Yes, though the first three are more of a "sure thing" than Price (reflected in the outright odds as well). Price/Cross(/Smith?) is not that clear-cut maybe.
That said, I like Price to win tonight. Firstly, it is in Cardiff, so a rare home advantage for him (and he won it last time if I remember right), and secondly Littler/Humphries/MVG are on the other side of the bracket. So basically he "only" has to beat Aspinall and Cross to reach the final.
I agree that Price looks like the pick tonight but he seems to have a bit of a problem beating Littler

1pt Littler to win PL and Worlds 2025 - 20/1 boosted with PP
yes, it seems ridiculous, but I did a similar bet with Humpries to win multiple tournaments and i can't see Littler NOT making the final four in this event. Therefor, 20/1 for him to win 2 matches in this and then go on to win a Worlds? hmm, I'll take it with small stakes.

66/1 won't last long. 33/1 elsewhere.

Ross Smith has to be taken at 66/1! with Skybet. Has done nothing wrong really of late and just gets players on their A-game for the majority of the time. I'm ignoring everybody in the PL and taking the following :
2pts e/w Dobey 20/1 Paddypower
2pts e/w Bunting 25/1 Paddypower
-------------------------------------------------------
1pt e/w R.Smith 66/1 Skybet
-------------------------------------------------------
0.5pts e/w Van Den Bergh 80/1 Paddypower
0.5pts e/w Clemens 150/1 Paddypowerwas very tempted with Chizzy but whatever I do with him, he does the opposite so what can you do!?

A 3-day event, the Cazoo Masters.
Interesting that tonight is the Premier League, Night 1 (in Cardiff) and the Masters starts tomorrow (in MK)
This has to be a disadvantage to players that are in both.

It's never really been a favourite of mine for betting on but the thread is up and it will be interesting with Littler in, this year.
Can't see past a final four of Littler,Humphries,MVG and Price though personally.

You'd have thought so alright, but MVG upped his standard for the final and for once Littler didn't match the ridiculously high levels he's shown us in recent months, especially on the checkouts. Glad I didn't bet on Littler now (was doing housework!(😆
It’s amazing when I was on MVG last week, he was utter rubbish but not this week ofcourse.

It’s pretty obvious by this semi final standard that whoever wins it, loses in the final.

Littler looking likely to win back to back tournaments. Anybody else bored of him already? lol
hoping Van Veen beats MVG and then a littler

Absolutely, Van Veen was my very first instinct... In the previous edition of the tournament the dutch (and belgian, LOL) players dominated, so to speak... let's hope for a similar scenario... it's funny to think back: Van Veen was actually the FAVORITE against Littler in the youth final, and he was a shorter price in the outright market in the worlds too... now Littler is 4,5, while Van Veen is 40. So I'm trying it too, especially as Michael Smith could be beatable in the first round, if Van Veen is in form.
Yeah, it’s just barmy really. I know Littler is obviously special but Van Veen has levels too and we haven’t seen Smith play well since his Worlds win really

This gets underway tonight. I'm taking 3 big prices in this one because it's quite simply where the value lies, in my eyes.
1pt e/w Van Veen 40/1 WillHill
0.5ps e/w Doets 100/1 WillHill
0.5pts e/w Wattimena 150/1 Paddypower -
Nottingham Forest (2) 2.00
Luton (1) 4.60
Aston Villa (1) 1.85£30 treble please

We'll start the third and final LMS of the 2023/24 season with a list of weekend fixtures, instead of a Tuesday/Wednesday.
Good luck all.

crazy that MVG is intimidated by Littler already. In an event like this, if you're not even comfortable here then what chance you got in a big event.

88 average in a final. MVG, embarrasing.

The Masters is the next decent event really, but this started yesterday with all the "bang average" locals going out. We're left with the 8 seeded players. I think it's worth going with MVG in this event from here. He faces Cross and then the winner of Wright and M.Smith. I would probably take my chance on Cross, but MVG hit a 106 average yesterday and I think he wins that match.
Of course he needs to beat Humphries in the final but at 7/2, I think it's a nice price.
2pts MVG to win Bahrain Masters 7/2 Bet365
2pts treble for today - Aspinall, Humphries, MVG 13/2 Bet365- kroni, ThunderDan9 and vikki37

yeah, fair play, Carter has been brilliant 4 frames won with 3 centuries and 4 50+ breaks. Utter rubbish from Allen but perhaps he needs to be 4-1 down to play eh? 😐 there is the century to win the "both to get a century" bet atleast. Can't see Allen coming back this time, though.
*edit* it's now 4-3. What a steal. One thing Allen does have is incredible bottle.

I’m going to take both players to hit a century tonight and Allen -1.5 also.
2pts both players to hit a century 17/10 paddypower
2pts Allen -1.5 evens Paddypower

Allen needs to start better. He seems to recently start games poorly and has gone 3-1 down to Higgins and 4-1 down to Selby. Seems to have about 20 cups of tea a frame, too

Yeah, like you say, he won at Cardiff, last year. However, with average performances. He really should at least make the final and so at 7/2 outright then it's the best pick.
