More kick offs than at the footy these days. There’s been some disgraceful scenes at racing over the last few years. Don’t mind the odd bottle flying at the footy but you need to act with a bit more decorum at the races ?

Its the Ulster National  today at Downpatrick Northern Ireland had a nice touch on the wimmer last year  Space Cadet it goes again this time  only a few lbs higher has a  very decent  chance but at a measley 5/1 it won't carry my money. this time but  I really like the top weight in this who looks well overpriced  imho  at  over 3 times the price of last years winner this horse was 2nd and won it in 2019 AMULINO  e/w 18/1 5places not bog   must have a major e/w shout in this. Have also  had a small e/w on HIGH SPARROW at 18/1  quirky but if in the mood will go close.
Down south  we have the start of the  flat in the Lincoln i'm on INSIGNIA OF RANK  e/w   22/1  7places not bog
 

The bookies got hit hard with some big accas coming in. Three of what I know of, and they seemed well thought out accas by seasoned punters, not just your casual punter . Obviously you need tonnes of luck, too, but these were anti post accas that were done last year when the prices of horses were far greater than they were on the day.  Already looking at next festival prices and it seems they are tightening things up a bit. Monkfish 5/1 for gold cup is ridiculous. Shishkin 6/4 for champion chase, Appreciate It 4/1 Arkle . Not taking any chances are they.

It’s a tough one. No doubt some horses are slowly brought to the boil to hit Cheltenham at their peak. Some are ran below their true ability so are well handicapped. Some just thrive in these top races. I wouldn’t be looking at Minella Indo and thinking how did he won that. The horse is very talented and races at the highest level in Ireland. Some races at Cheltenham  you’ve just got to track the form from earlier in the day or the day before etc. AP preferred the 3 day festival because it was more competitive, and I wouldn’t mind it going back to 3, although it won’t. Some are calling for 5 days ffs, which would ruin it. By the 4th day I’ve started to have enough tbf. I love Cheltenham for betting and the spectacle. Some punters take it very seriously and do it all year round placing ante post bets and making serious money from it. Fair play to them, it’s hard work Cheltenham week let alone all year round . My missus was meant to be taking us there for the last two days for a birthday gift but obviously it got cancelled. With a bit of luck we’ll be there next year and I can’t wait. Whether I’ll want to go again I don’t know , but it’s something I want to do in my life and be a part of for the experience. 
 
Overall it was a great festival. Made a small profit and enjoyed watching top class racing . It’s the best show on earth of any sport IMO .

2/2 for the day with Wilde About Oscar winning @ 3/1 . This seems like a great site with genuine posters who enjoy racing so I'm looking forward to getting involved.

Nice start to the day and first selection on the forum with Saint Dalina winning at 5/1. I was between that and Wilde About Oscar for my NAP selection but went with the other so hopefully that still wins. 

Once champions day at Ascot(October) has finished that’s end of the flats for me. Same with National, once that’s over that the jumps over with. 

As a rule I never back a horse at Aintree that either won or went close to winning at Cheltenham, especially older horses. I’m shocked Mullins ran kemboy at Cheltenham as I think he’s much better at a course like Aintree. 

Agree. I always do flat May to October and jumps November to April.

Skybet 7 places only offering 50/1 Regal Encore will take SP 1pt E/W hoping for 66 or 80’s. Especially with a couple of horses which appear to be overly supported.
