  1. Re: Wolverhampton 13/3 (Eve) Wolv 9.20 - Summer Lodge - win Coming back from a break tonight and finds himself well handicapped, 4 lbs below his last win in Oct '08 over tonights CD. He had a few runs since then and was tried over shorter and longer trips, tried a couple of runs at Southwell (got well beat) and had a go over hurdles. Hasn't run since December and after trying the options is returning to the CD of his last win. Trainer has hit form with a winner today and a winner yesterday, both with todays jockey up.

    That passed a couple of hours !............:tongue2 6.50 - Kitty Allen - EW 7.20 - It's My Day - EW 7.50 - Mazzola - Win 8.20 - King Of Dixie - Win 8.50 - Paddy Rielly - EW 9.20 - Kamanja - EW I bet I get only one winner.............:unsure
If only I could bet on the number of winners I'd get on a card !......... :lol:lol
  4. Re: Kempton (eve) 12/03/09

I'm same Trotter, more interested in AW than Chelt!! Only the Triumph and Gold Cup interest me tomorrow. 8.20 - carlton scroop - weighted to reverse form with the fav on recent form, generally consistent sort that is there or thereabouts and has won here. 9.20 - Green Agenda - has plenty of time off before being reintroduced in handicaps and won well. step up in trip should help and has a big chance under a penalty.
Blimey.........you've been a bit unlucky today........... Canadian Danehill bolting before the race and finished last....... Carlton Scroop unseated jockey coming out of the stalls......... Green Agenda saves the day !............ :ok
  5. Re: Best Bet Of The Day : 12mar09 7.50 Kempton - Mazzola - Win Only four runners and they all have a chance I like the look of the outsider of the four, Mazzola........he's the only one who has won a handicap off a mark the same as or higher than he runs off tonight - the other 3 all need to improve on what they've done. Glamorous Spirit has been off for 3 months and might need the run, also has never run in a handicap.......he's got his mark from claiming race form Cecily was well touted when coming to the all weather, but has been disappointing in 4 runs Lesleys Choice has been edging up the handicap without winning, keeps getting placed and shoved up another pound. Mazzola has won off 82, runs off 79 tonight. Mick Channon's team in decent form with 9 out of 17 won or placed in the last 2 weeks.

  6. Re: Kempton (eve) 12/03/09 9.20 This is a tricky handicap with 13 three year olds without much form to go on, none of them have won at Kempton and only one has won over tonight's trip. It's a minefield ! The betting suggests it's a 2 horse race between Green Agenda and Foreign Investment, but I'm going for an EW flutter on Kamanja. I like it's last run when beaten by Itshim, an improving and speedy type who's won 3 on the trot. Was beaten 3L but was running on at the finish over 7F......... Trainer has some good form of late, doesn't have many runner but 4 won or placed from the last 5.

  7. Re: Kempton (eve) 12/03/09 8.50 - Paddy Rielly -EW Back down to it's last winning mark and has run well over this CD without winning here. This is his second run back after a break, finished 2nd on his reappearance. Hopefully will come on a bit for the run. Has only won at Southwell, but his turf form placings are on good to firm so polytrack should suit, as witness the decent run over tonights CD back in Sept when he finished under 2L 3rd off a 3 lb higher mark After a quiet spell the yard has had 2 winners in the last 3 days.

  8. Re: Kempton (eve) 12/03/09 8.20 Only 3 runners for a class 3 Conditions race...........:unsure Can't see past the favourite, King of Dixie........looks to have only Blythe Knight to beat and the old boy will surely need the run to get his aging joints moving...........:unsure

  10. Re: Kempton (eve) 12/03/09 7.20 - It's My Day Dropped back to 65 in the handicap which means he can run in a class 6 for the first time since Sept 07 which is the last race he won. He's won here at Kempton before, he's the only one in single figures in the betting that has won here Ran well last time at Lingfield beaten under 2 lenghts by Inch Lodge, who reopposes and is the likely favourite. Only a couple of pounds better off in the weights but Inch Lodge has never run well here.........I reckon my selection can turn the tables. Fist time cheekpieces, Jim Crowley on board,

  11. Re: Kempton (eve) 12/03/09 Cheers thomo..........:ok 6.50 A poor race, interesting though with a couple of 3 year olds taking on their elders and getting nearly a stone WFA I like the look of Kitty Allen as an EW flutter at around 25/1........third run back after a break, ran over 7F and 6F and was 'there' until the five furlong pole before fading. Back at 5F and getting the weight..........plus another 7lbs from a claimer. Trainer had a winner yesterday.

  12. Re: Southwell 12/3 Araganil won like a nice horse.............. Fin.......Canadian Danehill bolted before the race and ran down the track without his jockey...........he only ran down to the start but probably went faster than he should have.......... Don't know if that affected his running in the race, but he finished last

  13. Re: Kempton (eve) 12/03/09 Well.........as there's only 3 or 4 of us reading this I don't mind admitting that I'm not really enjoying Cheltenham very much...........:unsure The only winner I've found is Master Minded............:unsure Every race is just far too competitive, it's a bookies benefit. Nice to watch but keep money in pocket. Found myself watching the cricket on Tuesday.............just flicking over for the 'off times'...............:loon So..........I'm really looking forward to tonight's Kempton meeting on RUK, apart from the fact that they'll spend the whole programme showing repeats of Cheltenham that I've already seen.............:wall I'll have a look at the card in a minute............

  14. Re: Southwell 12/3 4.25 - Arganil Quite a decent sprint handicap, shame about the 3 non runners Arganil looks progressive against a field of exposed handicappers. He's also the youngest in the field, the most lightly raced and hopefully should have improved with natural growth from 3 to 4 years. Should take all the beating if he's ready to run Just a note on handicap marks........... We've said many times how the 'Life' gives a false record of past handicap marks. Example is Rebel Duke in this race........ His last 4 runs according to the Life have been off 69, 80, 80, 80 If you look into it the actual marks he ran off were 83, 80, 86, 80 Quite a difference if you're trying to work out which horses are 'well handicapped'

  15. Re: Southwell - 10/03/09 I don't know what happened to my BBotD.........Gamesters Lady in the 4.25 Last night when I was studying the race (while everybody else was studying Cheltenham !) it was second favourite in the forecast, it was the 'Life' pick, it was the Timeform selection.........it was priced up about 3/1 and I assumed being the 'betting site pick' it would go off as 2/1 favourite......... I was watching cheltenham of course and just flicked over before the 'off' and was surprised to see it as the 8/1 outsider of the field.........:loon It duly got got thrashed So I'm left wondering what happened during the day today to make it drift out so much.............. Must leave Southwell alone...............:spank

  16. Re: Best bet of the day 10/3 Southwell 4.25 - Gamesters Lady - win Only out and out front runner in a five runner field, should be able to set her own pace from the front. Won here last time out over a furlong shorter, but gets this trip OK, has won over 12F at Wolves Is a bit fresher than the others having obly her third run back after a break.........rivals like Rawdon, They All Laughed and Safin have been on the go for ages and might be jaded. Inside Story looks a danger as he also won here over 11F last time out but his stamina for the extra distance might be suspect if the pace is decent.
