To echo others, thanks @Fader for running this.

Into the final round and Koepka has the lead. There's every chance he'll convert given his experience in these situations and also his machine-like mentality, and so I'm happy to back him even if he is the favourite. Scheffler being on the premises also gives an opportunity to back others that are better placed and so I'll also back Conners. He's played well so far and is close enough to get involved should Koepka falter. 25pts Koepka to win USPGA Championship @ 2.39 Betfair Exchange 15pts Conners to win USPGA Championship @ 7.08 Betfair Exchange

Some of these offers have got so many labyrinthine conditions it's as though they're designed to trip you up so you can't get the benefit of the offer. It should be easy to use these free offers and the fact that it often isn't and you can make a mistake so you don't get the offer is a form of false advertising in my opinion and really shouldn't be allowed. Having said that though, it's not as if bookies are generally too interested in ethics and morals. -

The trouble with Stephens is you never know when any motivation you think she might have will wane. She's not a player I can back because she's had a succession of shocking results since winning the US Open, and there's no question a lot of them have been down to lack of effort. If I had to back her in this one, I'd be a lot happier if she was plus money. Fatigue could certainly be an issue for Svitolina, both in terms of court time here plus recently returning from maternity leave but I think she's a more motivated player than Stephens and that could be what makes the difference. Certainly at odds against Svitolina would be the play for me.

Looks like it'll be Si going through. McGill has been proper 'toilet' this last frame with Si currently on his third chance to get the job done.
-
Exactly. But it'll probably make the odds on McGill even juicier. If McGill wins this decider, I'll be on him to beat Brecel and I expect it'll be a very nice price.
-
If I'm Brecel I'm crossing my fingers McGill doesn't win. He'll know that playing McGill will be a real test because McGill will have to be scraped off the table, plus he's had experience of the latter stages here. Si's style will suit Brecel better and I'm sure Brecel knows that.
-
I see what you mean but weirdly that's exactly the sort of play that's likely to trip Brecel up. O'Sullivan is either good or bad. McGill on the other hand, has more variation. He can be good or bad but he'll also battle and frames will become scrappy at times and that'll mean Brecel can't get into any rhythm. McGill also won't be giving Brecel any encouragement by giving up any frames where only a snooker or two is required - like O'Sullivan did. Ronnie played right into Brecel's hands today. McGill - if it is McGill - won't do that.
-
Completely agree. He beat O'Sullivan playing attacking snooker, which got increasingly attacking the more he realised that O'Sullivan wasn't at the races and wasn't punishing his misses. It's easy to play high-tariff snooker when you're confident that your opponent's having a shocker - less so when your opponent plays steady, percentage snooker. Like I said, Ronnie put Brecel under no pressure at all and that was the key to him winning. All the talk after the match from the pundits and also Ronnie - not surprisingly - would have given the impression that Brecel played lights out. He didn't. He played well but I don't call 89% pot success across the match lights out snooker and a repeat of that in the next round and he's going back to Belgium but this time not coming back.
-
It'll never happen unfortunately. Besides, he wouldn't care about being fined.
-
There used to be a pinnacle api but not sure if it's still live. I wouldn't fixate on pinnacle closing lines though - they aren't the be all and end all, despite what you might read.
-
It'll be worth opposing Brecel in the next round now. That result will guarantee he's overvalued, especially as he was nowhere near as good as was suggested after the match - that's just what always seems to happen when Ronnie loses. He played well there's no doubt, but to an extent he was allowed to. I don't see that happening next round.
-
Bookie odds on 7-0 to Brecel in that session must have been ridic. Combined with no O'Sullivan break over 30 and the odds must have been astronomical.
-
Ronnie was atrocious. 79 percent pot success in the session, misaligning shots, played like a rank amateur. To go from 10-6 to 10-13 is ridiculous. He gave up in places and put Brecel under no pressure - if he had, it might have been a different story. Hendry in the commentary box would have beaten O'Sullivan playing like that.
