  1. Re: Poker Well a couple of hours play resulted in a $40.77 profit. :nana Pays for Sunday lunch I suppose. Get on there PompeyBelle. I wont play you as I have no wish to win or lose money to my 'friends' on here but it will be fun to see you in action.

  2. This horse is owned by a syndicate. I bumped into one of the 10 owners. 4.10 - PICCLED He told me it was unlucky last time out when it broke very slowly and ended a beaten favourite in 3rd. He said the horse is still favourably handicapped in his opinion and told me to watch out for it today. On the negative side it doesn't look to have a great draw (Low numbers are best over 5f at Musselburgh so another PL member kindly told me). Also the ground is good to firm and ideally Piccled likes it good or good to soft. Anyway - I am posting it because I was told they would be giving it their best today and I would feel guilty if it came in and I had kept my gob shut. Best of Luck. :ok

  3. Re: PL Card Game StereoMan

At least you don't have to put up with some of the cheating Welsh over at Victor Chandler poker (hardly subtle....three Welsh flags on one table?!) or some of the colluding Turks over at Sporting Odds poker (they've had so many complaints apparently that they're currently running an English-only-to-be-used-on-the-messaging until they can sort out some Turkish language only tables).
What does the language matter I wonder? You can ring each other, MSN each other and 'hell' even forum PL each other during hands? Speaking the specific lingo seems more trouble than it is worth? I concentrate on my hand period.
  4. Re: PL Card Game :lol @ dprovan - no offence mate. Many would prefer me to keep my gob shut (I bet Jez and Alien would) but to me the PL is my online family. I seek no joy in winning or losing to that select group. Hence I say as I see it - keep away from the better players if you do not know what you are doing. The only two nights I have been on I have been chip leader for most of the night. The decisions some make are laughable. I wont go into details but that is the truth. I wont play the PL crowd again unless they come to my table for the aforementioned reasons. Sorry dproven - no offence meant - come kick my ass when you want to. :loon

  5. Re: PL Card Game Very good fun on that Poker site I have to say. Most players are pretty poor truth be told, and the money that can be made on there is quite good IMO. Players like Jezza, Alien, WFTE and myself have a decent concept of the game and if you keep away from the booze when playing (and away from each other I think) and there is some spondooleys to be made. :drums Won $282.72 tonight. :nana :nana Took me 4 hours mind you. :\

  7. Re: cards I did ok against the PL boys for my first time online. Was up to $250 from $50..... then the PL boys all left and it all went the way of the pear. :lol :(

  8. Re: PL Card Game Playing for pretend at the moment - will put some cash in tonight? What do they accept? Credit cards? And how do they pay you back? Cheque or on your card?

  9. Is there anywhere you can go to see the race card line ups for the weekend including expected going, draws and runners. I was given a tip from a racehorse owner 2 weeks ago for a gee gee running this weekend at Mussleborough. Be happy you share nearer the 'off time'. Anywhere I can see the card for this meet with the aforementioned details lads?

  10. Re: Weather update Hi Striker. Welcome to the Punters Lounge. :cheers I just wanted to pop in and say it's great to see a thread dominated by three new members. Whilst I am here I have to admit that Golf betting has always seemed like a lottery to me? People can seemingly come out of nowhere and win a tournement? If the course is wet though you would have to look at the 'long drivers' - Tiger Woods would be the obvious choice as always?
