going off topic i was thinking about Tom Queally. never cocked up on Frankel, was/is a good jockey but trainers don't seem to like him much, personally i would have him on a horse i owned before i would have over half the others.
I was a big fan of Tom Queally during the Frankel years ...... not only dealing with the pressure of riding Frankel which must have been immense but also dealing with the terminal illness of Sir Henry
I remember his interview with Lydia Hislop a day or two after Sir Henry died. He was in his silks, riding at Salisbury ....... seemed like a very impressive young man

I'll be sad to se Frankie turn it in
I remember him starting as a teenager and over 30-odd years I don't think there's any other jockey I'd rather have had on a horse I'd backed in a big race
Well maybe Ryan Moore in the last few years, but Frankie is up there with the all time best

Well, that was a bit of a bummer with Chelmsford abandoned
On the bright side my only Southwell runner drifted to 5/1 and won
So I get 6 winning singles plus 4 NR stakes back for a return of £80

Further inspection at Hereford at 9.30
Looks like we might be left with just the two AW meetings -
This is something that used to happen a few years ago ........ the prize for the annual top tipster was a metal (bronze?) statue of a horse in motion. The comp was based on amount of winnings rather than number of winners.
I've got 3 of them from around 10/12 years ago ...... ?
but money is probably better ............
