    Re: accounts Jez - I am going to play the $30+$3 NL game at 8pm. Game 8900. Dunno if this is a bit too low stakes for you? I've asked Paul if I can run a poker / card forum on the PL by the way. I am hoping he will agree as I think that with so many poker players on here we could really get that section going. I've asked mods for their opinions. What do you guys think?

I don't want to go silly with my cash at the moment (wedding coming up and all). Dunno about your raise after the flop there WFTE. Raising on the hope of hitting a middle pin is a little risky. Good job you got called as opposed to re-raised eh? Still you gambled and won. I would guess the joker had a pair of tens or maybe even trips or two pair. I can't see him trying to draw the flush as he called your $20 after the river.

    Re: PL Card Game Hahahaha - you have to laugh. I have A,K on the button and put in a decent sized raise. Player in middle position reraises me and I call. Flop comes 5h, 3h, Ad. I go all in (trying to stop any chance of a flush / straight). Chap calls. He has 5s, 2c. Guess when the 4 came? What a twat. >: :lol >: :lol

    Re: PL Card Game Norfolk it wasn't a big competition - about 150 players I think? Certainly over 140 the last time I looked 10 mins before the off. Thinking back on it I played good poker last night. I was off the drink so my head was clear and I made some bloody good calls if I do say so. The bad beat costing me 1st was compensated by winning $876 for 2nd but I am piissed off with myself for giving away another $400 profit in the cash game. I was tired and bored so I should have played COD instead of poker - ESPECIALLY after playing a long tourney. Interesting reading your answers Jez. To be fair playing all that poker might start to get on my nerves. And in many ways I'm sure it just seems like a job to you. Eight hours of playing tight poker, four days a week, just to catch some passing fish would take some of the thrill out of it. Then again it's your living so what can you expect? The 'catching fish' comment reminds me of that old poker line. "If your sitting at the poker table and you can't spot who the sucker is? - It's probably you".

I don't know about you but I think the standard of play online is more unpredictable, but overall, a lot poorer than playing 'live' so to speak. Is online poker, 'live' poker or the 'fruitys' your main source of income? I'm bored with my job Jezza. Sell me the dream. Sell me the dream. :| P.S.     Re: PL Card Game Suffering with the insomnia tonight Jez. It always happens to me when I give up the booze. I took $76 into a cash game tonight (leaving $800 safely tucked away). At one point I got it up to $495 and I was playing well. But as time went on I got more and more bored and I started taking risks. All the time I wanted to go to bed and have a kip but I knew it wouldn't work. To cut a long story short I lost to a full house and started playing fast and loose. Yep full tilt mate. Result = $495 reduced to $0. So I am still up by $760 on the night but I feel like it should have been better... Bad beat, bad beat, tilt, tilt, tilt. :sleeping

    Re: PL Card Game Played in two tourneys tonight on Laddies as I wasn't interested in the Euro 2004 final and I'm trying to stay off the booze. I've never played in tourneys online before - just cash games. First tourney I came 136th out of 300 players or something. It cost me $10 to go in (it was a turbo game). I thought that it was kind of jolly so I entered another one. Cost me $30 to enter that one. I came second and got $876 :nana :nana Girl who beat me (if it is a girl - the nickname was Suzy) beat me on the river. Bad beat, bad beat, blah blah blah. Cost me another $500 in winnings though. Easy game this poker lark innit? ;)

Hence massive value IMO and a maximum stakes bet).
