  1. Having been a member of the Punters Lounge for a while now I have thought about many different ways to make money from sports betting. I have tried a system on predicting draws (based on the odds offered) which failed spectacularly and a few other 'hair brained' ideas (that also failed). Having seen the best punters on here though many of them seem to avoid fancy systems and back singles at variable stakes. My system I am going to proof will be based on those ideas. The system will be as follows. a) Starting Bank = 100 units b) No single bet to exceed 10 units c) Singles only (no doubles / trebles etc)

  2. Re: The time-line Greyhound system Hi fender and welcome to the PL. Why don't you enter your system into the Systems and Strategy Forum? There you could post your bets before the races and proof your system for everyone to see. I haven't had a bet on the dogs for years myself as too many things can happen. The dogs are easy to 'nobble' and they bump each other out too often to make it anything like an exact science to me. Anyway best of luck with your system. :ok

  3. Re: Dunno Below is my post before the programme even started. I tip 3 people - Hewitt, Maureen and Craig.

Maureen appeals to me from a value point of view - 16/1. Maureen is 'one of us' and that will be a vote winner. Bear in mind as well that the rules of the game state that the two with the lowest votes get split by the one with the biggest vote. (In other words someone from the house makes the final decision). I can't see any of these 'stars' wanting to be seen to vote an old lady out of the house. I don't think Jade will win it. She's too thick to be liked that much. The British like 'stupidity with charm' (i.e Kerry Mcfadden) not 'stupid piled on top of stupid'. Hewitt and Craig are worthy of being a short price though. Craig who won BB1 and now stars in Bo Selecta and daytime TV programmes will appeal to the housewives and the youngsters who watch alternative comedy. Hewitt is simply a charming bloke who will do ok with the voters. Somehow I think he will come close but not quite make it.
    All these three are in the final. Gutted I didn't place a bet. :x :x :x :x
  4. Portugal Vs England England with none of their top 3 central defenders (Campbell, Ferdinand and Terry) + our terrible recent record in friendlies makes me think Portugal are MASSIVE at just over evens. I hardly bet on International football and avoid friendlies all together but I think this looks too juicy a price to pass up. Anyone know anything about the Portugal side + attitude towards these kinds of games?

  5. Re: Can't c an angle on this one... Ones who surely can't win. Uri - laughable fool. Nick - Supercilious turd. Cat - Pouting, mis-shapen faced, model wannabe. Lizzie - State scrounger (by all accounts) and a mouth like a fish wife with no humour attached. Anyone want to bet on these four PM me and we will discuss odds.

  6. Re: Can't c an angle on this one... Saint

Alot like J Rotten - v intelligent and charming......
You think J. Rotten / Lydon is intelligent and charming? :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin Fcuk off! :p :p He's the biggest ccok I have seen on TV for ages. Raven You know what I mean you sarcastic fcuker. She's REAL on a reality show and it might appeal.

  8. Re: Exchanges at Half-Time A really excellent first post Mr Onemore. As a punter who doesn't play the over / under market or bet on games in running I am not the best person to comment on your system. I assume though that you have no real interest in what you 'think' might happen in the rest of the game - you simply lay the bet off at a profit if you can and take the small gain as a guarantee rather than leave it in the hands of fate? For example in the merseyside derby today did you really think 3 goals might go in, in the second half or were you not interested one way or another when you saw you could make a definate profit? Also (out of interest) you say you are not from England or Europe - just curious - where are you if you don't mind saying? Anyway - once again an excellent first post and a big welcome to the Punters Lounge. By the way I have had a terrible Saturday so anyone who makes a profit impresses me. :sad

  9. Re: Why Not Kenya? Carmine - where are you from? Just wondered after seeing your name. I don't follow the African Nations Cup to be honest so I couldn't answer your question with regards to the value on Kenya. However I do remember Senegal being a very useful outfit in the last World Cup. Maybe you want to consider laying Senegal if you think Kenya have enough to give them a hard game as opposed to going for the straight win on Kenya? Anyway - best of luck with your bet and I ust wanted to reply and welcome you to the Punters Lounge. Keep posting. :ok
