It looks like there shouldn't have been a deduction as the time of the deduction was 6.51 the previous night rather than 6.51 in the morning. The R4 amendments can be a bit hit and miss.
I have amended his total to 8.17. So he just needs 1.83 points to topple @bymatrix.

This is what I need to happen as a Leeds fan,  so I might as well bet it.  Will be a truly magnificent end to the season in both ways if so!

But, to be fair, no less naive than we would be in believing that the month end long shots are necessarily anyone’s best bet of the day rather than a legitimate attempt to win a prize. Bottom line is you can tweak the rules as much as you like and people will adapt their strategy to play to the limit of the rules and others will again feel it’s contrary to the spirit of the competition. I think people have lost sight of the “fun competition” angle as flagged by @Zilzalianalong with keep it simple and if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
I’d say the odds on shot furore is a massive red herring, no one would be thumping that particular tub if it was about winning the naps comp, the issue is with the prize for most winners. Some people like it some don’t. It would make more sense to call for the prize to be scrapped than odds on shots banned if that’s how you feel. Or you’ll just end up complaining about people picking close to evens shots in a blatant attempt to win the prize.
With regards to minimum winners I’d leave well alone. As @MCLARKEsays, if someone hits a big winner early they could just play at minimum odds (whatever they end up being) in an attempt to secure the win. Better to leave it as it is so that they’re more likely to carry on posting their actual nap for the rest of the month. You could also end up with the comp being done and dusted before month end if the chasing back can no longer hit the minimum number of winners.
Dare I say the competition is fine as it is, resolve the bog issue, stop tinkering and move on. You’ll never please everyone, in life generally and probably more so on here.

Bear in mind some of those 'gameweeks' are mid-week fixtures.
If we count the next two weekends before the international break,
there are 11 weekend sets in the Prem (5 in April, four in May).
8 in the Championship (2 in March, 5 in April, ONE in May). They're
jamming a lot of matches mid-week.
9 in League 1 (3 in March, 5 in April, 1 in May). Ditto on the mid-weeks.
9 in League 2 (3 in March, 5 in April, 1 in May). Same, same.
Scotland has 5 (ONE in March, 4 in April)
Bundesliga has 11 (2 in March, 5 in April, 4 in May)
La Liga has 10 (2 in March, 5 in April, 3 in May)
Ligue 1 has 12 (2 in March, 5 in April, 4 in May, 1 in June)
Serie A has 12 (2 in March, 5 in April, 4 in May, 1 in June)
Info from soccerstats, just trawl through 'matches'.

With all attention on Cheltenham sometimes it is easy to miss some real nuggets elsewhere and we have one tomorrow night in the 7:30 at Kempton East Asia ridden by Billy Buick has an outstanding chance, this horse was beaten 5 1/2L into second by Manobo at last years Dubai carnival (G3) in an incredible time. Manobo is the 2nd fastest horse over 1m6f i have ever recorded (Arc winner Alpenista being the fastest). Priced up at 7/2 for tomorrows race i fully expect East Asia to win this and then go on to win the final on AW champions day. My only concern and it is a small concern is that it hasn't won on the AW but the 7/2 price offsets that because in my opinion in this class 3 it should be evens or shorter.
Warning since posting- East Asia has taken a walk in the market it is an unbelievable 7/1 as i type, either this horse is "not off" today or it is totally underestimated, I suspect it is the former and cling precariously to the hope that it is the later. It may well be running as "tune up" qualifier for aw finals day. Its best performance was first time up last year so it can run well fresh. It will be very interesting to see how this pans out. Either way it tells you all you need to know about what is wrong with the racing game, the bookies and connections have access to information that the punter does not and that is wrong, if this horse loses today and then wins on finals day it just confirms what we already know and that is we are being treated like mugs.

120 started, only 102 made it to the final week, 243 winning bets achieved with 89 of us having at least one winner.  36 players completed 10 weeks in profit.
As usual in final week we had some massive bets which resulted in a few M A S S I V E wins, lots of losses and only 17 winners overall.  The top 4 Divisions came good in the end and made an overall profit with Division 8 joining in too, and creditable efforts by the other 3 means we jointly ended up for the season.
Top of the overall after an emormous final week gamble is @Marek76   followed by @1945harry, both jumping up the table with 4 figure final banks . @Procalc and @Budgie 65 keep their places amongst the top 5 having been there for several weeks and @dj.orange leaps up the table in between them with a final week big win.   Well done to our top 5 overall, but creditable mention also to @silver fox and @Cuko who finished behind on £500+ banks.
@Procalc managed an amazing 8 winning weeks with @Gray306 on 7 and @buga00 on 6.
Here's the overall table,  Divisions to follow shortly.

Brilliant, cheers all, I'll take a look at soccerstats.  Looks like I'll be at home on a snow day tomorrow so I should get season 2 results wrapped up and new Divisions sorted, and I'll make a decision on weeks.  Don't want to go out with a wimper but if we have Prem plus all the Europeans it should work ok.

I'd suggest one of the following options, having just had a look at the fixtures.
Take a one week break and go again from the 18th of March for a 10 week season ending on the weekend of the 27th May (final week of Prem) with a break for the International weekend 25th March Or take a 3 week break (rather than play a single week before the International break) and start on 1st April for a 9 week season (same end week) Either way, the fixtures are going to thin out as the Scottish and lower English leagues finish a few weeks earlier than the rest.
