I notice that by mistake I put my selection of Liverpool in the Consolation Competition thread; hopefully that won't disqualify me.
no, not a problem @Alastair

No big shock with the winner. Littler could well be a player that ruins our Players Championship events aswell as the bigger events. Just wins every match right now. Here's what I'm going with in the 2nd one, Tuesday. I'm going to try with Star Sports, to get the 4 places :
1.5pts Anderson 16/1 Bet365
---------------------------------------------------------
0.5pts e/w Baetens 80/1 WillHill (2 places)
0.5pts e/w Clemens 100/1 StarSports (4 places)
0.5pts e/w De Decker 100/1 StarSports (4 places)
---------------------------------------------------------
0.25pts e/w Dom Taylor 125/1 StarSports (4 places)
0.25pts e/w Joyce 125/1 StarSports (4 places)
0.25pts e/w Pilgrim 150/1 StarSports (4 places)
0.25pts e/w Smith-Neale 325/1 Startsports (4 places)- daveg, vikki37 and ThunderDan9

yeah, I've had enough of him. Pie 4-0 up against Dolan. Loses 6-4. Just pathetic.

New seasons of Players Championship events. 1 and 2 tomorrow and Tuesday. Tomorrow, I can't find a 4 places bookie. As usual, nowadays. Tempted with Heta tomorrow but price isn't big enough and he never seems to get over the line. Littler at 6/1 is just silly. No doubt he has a great chance but no thanks.
1pt e/w R.Smith 50/1 Paddypower
------------------------------------
0.25pts e/w A.Baetens 125/1 Paddypower
0.25pts e/w S.Williams 125/1 Paddypower
0.25pts e/w Pietreczko 150/1 Paddypower
0.25pts e/w Joyce 175/1 Paddypower
0.25pts e/w Szaganaski 250/1 Paddypower
0.25ps e/w Dom Taylor 450/1 Paddypower

Congrats to Stephen Bunting for a majestic first PDC major win, and to Fader for the winning 25/1 pick!
Cheers mate. Was a very impressive final performance from Bunting.

Bunting now has an excellent chance to make the finals... there will not be many more better chances for him to win a PDC major.
Exactly, and that’s why the value was the winner of that match. Just don’t mess up making it to the final atleast

Poor from Dobey but Bunting beats Humphries and Van Den Bergh beats Smith.

Price withdraws. Good news for top half backers.
Ross Smith now 33-40s. The winner of that match and Bunting has a decent chance if they can beat Humphries.

AND starts with a 140, while Smith with a 60... it was really absurd.
I say this with tongue in cheek really but it was so bad that Id be looking at betting patterns with that one

Just the 5/4 winner after that pathetic MVG final leg. On throw too!
Hoping for the 7/1 Littler/Price final

what on earth was that last leg!? seriously, MVG is losing his bottle!

Given the rules state "Once a selection is chosen it can not be changed and no editing of posts are allowed" I'd say you're stuck with your original choice of Brighton but I'm just flagging it for @Fader's judgement. Better it gets resolved before the event than after.
thanks @harry_rag
indeed, pick will be original "Brighton" pick @WEEKESY
always worth waiting when there is other fixtures before the game

One other thought: it's funny that Rock is now 40+ to win... last season, he was the "next big thing coming", in some cases being a top5-6 favorite in major tournaments... now of course totally overshadowed by Littler, and he has been playing bad too... I'm curious whether he can bounce back at some point.
The thing is, with Rock, he hasn't threatened to win anything. He won that Players Championship floor event when he was on fire for a good few months, but he doesn't get close in the bigger events.
I did think about him in this but much like a Heta or Searle, for me, it doesn't matter how good they play, they find a way to lose in the latter stages.
