bottom two teams and they both have yet to win this season.Dumbarton have scored once in 5 games and Hamilton twice in the same number of games.The accies(Hamilton) will miss Jon McShane(9 goals last season) and their big physical presence.I think this will be a tight affair with the sons(Dumbarton) looking for their 1st point,their focus should be on defence and I think if either team goes 1 up they'll be happy to sit on it.Of course I may be totally wrong but I'll give it a go.I also think Hamilton are underpriced but it's hard to recommend a home win on form....

Re: Scottish Football > September 22 2/1 for Motherwell away to Aberdeen is excellent value in my opinion. Motherwell are a decent side and deserve to be at the top of the league. They are a team that can score goals. They beat Aberdeen in the last 3 games all away 1-2 1-2 and 0-3. Aberdeen dont have injured rory fallon motherwell have their full squad available. Aberdeens recent results maybe doesnt show what they truly deserved as they have been playing well just not getting the results. Anywya at 2/1 for an in-form Motherwell to an Aberdeen struggling to get results down the bottom of the table is good value and I will take this 5/10 Motherwell @2/1 w/ Bet365 :cigar
