well coltrane and the second ran faster than they have ever run before, we have to go off what we see and know and it wasnt marquand that changed tactics it was more that the others kept in touch which they didnt do on the last 2 occasions quickthorn won. and we see a different result all interesting stuff.

That's surprising because to the naked eye it looked like he was traveling a lot slower and i was cursing Tommy Boy,:spank but quickly forgave him when he won the next. 🤑

No pressure, but here’s the steps if you want to try and use the snipping tool. It would literally take about 10 seconds and be less faff than using the phone and a third party. I’d suggest not bothering with the pic at all rather than go down that route as you won’t be the only one and the others don’t have as good an excuse in terms of being a technophobe to the same extent. But give this a go, you might surprise yourself!

1 - press these 3 keys to open the snipping tool:

2 - your screen should look like this with an x to mark where you’re about to draw round:

3 - Use the touchpad to draw round your bet slip; this will take a picture of it, then just paste it in here:

As I say, takes about 10 seconds. But, if that's too much hassle then just don't bother with the pic rather than go to so much trouble. As long as you can agree a severance package with your PA! :lol

I will give it a go tomorrow "H". (thanks for the "idiot proof" instructions) Been so busy today after waking up late and i've not had much time for racing today. Did have a £1 ew on your man Queally though @Zilzalian.

I still can’t figure out how someone who can take a picture of their selections and send them to someone else can’t get that picture straight onto the forum! I assume you don’t access the forum on the phone so out of interest what device do you place your bets on and what device do you access the forum on? All on a laptop?

Correct. Yes everything on a laptop. I have a mobile and just dust it off and plug it in just for this comp. If i could post my entry in, i would. I hate most technology and where it is leading people in this world and what it is doing to them and it will destroy them in time, but it seems there are not enough of us to see what is happening and therefore no hope for the future. But hey, let's keep it light, this is a FUN comp.

Always best to give it time to reflect when angry and I have touched on this before... so here's a reflection on racing. Lots has been said on here this week about cheating, non triers etc call it what you will but here is a bigger problem for me and the 5:45 at Sandown Sunday is a perfect example of what I am saying.

You can have all the systems in the world to aid your selecting, you can have all the ratings in the world to aid them but they all go out the window when you can't rate jockey stupidity which seems to be prevalent in this country more than others eg France and Ireland. Very few of our jockeys have a plan B let alone a plan C, oh they all look very good when getting it right but you watch that race from yesterday and you will see what I mean bear in mind not much was coming from the back at Sandown so they must have known by race five that the place not to be was in rear. From the off Kingscote amongst others but Kingscote in particular came from the stalls all the way over to the rail to sit in last place, from there he went nowhere never even thought about it when even an amateur would have noted the slow pace, even after two three furlongs he never did anything meaning the horse had no chance from that position there were others did the same in the race what did they think? That the front lot would just open up and go backwards? Read the write ups, waiting for room, waiting for room, waiting for room, the odd jockey tried to come round but by the time they made their minds up the winner was trundling along and just ran over the line to win. So all the ratings and or systems and even form take a backseat to the stupidity of jockeys.

One thing I would like to add here one jockey that rarely made a mistake was/is Tom Quealy Henry Cecil knew as much about jockeys and racing than anyone in the world and would never employ an idiot to ride his horses but seemingly most trainers would rather use “B” jockeys than Quealy.

Yes I backed Ocotango (Kingscote) in the race in question so declare if I had of written this last night I would have been accused rightly so of talking through my pocket. If you backed Orbaan, Metal Merchant, or Ocatango and to a lesser extent a few others you was robbed.

Completely agree. I feel very strongly that jockeys don't win races, but they do lose them. I've also never understood why they have a "Champion Jockey" given to the jockey with the most winners. This would indicate that they have been the best jockey for that year when in reality, all they have done is been on the best horses and probably had a lot more rides than others and just doesn't seem right. I agree with what @MCLARKE said about not backing horses with certain jockeys riding and i'm sure it will be a big surprise to most on here when i say that Ryan Moore is top of my list. I think he is the most over-rated jockey i have ever seen. He will only ride decent horses and loses far too many races that the horse was good enough to win because of his poor riding. I'm sure we all have jockeys we don't trust to ride a horse we fancy, but too many of them seem to make such stupid decisions/mistakes and us punters just have to put up with it. Anyway, that jockey you mentioned Quealy, is he riding one at Lingfield later. (Bated Breeze / 1850)
