  1. Re: I'm a Celeb get me out of here (series 4) My opinions after one show. Joe Pasquale 4.50 - Worthy favourite - funny voice, funny man. Antonio Fargas 5.50 - Maybe. Quiet at the moment which is no bad thing. Seems to have a personality that could shine. Natalie Appleton 7.00 - Scared of everything and a bit of a pain. Doesn't have Kerry McFadden's charm though. I can't see her winning unless she does the challenges with great bravery. Might walk out. Not a lay bet yet... but close. Terrible value. Sophie Anderton 9.00 - Boring. No chance. Lay off on the exchanges. Brian Harvey 9.00 - His granny has just died and that might win the sympathy vote. Quite good value unless he has a head spaz (as he is reported likely to do). Janet Street Porter 10.00 - Can't see it myself. Down to earth and no nonsense but will isolate too many fellow contestants and certain sectors of the public. Paul Burrell 11.00 - Maybe. A bit of a girl but who knows when he starts dishing the dirt on Diana? Nancy Sorrell 11.00 - BORING. No chance. Lay off on the exchanges. Fran Cosgrove 13.00 - Great value. I don't know who the fcuk he is but he seems up for a laugh. Back at this price and lay off in a week at great value. Arb bet if ever I saw one. (Trust the master). Could even win it. Sheila Ferguson 15.00 - Great value again. Read above. Won't win but will be a great arb bet to lay off on the exchanges.

  2. Re: Poker Experience? Yes mate - we had an office a spit away in Leicester before the builders started knocking down Vaughan Way. It looks a big old place. I can't wait. :cow :cow :cow P.S - I think it will be about a year yet....

  3. Re: Poker Experience? Billy I used to play at the Gala Casino now and again a few years ago. To be honest the standard wasn't that good and I reached the final table more than any one player should. Furthermore I wasn't even that proficient back then. The old British Champ 'Taffy' played there in about 1998 / 1999. I thought he wasn't that shiit hot either. :eyes I fell out with the casino over Roulette when I called a neighbour bet (I had been calling for the last ten spins) - they didn't hear it and I got fcuked out of £350 - I resigned there and then and haven't played in that casino since. Shame really coz if they are all as bad at Poker as I remember there is some cash to be made.

  4. Re: Well done alien syndm Yeah I'm in decent profit at those level tourneys at Laddies. I need to download the bet365 software and have a crack on those tourneys as well. Any idea how the standard compares to Laddies?

  5. Re: Well done alien syndm The win the odd battle Wayne but never the war. I'm not going to step up in stakes though. I would rather win slowly against the brainless than battle it out with other players of my ability.

  6. Re: Well done alien syndm It's tough when you have 'the read' on someone and are waiting for the cards to go all in against them - just to walk into their only genuine hand of the night. It happened to me earlier on this morning. I had AJ and walked into KK. Sickener as he was playing with 9,10 or 7,5 or J,7 until then. You know the type - Mr SeeEveryFlop. Bah Bumhug.

  7. Re: Seven Card Stud I like it Jezza. You have to pay a lot more attention to what everyone else has so that you can adjust the odds Vs chances of hitting accordingly. It's a strange game though. I had 10 9 A A (aces showing) and some player went all in with just 3 8 showing. Now he knows I have the Aces so I have to take him for trips or two pair? But I tell you what - when I laid that hand down it stung like a bitch. I wonder if he had anything? He knows I have to take him for trips or two pair. I wonder if it was just a great bluff? :rolleyes

  8. Any of you guys play this game? I must admit that I'm starting to learn (and profit slightly) from this form of poker. I believe that this was the most played form of poker prior to Holdem taking off? Stay off the fixed limit games though - they're pretty craap everyone tends to draw until the seventh card. Any experts on this game on the PL?

  9. Re: Colours - 2 or 4? I use the two colour deck. Without sounding like a smarty bum I've never missed a flush or straight draw possibility. Maybe that's why I'm such a tight fcuker? :lol

  10. Re: Poker Experience?

I think there is definate money to be made whatever type of table you choose, its funny how you see the same names in the later stages of the same tourneys most nights.
I have to agree with you. It's the same on Laddies. Stick around and contribute to the forum Oskar - we can do with more players who know what they are talking about. You'll find some very strong players are members here :ok
  11. Re: Poker Experience? Welcome to the Punters Lounge Oskar. :ok I'm yet to use the Befair interface as I try and keep all my bankroll in one place. If your ever over at Laddies though I'll give you a game. Why do you play single tourneys more than cash games btw?

  12. Re: Not boasting but.....

I'm very pleased for you, well done.
:lol - dunno if Burt meant it to come across this way but I imagined him saying that in a very dry and sarcastic tone. Made me laugh anyway... :sad
  13. Re: Ladbrokes multi poker tourneys I'm tight but very aggressive when I am involved in a pot. (This is my strat early on). As I build my pot I play on my tight reputation by nicking some pots when in late position against players I consider tight and weak. Later in the game I bully as I have the chips to do so. :ok I'm not sure what some of the others would say but this is my strategy and it has made me a considerable profit on Laddies tourneys over the last year.
